Britsh prime minister, David Cameron today vowed to ‘export’ gay marriage around the world as he held a party to celebrate the passage of legislation in Britain.

The Prime Minister told a gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender reception in Downing Street of his personal pride at legalising gay marriage.


Mr Cameron told guests at the same reception one year on that Britain was now “the best place to be gay, lesbian or transgender anywhere in Europe”.

He added, “that is a great achievement. That’s not my measure; that is an internationally recognised measure. But there’s still a lot more work to be done.”

Thanking the ministers and civil servants who helped to pass the legislation into law despite objections from the Tory Right, he said, "It’s been a real pleasure to work with you and to deliver this landmark social change for our country, which to me still comes back to the simple word of commitment.”

He added that he wanted to "export" same sex marriage around the world so other countries could follow suit.

But he risked controversy by suggesting that his ministers should now fan out across the globe to spread gay marriage around the world.

‘I’m personally proud of this,’ he said. ‘I think it’s a really good step. I’ve told the Bill team I’m now going to reassign them because, of course, all over the world people would have been watching this and we’ve set something of an example of how to pass good legislation in good time.

‘Many countries are going to want to copy this. I talk about how we’ve got to export more, so I’m going to export the Bill team.

'I think they can take it around the world.’


Mr Cameron signalled that he wants to go further in pressing gay rights. He told the gathering: ‘There’s still a lot more work to be done.

Just as I thought the government will exterminate the boko haram group and bring them to extinction, the government came up with the cease fire pact. In US, they do not negotiate with terrorists, Nigerian gov should take a leaf out of their book.

The Nigerian Police has abolished the recruitment, use and secondment of Spy Police since 1989 and has either staffed or retrenched all Spies in their pool. But these corporate giants, including some banks etc, have illegally connived with some unscrupulous elements in NPF, and created their own Police Force against the Police act and the Constitution. Our prayer is that the court should declare that we are not police but staffs of the corporate bodies that actually advertised, screened, tested, interviewed and employed us. Thanks Omoswags and all nairalanders. I really need these prayers. Come July 12th the Supreme Court is to pass judgement in an 8 years old case between my colleagues and I vs our employer( an oil giant). Winning this case can change lives for better.

Thanks men for your contributions. I tried all the above and rescaned the decoder severally to no avail. I still called dstv today and voiced my frustration. They decided to reset my smartcard on their system and then asked me to rescan the decoder, and that did the majic. All the channnel line up appears and work. I thank the house.

Tv 2 of my dual view decoder won't display channel line up anymore. Called dstv twice but their directve to rescan the decoder didn't solve the problem. Tv 1 is ok but tv 2 only displays some obscure channels denoted by letters and numbers that don't show anyway.Pls help.
