it begs 2 ask this question; why some may ask but the isn't 2 far....
since 2015 the price of crude oil has bn under $55/barrel simple economics & logical reasoning entails that it's should also affect d price of petrol (bn a derivative of crude oil).

by Dec 2015 we woke 2 a new price of N86/86.50, with rumours of subsidy removal. That d new price was obtained from the fall of international price of oil.

fast-forward 2016 April in d height of d scarcity crisis Nigerians we told; credited to a publication dn I quote:
"According to the agency, the Expected Open Market Price of petrol for non-NNPC stations as at April 2, 2016 was N92.34 per litre, against an official pump price of N86.5 per litre, leaving an under-recovery or subsidy of N5.84 per litre.
Similarly, the template for NNPC-run stations showed that the government was paying N5.80 per litre as subsidy, as the EOMP for outlets in this category was N91.80 per litre as against an official rate of N86 per litre.
The EOMP is the actual cost of petrol without subsidy and comprises of the landing cost of the product as well as its subtotal margins like transporters charge, admin fee, dealers cost, bridging fund, etc.
On the retained pump price of petrol, the Acting Executive Secretary, PPPRA, Mrs. Sotonye Iyoyo, said: “The agency is retaining the retail prices of N86.00 for the NNPC, and N86.50 for the other marketing companies. The pump price of household kerosene also remains unchanged from what it was in the last quarter."

Now a summary of this is N86.50 + N5.80 would be N92.30 non-subsidised fuel pump price. let's factor in some extras N2.70 and close @ N95. would it b much 2 deliver petrol to nigerians @ N95 and d government making an extra N1 on every liter of petrol sold 2 Nigerians?, d answer is NO.

YET someone has d nerve 2 try and sell us the same subsidy removal crap, as d reason by d APC govt wants 2 sell petrol @ N145/L in an oil producing country......

Pls do the math N145-N95 or even N100 U still get something of N45 as marginal profit trying 2 exploit Nigerians" as if d N50 bank transaction levy no do them"...........

IS Mr. President AWARE? cos I feel d country is on Auto-pilot,,,, with no destination.
