yes you can just ensure you have the right type of RAM installed.

Good day sir, my hp pavilion g4 runs hot most times and when this happens I notice that the fan is making a noise like it's blowing really fast, perhaps faster than normal. I've tried clearing the RAM by stopping some background processes and uninstalling some apps but it didn't help much.
I also noticed that when the fan is spinning very fast I hear this frightening noise like something close to the fan is loose and the fan is just blowing the thing all over the place. Sometimes this noise goes off when I boot the system on, other times when I'm running some apps like VLC.
Lastly the system goes off without warning when the battery gets to 35% or thereabouts. Here are my pc configurations: core i3 500gb/4gb cpu @2.67ghz

dont think your VGA card has issue. remove one RAM start the system with just one RAM then do the same for the other RAM.

I don't know if the VGA on board is faulty or not...but it was initially working properly before the system had the start and stop problem

Yes, the VGA card is on board

First remove the battery and hold down your power button for about 30 sec to discharge then insert your battery and charger and check if its charging.

good morning, I was working on my system yesterday in order not for me not to drain the battery cos I still have few works to do later, I shut down the system. Then when NEPA restored the light I find out it is not charging. hoping that it is the power cord. I removed it and try to switched it on but it wasn't coming up. I later find out power is not entering the motherboard. pls I need an assistance very urgent. cos no money to buy another system in this buhari regime. You can use a third party software to bypass the admin password just check online you have some free version you can use.

ok there are bad sectors in that hard drive, attempt doing system repair from a windows CD, you might evetually need to backup all your files and reinstall windows.

But try the system repair first from a windows CD.

Well yes as there might eventually be some hardware complications as time goes on if he can reverse it that will be fine.

Am using HP pavilion dv6 with an AMD motherboard, lately, it had a motherboard issue due to overheating and an engineer here in Abuja fixed it for me through reprogramming, he also increased the speed of the fan saying that it will help and minimize heating.

Now anytime I power on the system, I get this message about the speed of the fan but the engineer asked me to ignore it. There's also this sound from the fan. I just want to know the implications of increasing the speed of the fan. Secondly, please can you tell me how to maintain my laptop so as not to encounter another motherboard problem especially as I am using it for architectural works.

Thank you, first AMD processor are basically known to generate so much heat when in use and its life span is less as compared to intel that is one of the downside of using a system with AMD processor however they also have their advantage too.

Well the implication of increasing the fan speed is that the hardware configuration of the system has been altered that is why you get that message and the noise however as far as the increased fan speed keep getting a large amount of heat away from the system it might probably serve you for sometime.

My advise is when you use your system please ensure its in a well ventilated environment if possible an air condition room also observe your system if the heat gets too much over a long period of time please shut down and let it cool for sometime before use.
