I can tell you that my contribution alone to that company has earned a whopping 200m. It's a loan recovery firm. It doesn't matter what you can do. Where you can't dispel your skills because there is simply no platform for it is tha main problem. Would you employ a linguist in an engeering firm? We just do what we can do to survive simply because there is no platform to propel ourselves into something lucreative that will bring about results.
So your assertion is not well met my man
If your contribution to he company yielded 200 Mill as you indicated above and you are still treated with disdain then something is really wrong. But then again, if you can contribute 200 Mill to the bottomline of a company then you should be a very highly sought after resource. You would never lack in attention as every HR operative would be out there trying to poach you.

And please change your mindset, your abilities, capacity and very importantly your attitude means so very much. As a matter of fact if means everything.

Finally, if you can find a platform to express yourself appropriately then creat one. It can't be that hard for a man of tremendous capacity like you.

Stop blaming others and take full reign of your life.

You may include your academic background, professional experience if any, and perhaps describe in detail what you have accomplished previously.

Prayer is all well and good...but other elements all come into play when working towards success.

You must commit to smart thinking, doggedness, consistency and above all develop a balance that ensures that you discern between well meant advice and critisms bornee out of envy or naivety.

However, if you keep your eye on the goal, I assure you that in a short while you will amaze yourself and others with your own strides.

Best of wishes and do keep us posted.

Where I'm working, I'm being paid 50k. I'm only going because it doesn't meet a basic standard of living. I can't even dream of saving and it's time consuming. So that's why I said I'm not gainfully employed . I can't even eat a balanced meal. 1.. 0...1. No buying of clothes. Transportation and food alone has taken up everything .
Inspire of all your complaints, ensure that you are learning something of value that will be useful to you tomorrow.

Many employees are shortchanged by incompetent employees who in turn feel underpaid.

The balance is only attained when an experienced and hands-on employee is engaged and he begins to perform. The difference is then as clear as day.

My position is that in all cases we Earn' exactly what we deserve.....nothing more and nothing less.

I have but I still need more money
No you don't.

All you need do is to start working with what you have available at the moment. Your horizon will then widen and possibilities will emerge ............but more importantly you and your business will become more attractive to investors.

Your biggest crime is waiting until you have 'enough' cash. That is such a tall expectation.

pls sir any help you can offer me sir i will appreciate
the people I was expecting to be there for me have cut contact and won't even pick my calls again
there is a particular job I'm aiming for(sadly also factory work) because I'm tired of staying at home and doing nothing
my sister that I used her account number on the first page of this post told me her account has issues,I've not even seen one kobo since using her account
but the main issue now is of the job I'm currently aiming for
sir if I can see any help from you, especially financially
I will appreciate it
if you are not in a position to help, please kindly tell me so sir
I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable and I would totally understand
thanks
Why don't you heal complete and then come out requesting for a job at that point?

Quite frankly, at the moment you won't be particularly useful in any role requiring physical exertion and it appears that your current qualifications, skill-set and experience limit you to this kind of jobs.

There are many offers here on Nairaland, things you can start immediately and make money daily or weekly as the case may be. Rad carefully through threads where people recount their experiences and draw the necessary impetus from there.

Finally, you need to strengthen your resolve to 'Earn' legitimately rather than benefit from charity. That is one long never ending spiral that wi make you cpletley useless to yourself sooner than later.

Best of luck.

Good day guys, i have a problem with my 2013 Hyundai Accent. It doesn't start, my rewire guy did all he could and later concluded its the brainbox. We've gotten more than 10 brainbox to replace it, its either it starts but doesnt enter gear or when it does select gears easily, the airconditioner doesnt come on. I'm looking for best advise on how to proceed with this problem as the car has been down in excess of a month. Heard if i take it to Hyundai Nigeria, it can be there for more than 6months as the brainbox will be ordered before it can be fixed. If you know any good repairer of vendor for the brainbox, i'll be more than glad to get the details.
So relieved to come across this thread. I am going through the same experience too. As a matter of fact I've parked the car now for over 6 months as I simply cannot make head or tail of the matter. Mine is a 2010 Accent and different brain boxes have been experimented with. Is there anyone who can help?

CareerRe: Can An Employer Be Sued For Paying Less Than 30k Minimum Wage? by Euforia: 12:43pm On Nov 21, 2021
Talk2david1:
Good evening nairalanders. I need an answer to the above question most preferably by the lawyers in this forum. Sometime ago, the President signed into law the new minimum wage of #30,000 but some employers especially private school owners still pay their staff as low as #10,000 monthly. Even here in calabar some weeks ago, the street sweepers were protesting for not being paid their '#7,500' salary for 6 months. My question is,
Does the #30,000 minimum wage apply only to government workers or are private employees suppose to adhere to this law also?
And in a case where you work in big Private school that makes up to 70 million in a term, can You sue your employer for paying less than the minimum wage without loosing your job or being fired?
Of course he can.

The court is the last resort of the 'common man' even when he has zero skills, poor attitude to work, is inept or grossly irresponsible and perhaps displays outright stupidity on all fronts.

Yes he can. And he should.

In doing so he finally leaves nobody in doubt as per his intelligence quotient.

We all get jobs we deserve at every point in time. Creation is perfect and so are the Laws governing and sustaining life.

Go figure......!

I'm not in support or against but electrical go go faulty at any time even with warranty.. Anybody buying used items must have it at the back of his mind that he/she is gambling that's why it need to be tested and apart from testing come to agreement with the seller that within so period if the item developed faults, the seller either refunds or repair??
This may just be the most objective post here.
I was a bit shaken by the vile choice of words the seller chose to use and of course the tone he adopted.
Whether the product was his or not is not the question here. What matters most is the fact that this was a used equipment which for all purposes and intent was 'tested' by the buyers representative. On the strength of the test result she paid for the product and then called out the buyer 2/3 weeks after the purchase. Here again the reason for the delay in alerting the buyer shouldn't be an issue here because if a product has a warranty and it expires it wouldn't matter if you suffered a stroke for the entire warranty period. It would still be voided.

When you buy a used item especially when you have been afforded the opportunity to test same, you really shouldn't recourse to a refund especially after two weeks. That is the reality of this case. It is good to know that the seller has agreed to refund but that is his discretion. Going by his assertion that the item was working perfectly well when bought I WOULDN'T refund the buyer in as much as my conscience is clear.....bit then that is me and not him.

Good luck to all.

What info will we be supplying?
Essentially, a driver and/or Salesperson meets you on a daily basis and all you are required to do is to show him around the neighbourhood with particular emphasis on both major and minor retail outlets.

They will then use their discretion in evaluating the potential of the neighbourhood for the different products that the company(ies) have in mind.

That's a very dangerous thought pattern you have there. Perhaps these anomalies can feature in a public service recruitment exercise and maybe even really large organisations, but in all honesty any serious private business driven by the desire to excel will choose proficiency and competence over all other primordial considerations.

All you need to do is become the very best in your chosen area of calling and then the sky will become your launch pad.

How do you make ends meet at this time?

Where is your location?

How long has this been going on?

I hope you know that this could be a choice you have opted to make.

Boundless opportunities out there that pay at least 5 times more than that for a man of your capabilities.

Or could it just be the relative ease which teaching offers?

I don't understand.

This is a very interesting thread.

I hope it doesn't develop into a pity party but will provide the necessary impetus that will enable us lift ourselves out of the present circumstances we currently experience.

My observations (right or wrong but drawn from conviction) are as as follows;

The education system has become stale and is no longer producing graduates for the present. As a result of this the curriculum of the 1940s is what si used to prepare graduates for 2021 and beyond.

Many graduates have not decided what they want. All they seek is a fixed regular income without regard to their inputs to the system. That's why you find people taking temporary jobs that eventually turn into permanence.

This cannot never provide the stimulus for excellence. Without excellence you will only float with the wind.
The first step for every graduate is to identify the profession/vocation you are interested in and then get a foothold by entering the area at an entry level and then remain there by consistent improvements through training and development.

The second step is to look at the future and refuse to emphasize the present in terms of earnings or reward. Sow now by becoming proficient and we'll sought after and then you reap in multiples when you are reliable brand. But you must be able to grow to that level first and this will take painstaking work and patience but the end will be so rewarding and fulfilling you won't remember the pains and time/resources invested.
