Family / Re: Water Filter & Purifier- What's Your Experience Using It by Euforia: 12:15pm On Feb 13
GenderMix:
Hello guys

Considering the cost of refilling water dispenser or buying bottled water , I am considering getting a water purifier but I'm not sure of it's safety.

Ever used a water filter and purifier like the image below? How safe is it , how long does it last and at what cost?

I'll appreciate feedback. Appreciate

This is a very interesting topic and I was expecting a barrage of posts.
We need to pay a lot more attention to our water especially the one ingested directly.

I am interested in purchasing a water purification system for domestic use.

Any advise here?

I'm actually into delivery. I do delivery for some online vendors, I use public transportation, And each delivery I charge 2,200. At the end of d day I net about 40k and gross 15-20k depends on locations I go to.

So the car u talking about is actually a very big step in reducing cost of expenses. Also, when I don't have deliveries at hand I have a link of transporting students from Mushin - Unilag and vice versa, And sienna is what is accepted. I can gross about 15-20k depends on how many trips I do.

There's no risk here, I have been into transportation for years. You can entrust me with the car

Your analysis doesn't add up. Perhaps you are using the wrong terms. You cannot have a gross of 15-20k and a net of 40k.

Secondly I need a clearer picture as regards the consistency of the Logistics flow/contract/availability.

Lets rub minds together

Lets say you live in Lagos...........as a matter of fact you must have resided in Lagos for a while.

If you are young,
smart and educated with a very positive attitude................

I I gave you a Sienna van with a Driver and 10 liters of fuel, what could you achieve in about 5-10 hours.

Only 3 - 4 people will be selected initially.
Business / Re: If I Gave You A Car And Driver For One Day................... by Euforia: 12:35am On Jan 11
I cannot risk releasing the car to you. Too many untidy ends.

Secondly you need to indicate what you actually do and how you will ensure that your 30k is presented at the end of the day as gross profit.
I am only selecting a few people at the first instance.

Danremmy:
I don't need a driver as I will drive myself.
5-10 hours with a 10 litres of petrol?

I should be 30k richer by the end of d day

Sienna u say, and a driver?
I'd remove all the seats, stuck it up with all kinds of Fruits from water melons, plantains, tubers of yams etc. I know how to attract my clients, before 5-10hrs. I could almost sell all if not sold it all off.

Impressive!

I need a few more responses before we move to the next level.

1. Where is your location?

2. Where would you source your goods from?

3. Where is your target market (Sales location)

4. How would you go about disposing of the goods within 5 - 10 hours?

5. What particular strategy would you use....wholesale/retail?

6. How would you source your initial capital? Remember I am only providing a car and driver + Fuel.

7. How much is your capital and how much would be your gross profit?

Just a tip......!

You may consider reviewing your prices downwards.

I assure you that you will be relieved of this stuff immediately you do the needful. Its a clearance thread and the peeps here are looking for dirt cheap bargains. Just imagine selling in a flea market or sending your stuff to a charity bazaar.

Again, its just my opinion.

I come in peace.

Wheat is not a tropical crop.
Even the highly genetically modified varieties adapted to warmer conditions struggles to yield in these parts.Very few countries have the geographical latitude to cultivate every staple or every cash crop out there.
If I remember my geography right, I think it is only the United States that has both tropical and temperate climates suitable for everything from wheat in the north and middle, palm in the south and citruses in sunny California.

No country is self sufficient in everything.
What nations do is to dominate where they have comparative advantage and use those gains to subsidise imports. Why are we not dominating where we are naturally endowed?

Your education at all levels was qualitative and will yield results. It's the few people like you on Nairaland that gives us hope. It can't be so bad after all.

This bakers association is just an association of opportunists.

This is rather harsh and does not reflect the reality on ground. If you know just a little about that industry you will commend them highly. It's a highly strung sector with obstacles on every side. Any time the Naira suffers it directly impacts on them. Perhaps you do not know that virtually ALL materials used in the production of bread is imported at some level.

Tinubu did not remove Ambode......you people just think its only Tinubu that is in Lagos.....Ambode tried to make himself the next Jagaban and stepped on many toes to try and reach those heights forgetting and hurting those who helped him to the governorship.....till the primary election day Tinubu was going back and forth begging for ambode.......but Lagosians told Tinubu should ambode get that ticket they will vote massively for pdp and baba kept quiet......ambode was a selfish, greedy, unappreciative person and his wife behavior was the final nail that sealed his governorship coffin[quote]

Are you sure about he bolded? It sounds fantastic to me. I really don't think if Tinubu had kept his foot down in favour of Ambode anyone would have resisted him. You must credit Tinubu with his political dexterity and suaveness acquired painstakingly over the years.

I don't quite agree with thee italicized part of the above. That he was greedy is not news, most politicians are, they he was selfish is a matter of conjecture as his cronies may not agree with you, his being unappreciative is a relative matter. Your expectations were not met regarding his show of gratitude but some other people may not think so. They may think he is the most grateful person alive.

Finally, you need to personally reappraise your concept of politics and governance in the light of the era we live in. I observe from your post that you are more concerned about the prebendalism and personal appropriation than the general advantages that should accrue from good governance.

My opinion though and no offence meant.

Is this a joke. Anambra needs simple economic solutions. The money and allowances for these heavy weights will drain our coffers

What makes you think that these guys are interested in any reward?

At their level just showing up to support Soludo is an act of goodwill that they can afford.

Look through that list, there is no e among them that cannot afford his/her flight tickets and hotel bills for that period.

Also look beyond the ensemble, Soludo is showing the world his trajectory even before being sworn in as a governor.

Our best bet is to watch him and also encourage him. He may just set the tone for a new approach to governance.

Anambra has indeed assumed the pacesetter status. Kudos to Peter Obi who was the trailblazer here making it possible for a minimum standard tro be set.

Then again I wasn't blaming anyone. You just up and supposed I was and started assuming.

And wow. You say things as if it is all too easy.
Kudos to your energy. But before commenting on threads like this I suggest you understand the situation of the individual before trying to advice people in a put down manner. Everyone here are striving for a better life and means of livelihood. Just because you have got it figured out doesn't make you the smartest person you know.

Sir, you are taking my contributions a bit too personal. My intentions are far from repudiation. I just desire that people view things from an objective perspective despite their immediate circumstances.

Really, I don't need to know the situation/or prevailing circumstances of the 'victim'. If you are objective enough on your appraisal you will find out that what matters is how you react and nothing else. You have absolute control over how you REACT. You can't control what happens but you definitely hold the reins to your reaction.

I am only trying to help drawing from my experience. In every situation try not to dwell on crying wolf but seek a way out of the quagmire. The earlier you start thinking o a solution the aster you are going to get out of the logjam.

Finally, I am not trying to put anyone down. On the contrary I would prefer to provide guidance and perhaps a helping nudge when necessary. Only difference here is that you pity the victim and blame his assailants while I offer him strength to forge ahead and overcome.

....And I am only connecting the dots going backwards. My own life and experiencing is still ongoing bug the difference is that I now operate on as different albeit higher vibrational frequency.

There is nothing wrong with what the guy said. Even as an employee you are creating value for the company/employer who in turn sells this created value to those who need it in return for payments that are then shared according to a predetermined schedule.

Every interview is a platform for us to showcase our potential regarding value creation for the company we seek to be employed in.

I can tell you that my contribution alone to that company has earned a whopping 200m. It's a loan recovery firm. It doesn't matter what you can do. Where you can't dispel your skills because there is simply no platform for it is tha main problem. Would you employ a linguist in an engeering firm? We just do what we can do to survive simply because there is no platform to propel ourselves into something lucreative that will bring about results.
So your assertion is not well met my man

If your contribution to he company yielded 200 Mill as you indicated above and you are still treated with disdain then something is really wrong. But then again, if you can contribute 200 Mill to the bottomline of a company then you should be a very highly sought after resource. You would never lack in attention as every HR operative would be out there trying to poach you.

And please change your mindset, your abilities, capacity and very importantly your attitude means so very much. As a matter of fact if means everything.

Finally, if you can find a platform to express yourself appropriately then creat one. It can't be that hard for a man of tremendous capacity like you.

Stop blaming others and take full reign of your life.

Where I'm working, I'm being paid 50k. I'm only going because it doesn't meet a basic standard of living. I can't even dream of saving and it's time consuming. So that's why I said I'm not gainfully employed . I can't even eat a balanced meal. 1.. 0...1. No buying of clothes. Transportation and food alone has taken up everything .

Inspire of all your complaints, ensure that you are learning something of value that will be useful to you tomorrow.

Many employees are shortchanged by incompetent employees who in turn feel underpaid.

The balance is only attained when an experienced and hands-on employee is engaged and he begins to perform. The difference is then as clear as day.

My position is that in all cases we Earn' exactly what we deserve.....nothing more and nothing less.
