God1000:Nigerians don't really understand these things. |
I will also add that the citizens of these countries are indebted as well in that order. Let's start with the USA - most students become debtors just to go to school. They repay student loans all their life. Let's go to the 101st position- Nigeria has cheaper university fees than Ghana and Kenya. |
Both didn't campaign based on what they achieved. Their campaigns were based on cutting cost of governance and fighting corruption. |
Massiveglory:Peter Obi will never be Nigerian President. |
![]() The honourable man of God didn't do like Northern CAN members 👇Obi wanted an endorsement like the one below. Peter Obi is angry with him.
|
![]() What ifs |
socialmediaman:You're deluded. |
Peter Obi stood a chance in the Christian North because of Islamophobia. They play religious politics there and it showed in their voting pattern. He won Plateau State which records the most gruesome religious crisis in the country. Christian leaders in Taraba and Southern Kaduna literally curse their followers for voting for Muslims after every election. Same reason why Tinubu chose a Muslim vice President from the North East. It was Tinubu's only option to even stand a chance. If a Christian was given the APC ticket and Peter Obi contested under labour party, ATIKU Abubakar would win. This election was more religious than ethnic- Atiku lost the North West and Muslim Muslim Ticket won. It was religion-driven and competency had no place. All Tinubu has to do to win a rerun in 2027 is to ensure that no Muslim contests.

Documentary evidence will only come from INEC's archive. The pictures, downloads , screenshots etc will not be admissible as evidence at the Tribunal. After the media fun, real lawyers do their job. The ex-parte order granted today by the Court of Appeal/Presidential Election Tribunal is for PDP and LP to inspect INEC materials and get their evidence from there to argue their cases. https://www.nairaland.com/7594342/oppositions-chances-slim-tribunal-legal |
I don't feel bad. I just laugh at the ignorance of people who blame judges. |
It's the normal process. Documentary evidence to be tendered at the tribunal won't come from anywhere but from the archives of INEC. It is why they are accessing election materials kept by INEC. |
TheOldGods:Lol. I don't want to reduce my IQ, so I'll pass. |
TheOldGods:Go back to what I wrote. I answered your question in the first paragraph setting an instance where oral, real or secondary evidence may be accepted. Videos, pictures etc may be admissible to prove voters' intimidation or abuse. As long as it has to do with results, only primary evidence that is the result itself (as written and signed on paper) is admissible. |
drlateef:Yes, they are very right. That's what section 133 of the Electoral Act 2022 states. The parties to the case are very right. The petition is against the winner. Even someone who came 18th can only bring the petition against INEC, the winner and the political party of the winner. |
UK America Ecowas, etc have all congratulated Tinubu. He's the President. You hate him so much that you find it hard to believe that he will govern you. It is the art of gambling never to be 100% sure. See the link to their official Twitter handle where they debunked the fake news. https://twitter.com/EUinNigeria/status/1631583547449397250?t=nGvEefC1pKEwfnWUEGF4rQ&s=19

ogologoamu:Jailed for what? 😂 |
Wondering why Labour Party got votes in Plateau State, Taraba, Abuja , Nasarawa and Southern Kaduna? Read the kind of politics Northern Christians play below especially number 2👇
|
Op, do you have the full document? |
TheOldGods:Videos/ pictures may be evidence of voters attacks. Oral evidence may be given to prove that voters were attacked. However, regarding the results, documentary evidence is required. You do not prove that you're a graduate in court by showing the court a picture of you holding your Bachelor's degree certificate on your convocation day. You prove that you are a graduate of a University by tendering the certificate/degree issued by your alma mater in court. If you can't find the original certificate, the next thing you can tender is a certified true copy of the certificate issued by your university. You don't even prove that you are married statutorily in court by showing the court a photograph of your wedding or calling oral evidence. You prove in court that you are married by tendering your marriage certificate as evidence. Those things are for the media. That's the law. A public document is proven in court by tendering primary evidence- the document itself. In this case, the result itself. |
IamANigerianMan:I come from a lineage of exceptional lawyers ![]() |
This is the fairest elections in the history of Nigeria! It doesn't mean that there isn't room for INEC to improve. |
famology:Thank you. He was talking nonsense. |
You lack the locus standi to initiate an election case. |
https://www.nairaland.com/7594342/oppositions-chances-slim-tribunal-legal vanitybutiwanti Chances are slim. |
Congratulations to Bola Ahmad Tinubu, the President-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
|
This is the best elections conducted in the history of Nigeria. |
DMerciful:Yes. If it was 100% certain, I wouldn't put it as one of the legal issues. It's still a SAN that the oppositions employ who will bring up the issue ![]() However, the honourable justices of the court of appeal and probably the supreme court are more likely to be consistent with their interpretation of the FCT as a State . It's a 95:5 scenario. |
DMerciful:These are basic principles of the relevant statutes. They are the A B C of the Law. The court won't interprete differently because they are not contentious. |
