B.ed is not a course of study but its a training . For example in our Lagos most of the persons who have undergone B.ed are now employed and are teaching all of the B.Ed finisher are employed. If u pursue B.ed. it will nt help u rather would induce in u a feeling of fear in the sense of getting job due to degree limit (Which some of my b.ed mates were facing ).)As a Bsc(ed), you are trained majorly for teaching or lecturing and not for industry. Instead of IT, you do teaching practice, and your project is in Education and not even in your other major course.

IMO, In Nigeria, its better to have Bsc than Bsc(ed) especially if you want to have a great chance of working in the industry.

in summary, its easier for one with BSc to become a lecturer than Bsc(ed) to work in industry.
finally,There is hardly anything that BSC (Social Sciences) degree can get you that B.ED cannot get you, whether in academics or industry. The most important thing is having a good grade, which you already DONT U ARE IN FOR A GREAT SUPRISE.

If not for the unemployment situation in the country, a B.sc graduate has no business teaching what he himself does not study. You can't give what you don't have nau.


Why do you think big schools would attach a degree in education as one of their foremost requirement? Who wants to employ teachers only to start teaching them how to teach? How to dress? How to copy lesson note? How to manage their class? How to relate with students? Or the ethics of this noble profession. On top wetin?


Education took a nosedive in this country when every Dick, Tom & Harry started venturing into teaching. Little wonder you'll hear graduates saying they can teach 4-5 subjects.

Shebi you don't know that Bsc. graduates ain't trained to teach abi? They might be knowledgeable which I'm not disputing. But when it comes to teaching, please, a B.ed graduate is naturally better off.


Teaching is methodical, it's not about how much you know but how well you can impact your pupils. Besides, a B.sc graduate would need to be given the necessary training before he/she can deliver; how to copy lesson note, classroom management, teaching methodology amongst others.

In case you don't know, the moment a platform loses it's relevance that would be the end of it. Ever wondered why no job seeker takes Jobberman seriously? It's because it was invaded by those GNLD criminals, hence, no serious employer or employee visits it any longer.
