EducationRe: What Is The Meaning Of 'Deja Vu'? by Eurphoria(f): 4:49pm On Aug 23, 2006
Girly did not ask for a long or short meaning of the word. Basically your explanation to someone who does not know what Deja vu is or the feeling, would not know what you are talking about. I felt the explanation i found would help her get a full meaning of this word. Ever heard of Deep and surface learning? (if u are in university or have been you will know what this means)

I dont appreciate your comment, you are free to give your explanation of the word the poster enquired about, you just dont go about dismissing others when all you have done is scratched the surface and in effect sounded like a parrot.

Sorry maybe i should have waited till you came on the thread to give ur meaning, i think you a bit peeved that someone got here before you. i see you come here telling grown men and women about life, when you have hardly stared life urself luv, On my worst day you can not out smart me love.

I am out sorry girly didnt mean to upset ur thread just like to speak my mind when ppl with the attention of a goldfish try to appear smart.
Nairaland GeneralRe: My Personality Check: Please Bite Softly. by Eurphoria(f): 12:35am On Aug 23, 2006
Hi snazzydawn

well i applaud you for this exercise, however some ppl here would not appreciate what you are trying to acheive and you may get ur haters just comin here to upset you. What ever anyone says, take it on the chin . Like you say, you are embarking on self change and i really like that. To me this is a sign of an intelligent, beautiful woman , one with her with her head screwed on .

My opinion from how i perceive your posts is that, you are one who has had a few knocks, you are into girlie things and you seem to be driven to succeed in life. Sucesss does not change a person's personality but it is how you handle success that shows what you are truely made of. I think you may appear to many to want attention, but i don't think this is delibrate or for the wrong reasons, i think its the exhibitionist in you and your artistic flair showing thru(i am sure u have had experiences of this, just dont let others put u off). Others will be put off by this not because you are a bad person but because they have their own insecurities.

Any way i am not hitting on you grin i am just one of those weird girls who is comfortable enough to say to another girl that she is beautiful and doing good. I also feel whatever you put ur mind to u will acheive, this is another thing that comes thru when i read yur posts and i wont be surprised to see you really making waves in the future.

Goodluck in whatever you do in life. wink

Girly smiley

The term déjà vu (French: "already seen", also called paramnesia) describes the experience of feeling that one has witnessed or experienced a new situation previously. The term was created by a French psychic researcher, Émile Boirac (1851–1917) in his book L'Avenir des sciences psychiques (The Future of Psychic Sciences), which expanded upon an essay he wrote while an undergraduate French concentrator at the University of Chicago. The experience of déjà vu is usually accompanied by a compelling sense of familiarity, and also a sense of "eerieness," "strangeness," or "weirdness." The "previous" experience is most frequently attributed to a dream, although in some cases there is a firm sense that the experience "genuinely happened" in the past.
The experience of déjà vu seems to be very common; in formal studies 70% or more of the population report having experienced it at least once.
TV/MoviesRe: Portrayal Of Kissing And Lovemaking In Nollywood Movies by Eurphoria(f): 1:08pm On Aug 22, 2006
Lmao

yes the love scenes are appalling, terrible, need plenty of wok, not just that the actors themselves need work, infact i  blame the directors. Anyway we know Nigerians like to pretend that they are modest and respectable(rolls eyes) by nothaving full on snugs   on screen for fear of people labeling them as prostitutes, but come on, there are ways of making the scenes look real. i saw one once and they were trying to fool us they were actually deeply kisssing and i looked like the two stars were having a neck wrestling championship.
I saw another where the guy had his back to the camera and then acted like they were kissing and the camera man must have been on ectascy or something, because he swung his shot to her face and she was actually having a little giggle. Now the director and editors must have been on crack to actually give that scene the green light and unleashed this bad lovescene on us.

Anyway i think its part of the reasons people love nollywood, its cringe worthy and would definitely work as an ice breaker in any room. cheesy
RomanceRe: When A Man Doesn't Want Commitment In A Relationship by Eurphoria(f): 1:44am On Aug 22, 2006
OLUNIFEMI
well sorry firstly about your experience. However i am going to flip the coin here, when i read your post i immediately thot of myself in the guys place. I am so scared of committing, i have had one proposal after a longish relationship and i totally freaked out. In my case, i just didnt love him enough to want to settle down with him, but i did not mind goin out with him so much , just the thot of marriage feaked me out. Maybe it was a case of wrong guy , wrong time, who knows but yes i agree with Desiree, dont waste ur time i would have said the same to my ex as i am saying to you if he had insisted on staying in the relationship, if both ppl want different things that is.

I wont say the guy was necessarily leading you on, atleast he didnt come out and say '' ok we'' marry soon, or a few years time'' like some ppl do. That is just cruel when you know in ur heart of hearts you won't settle down with them.

When a woman or man becomes distant from the partner after talks of more committment or marriage, then they too scared to tell you wats really going on and you should brave it and leave the relationship.

Like some one said, its not always about sex, sometimes you can care greatly or love some one but not want to commit further for other reasons. Fuk we all got too much crap to deal with sometimes and its not always about ''ME,me me''

I don't think the original author of this thread meant to deflame anybody's character. This is a discussion forum meaning that any topic under the sun is up for discussion. Moreover,he didnt make direct allegations he was just asking general questions based on what he heard about Paddy's character.Do you know is he is planning to work with glo and wants to find out what the working environment is like? You people need to think outside the box sometimes.
Just as the poster is sort of free to make As many allegations he wishes  under the sun, so are people entittled  to tell him/her that he/she is talking out of their  CAKE-HOLE.

yOU SAY THIS PERSON MAY JUST BE ON A FACT FINDING MISSION AND MAYBE WANTS TO work at Glo and so here to find out what the environment might be like. Puleezzzzzzzzz    are you for real?  this is truly laughable( think about your statement long and harm, i reserve more comments) huh

GET A GRIP LADY

My questions remains, after Paddy's attitude good or bad has been established, DO WE HOLD CRISIS TALKS AT THE HAGUE? hUH?  again i say get a grip, while you are here discussion who has the right to smear or not the guy is living his life and could not give a fuk about what you or I think so , my point is I DONT REALLY CARE
