Elechi to decamp to labour party after been disgraced out of primaries by his deputy umahi.

I am now begining to like Ebonyi politics. The is a big and strong opposition now unlike before.

during the All Progressives
Congress (APC) primary in Ebonyi State yesterday as
thugs invaded the party
secretariat, venue of the
exercise. The primary which started
peacefully, degenerated to
chaos when thugs loyal to
one of the aspirants stormed
the venue and attacked
policemen at the place. An eyewitness said trouble
started when the hoodlums
noticed that their aspirant
was losing votes and alleged
that the list of delegates the
electoral committee was using was not the authentic
list and insisted that they
should use the original list. The Police Public Relations
Officer (PPRO) in the state, Mr.
Chris Anyanwu, an Assistant
Superintendent of Police (ASP)
, who confirmed the incident,
said no fewer than 100 thugs were arrested during the
melee. “The APC primary at the party
secretariat was going on
smoothly amidst tight
security provided by police
command in the state, and as
the delegates were being called on local government
basis, it was discovered that
the party’s working
committee came up with a
different list when Ezza South
Local Government Area was called and the delegate did
not accept. “In the process, the election
turned violent, if not for the
timely intervention of
policemen, the secretariat
would have been taken over
by the hoodlums because of the chaos. Over 100 of the
hoodlums were rounded up
and the state department of
investigation was quizzing
those arrested over the
incident. As soon as it come with its report, those found
culpable will be charged to
court immediately. They
injured one of the policemen
and he is receiving
treatment,” the PPRO said.

South/Afikpo North Federal

Chairman of Ohaukwu
Local Government Area of the
state, Hon Sunday Inyima and
the member 2, Ebonyi State
Local government service Commission, Chief Ogodo Ali
were said to have
discontinued with their
ambition following a
harmonization talks by the

Sincerely I just like what is going on because Ebonyi is too quiet which I don't like but my problem now is that I don't like dat Umahi of a guy,he's too rugged and crooky.
Left for me I would've love Onyebuchi Chukwu to win the race.

right from the time of Sam Egwu,it is aparent that they is no strong opposition or even a preasure group in Ebonyi.and this gave way to power monopoly. After the 2011 election have you in anyway seen or heard somebody criticising Elechi's government openly? I also like the little fracture between Umahi and Elechi,but it would have made more brain if it was to be between pdp and anotier political party.

Don't be suprise that Umahi will step down for Onyebuchi.PDP can not trade Ebonyi state.majority of Ebonyians knows that the current deputy governor Umahi is a tyrant.if Onyebuchi should decamp to APGA he is going to sweep 90% vote of Ebonyi if the election is free and fair.

Eunisam, it is so pathetic. Umahi has taken over Ebonyi and Elechi and Onyebuchi are hopeless. I am hearing Onyebuchi is considering moving to Apga. You know if the pdp guber' primaries hold on monday Umahi will win? Onyebuchi wants to move to apga and dispose Anthony agbo. I doubt Agbo will let him. It is almost game over for Elechi and Onyebuchi.

What my eyes saw yesterday
my mouth cannot speak all. I
was near the court premises
when Umahi thugs arrived and
started war. My question is
why should Elechi send his people to go and get a court
injunction to stop today's
primary without making sure
there is enough security to fight
of Umahi thugs? How can a
sitting Governor allow anyone to be chasing him around like a
goat? I know Elechi is a
peaceful governor but there
should be a limit to what
someone can take. Does it
mean Elechi is too scared to use the resources at his disposal to
fight his deputy? Umahi sends
people we know are not
soldiers dressed as one with
guns and yet Elechi cannot
invite real Army to fight them. What is going on. Now Umahi
has all the House Assembly
members, if Elechi allows that
to be then better he just hand
over to his deputy now because
in 2015 even if Onyebuchi becomes the governor, with
Umuhai completely incharge of
House of Assembly, Onyebuchi
will be impeached in less than a
week. My advise to Elechi is
move to another party. Umahi with the support of Anyim and
other heavy weights have
bribed Olisa Metu and Abuja
PDP with 100s of millions
which you will not do, so do
not think they can ever do anything to favor you, they will
not, better move to another
party, in the end the federal
government will regret
allowing Umahi faction to
control everything in Ebonyi PDP. I will also advise Elechi to
be a man, stop allowing anyone
to chase you around like a rat in
a state you lead. What is going
on now will give people an idea
the kind of violence this other faction will bring to the state if
allowed to take over.

Thugs invade Ebonyi courts,
molest judges and workers
Youths suspected to be political
thugs on Friday in Abakaliki
invaded Ebonyi Court complex
and disrupted proceedings in the various courts. According to
the News Agency of Nigeria
(NAN), about 1,500 hoodlums
besieged the court premises
and attacked judges and other
judicial workers.Witnesses said that the thugs invaded the
judiciary at about 9 a.m.
