There isn't any denial that the verses you quoted are from the Quran. But the truth is understanding in what context the verse is being used is what is critical. The Quran was revealed in stages over a period of years. Different events took place which warranted God revealing 'verses' which may seem violent to the ears.
The Quran isn't the only book with violent verses. Even the Bible contain violent verses. But let's not deviate into that.
The situation and negative media that Islam is facing of recent does not equate is as being an evil religion.
There are so many good muslims in Nigeria and all over the world but the bad eggs are always the ones to be noticed.
Religious tolerance is what we need in this nation. If God wanted to make every one muslim it is easy for him.
There are different things happening all over the world. The killings, oppression, massacre etc happening in Islamic nations. This doesn't mean that God is against the muslims neither does it mean that Islam is a violent religion. But the conclusion I can draw from it is that muslims are undergoing a trying moment and disobedience coupled with sins which our hands hath set forth could be the reason.
May God forgive us all and cleanse our land from all violence.

i am not a moslem but i have many peace loving moslem friends who condem in strong terms the BHARAMS activity.like u rigtly said my brother..may almighty help us, to repent from our diso bedience in nigeria .may God help us all.

No religion preaches terrorism.
We have to come together as a whole nation to condemn this evil acts.
Criticising Islam wouldn't solve any problem.
True muslims are affected directly/indirectly aswell as these evil men (terrorists) don't consider the tribe or religion before carrying out their evil motives.
We have to stand as one nation apply the 'operation-know-your-neighbour' rule cause it's an open enemy that is easy to fight. But the one we don't know would prove tasking to eradicate.
We seem to forget there is someone called 'Satan' and not everyone who claims to be fighting for God Truely is doing that, God is Love(Al-Wadud) and the giver of peace(As-Salam). Satan wants to frustrate muslims into hiding their identity because of the evils of these evil man and his group.
Everyman was bestowed with a thinking faculty (brain), it is how we use it that matters.
