Jobs/Vacancies / Re: I by Euforia: 1:47pm On Dec 05, 2021 |
immortalityk: Why don't you heal complete and then come out requesting for a job at that point? Quite frankly, at the moment you won't be particularly useful in any role requiring physical exertion and it appears that your current qualifications, skill-set and experience limit you to this kind of jobs. There are many offers here on Nairaland, things you can start immediately and make money daily or weekly as the case may be. Rad carefully through threads where people recount their experiences and draw the necessary impetus from there. Finally, you need to strengthen your resolve to 'Earn' legitimately rather than benefit from charity. That is one long never ending spiral that wi make you cpletley useless to yourself sooner than later. Best of luck. |

gregoma: So relieved to come across this thread. I am going through the same experience too. As a matter of fact I've parked the car now for over 6 months as I simply cannot make head or tail of the matter. Mine is a 2010 Accent and different brain boxes have been experimented with. Is there anyone who can help? |

Career / Re: Can An Employer Be Sued For Paying Less Than 30k Minimum Wage? by Euforia: 12:43pm On Nov 21, 2021 |
Talk2david1: Of course he can. The court is the last resort of the 'common man' even when he has zero skills, poor attitude to work, is inept or grossly irresponsible and perhaps displays outright stupidity on all fronts. Yes he can. And he should. In doing so he finally leaves nobody in doubt as per his intelligence quotient. We all get jobs we deserve at every point in time. Creation is perfect and so are the Laws governing and sustaining life. Go figure......! |

Family / Re: House Clearance Sales.. Come In Here!!!! by Euforia: 8:52am On Jun 16, 2021 |
nickyvil: This may just be the most objective post here. I was a bit shaken by the vile choice of words the seller chose to use and of course the tone he adopted. Whether the product was his or not is not the question here. What matters most is the fact that this was a used equipment which for all purposes and intent was 'tested' by the buyers representative. On the strength of the test result she paid for the product and then called out the buyer 2/3 weeks after the purchase. Here again the reason for the delay in alerting the buyer shouldn't be an issue here because if a product has a warranty and it expires it wouldn't matter if you suffered a stroke for the entire warranty period. It would still be voided. When you buy a used item especially when you have been afforded the opportunity to test same, you really shouldn't recourse to a refund especially after two weeks. That is the reality of this case. It is good to know that the seller has agreed to refund but that is his discretion. Going by his assertion that the item was working perfectly well when bought I WOULDN'T refund the buyer in as much as my conscience is clear.....bit then that is me and not him. Good luck to all. 9 Likes |

nuel000: Essentially, a driver and/or Salesperson meets you on a daily basis and all you are required to do is to show him around the neighbourhood with particular emphasis on both major and minor retail outlets. They will then use their discretion in evaluating the potential of the neighbourhood for the different products that the company(ies) have in mind. |

Austineva: That's a very dangerous thought pattern you have there. Perhaps these anomalies can feature in a public service recruitment exercise and maybe even really large organisations, but in all honesty any serious private business driven by the desire to excel will choose proficiency and competence over all other primordial considerations. All you need to do is become the very best in your chosen area of calling and then the sky will become your launch pad. 2 Likes |

Austineva: Bros it is difficult to believe you are earning 10k monthly? How do you make ends meet at this time? Where is your location? How long has this been going on? I hope you know that this could be a choice you have opted to make. Boundless opportunities out there that pay at least 5 times more than that for a man of your capabilities. Or could it just be the relative ease which teaching offers? I don't understand. 2 Likes |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: 15k Salary Job....life After Graduation Is Hell by Euforia: 10:04am On Apr 21, 2021 |
Euforia: The first step for every graduate is to identify the profession/vocation you are interested in and then get a foothold by entering the area at an entry level and then remain there by consistent improvements through training and development. The second step is to look at the future and refuse to emphasize the present in terms of earnings or reward. Sow now by becoming proficient and we'll sought after and then you reap in multiples when you are reliable brand. But you must be able to grow to that level first and this will take painstaking work and patience but the end will be so rewarding and fulfilling you won't remember the pains and time/resources invested. 1 Like |

This is a very interesting thread. I hope it doesn't develop into a pity party but will provide the necessary impetus that will enable us lift ourselves out of the present circumstances we currently experience. My observations (right or wrong but drawn from conviction) are as as follows; The education system has become stale and is no longer producing graduates for the present. As a result of this the curriculum of the 1940s is what si used to prepare graduates for 2021 and beyond. Many graduates have not decided what they want. All they seek is a fixed regular income without regard to their inputs to the system. That's why you find people taking temporary jobs that eventually turn into permanence. This cannot never provide the stimulus for excellence. Without excellence you will only float with the wind. |

Religion / Re: Man Donates His Family House To Christ Embassy, Family About To Be Thrown Out by Euforia: 9:32pm On Mar 02, 2021 |
thorpido: Don't count too much on that. Christ Embassy as an entity has been embroiled in too many issues regarding 'donations' and sometimes outright arm twisting. Several years ago there was a story that made the rounds which a senior Christian Police top brass (A DIG at that time) corroborated. It revolved around donations made to abtune ofb32/34 Billion made by a staff of Sheraton Hotels, Ikeja. The man was eventually arrested and when interrogated he revealed with evidences that he made consistent donations to Christ Embassy as a church. As a matter of fact he produced a letter of commendation presented to him in recognition of his support to the ministry. What beat my imagination then was when the church was asked to refund the money and it is reported that Pastor Chris said he wouldn't as the money now belonged to the Almighty. I was shocked to my marrows. To worsen it wall the church never issued a statement on that matter till this day. A second incident was when they encroached on land belongin to a friend of mine in Ogun State and then when the owner accosted them they threatened him with fire and brimstones swearing theta the land was for God. The church assured the owner that they had the best lawyers and if course public sympathy and only offered him a pittance for the land. As would be expected the matter went as far as the supreme court before they had some sense and begged for an out of court settlement. Your guess is as good as mine. My friend took them to the cleaners. 8 Likes |
