The Secretary to Borno State Government, Amb. Baba Jidda, has raised the alarm over the activities of the members of Boko Haram sect in the state. He said most parts of the state are now being occupied by the members of the dreaded sect. He said because of this, the state and its people should be silent on any discussion concerning 2015 elections for now. Apart from this, he said politicians across political divide in the country should also de-emphasize discussions on 2015 in the state or anywhere in the country in the face of rampaging onslaught by the Boko Haram insurgents. Jidda, who stated this while addressing a press conference in Abuja on Sunday, regretted that normal governmental, economic, social and political activities have been dislocated in his state. Boko Haram He also said huge numbers of displaced persons are now living in refugee camps in Maiduguri, neighbouring states as well as Niger, Chad and Cameroon. Jidda regretted that in spite of the security challenge facing the state, the Independent National Electoral Commission has fixed October 3 for a bye-election for Jere LG House of Assembly Constituency in the state. In his prepared speech titled, “Imperatives of Peace before Politicking,’’ he appealed to all well-meaning sons and daughters of the state to jettison politicking for now for the sake of the continued existence of Nigeria and survival of democracy. He said it would be callous for anyone to be scheming for any political office in the state in the precarious security situation in the state. He said, “At this very moment, most parts of Borno State are being occupied by Boko Haram insurgents. Government presence and administration is minimal or non-existent across many parts of the state, with economic, commercial and social services totally subdued. Schools and clinics remain closed. “Most settlements in the affected areas in the state have either been deserted or access to them practically impossible, thus majority of the political stakeholders cannot, in real fact reach their constituencies. ‘’So, the threat of insecurity affects everybody irrespective of political differences. The enabling environment for politics and electioneering campaign is simply not obtainable at present in Borno State. In the view of many, the thought about politics and pursuit of political interest in this environment appears absurd, callous and morally repulsive.’’ The SSG called for a stakeholders summit of eminent citizens of North-east zone, irrespective of ethnic , political and religious affiliations, to articulate a broad-based solutions to the threat posed by the insurgents. http://www.nigerianeye.com/2014/09/most-parts-of-borno-now-occupied |
For nearly thirty years, he was only a legend in small towns – a ghost that slunk into homes at night and surviving on whatever food he could steal without being noticed by scared residents. Such a phantom couldn’t possibly live in the nearby forest. Well, that phantom was finally arrested for stealing last year, and he’s being called the last true hermit. When he was captured, the hermit was out for a late night raid at the Pine Trees Summer Camp near North Pond in central Maine. While searching through the kitchen for food, he unknowingly set off an alarm that led to his arrest at the hands of Sergeant Terry Hughes, a warden that had become obsessed with capturing the man, known as the North Pond Hermit in the surrounding community. Hughes, with the help of some Maine state police, apprehended the burglar and asked him his name. He didn’t say a word, and he had no identification on him. He admitted to the state trooper, Diane Perkins-Vance, saying in a broken voice that he was ashamed to ask questions. His name, the trooper learned, was Christopher Thomas Knight. He was born in 1965, had no address, and had no vehicle. He lived in the woods, alone. He had gone to live in the woods when he was only 20 years old — now, he was 47. His way of life is truly remarkable. He never lit a fire, as he was afraid of being detected, and moved only at night, sleeping in a tent during the day. When he was captured, he had no idea if his parents were alive, and had lived without money, car, and phone — he’d never even heard anything of the internet. He admitted to committing about 40 break-ins a year to keep himself well-fed. Before that night — April 4 of last year — Knight had only said one word to another human being in the last 27 years. He said “hi” to a passing hiker. The man had long been a legend in the nearby town of North Pond, where residents had suffered break-ins for so long. But most claim they didn’t really believe that such a thing could be true — after all, what man could survive in the woods through the freezing cold of a Northeast winter? Knight, somehow, managed it. Unfortunately, he didn’t keep a journal or snap any photos to document his long time alone. He had pledged, after all, to live his entire life in secret after he went to the forest as a young man, just out of high school. While, many have tried to contact him since to hear his story, he hasn’t been saying much. A writer over at GQ managed to get a short response letter from Knight, staying in prison, the two of them bonding over a shared love of literature — Knight had stolen many books during his time in the woods. They exchanged more and more letters, Knight offering his regrets on a life of crime and reflections on the differences between the two ways of life he had led. One fascinating, surprisingly literate, tidbit: Solitude did increase my perception. But here’s the tricky thing—when I applied my increased perception to myself, I lost my identity. With no audience, no one to perform for, I was just there. There was no need to define myself; I became irrelevant. The moon was the minute hand, the seasons the hour hand. I didn’t even have a name. I never felt lonely. To put it romantically: I was completely free. http://firsttoknow.com/north-pond-hermit/ |
A usually overloaded Ibanise boat capsizes and sank this morning on its way from Bonny to Port Harcourt. The boat sailed out this morning loaded with 35 passengers including women and children. I am at the beach and so far only 9 survivors have been rescued. The Ibanise boat is a covered double engine speed boat owned and operated by community is subsidized. The safety record along the ever busy Bonny-PHC waterway is poor. |
Authorities of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Niger State, northcentral Nigeria, have thrown 281 fake corps members out of the orientation camp. Mr. Steven Ehoda-adi, the state’s coordinator of NYSC, disclosed this Tuesday while speaking to journalists shortly after the closing ceremony of the 2014 Batch B orientation exercise in Paiko. He said the 281 fake corps members identified at the state orientation camp were sent out of the camp after they failed to present their call-up letters. Ehoda-adi said those affected had nothing to show as having qualified for admission into the camp. According to him, some of them said they lost their letters when they were attacked by armed robbers on their way to Minna, others claimed to have misplaced them, while some presented photocopies of the letters which he said was not acceptable. Only 3,259 batch B corps members on Tuesday successfully completed their three weeks orientation in the state. Also, another 230 corps members comprising pregnant and nursing mothers were disallowed from taking part in the normal routine during the three weeks orientation exercise. Declaring the orientation camp closed, Governor Mua’zu Babangida Aliyu of Niger State said despite the insecurity in the country occasioned by the activities of the Boko Haram, the unity of the country was not negotiable. He said though insurgency was threatening the relative peace in some parts of the country, the activities of the Boko Haram sects would soon be brought to an end www.nigerianeye.com |
Readers of the prominent Israeli news site Mako have overwhelmingly voted in favor of sending President Barack Obama an envelope containing the Ebola virus for his birthday. The site, which belongs to the Channel 2 company “Keshet” (the most widely watched broadcasting network in Israel), posted a survey in August 2014asking readers what they would like to give the president for his 53rd birthday. The options were as follows: A) Peace in the Middle East (22%) B) Golf clubs (11%) C) A box set of Israeli television series Prisoners of War (9%) D) A remix by Noi Alush (local video artist) of Netanyahu's now-famous “Don't ever second guess me again” line (10%) E) An envelope with the Ebola virus (48%) The results did not cause Mako to reconsider the list of options, or remove the survey. It was only a month after that Mako declared it would enact a new policy of filtering hate speech in its comments section. Here is a list of 15 things which, if you give up on them, will make your life a lot easier and much, much happier. We hold on to so many things that cause us a great deal of pain, stress and suffering – and instead of letting them all go, instead of allowing ourselves to be stress free and happy – we cling on to them. Not anymore. Starting today we will give up on all those things that no longer serve us, and we will embrace change. Ready? Here we go: 1. GIVE UP YOUR NEED TO ALWAYS BE RIGHT There are so many of us who can’t stand the idea of being wrong – wanting to always be right – even at the risk of ending great relationships or causing a great deal of stress and pain, for us and for others. It’s just not worth it. Whenever you feel the ‘urgent’ need to jump into a fight over who is right and who is wrong, ask yourself this question: “Would I rather be right, or would I rather be kind?” Wayne Dyer. What difference will that make? Is your ego really that big? 2. GIVE UP YOUR NEED FOR CONTROL Be willing to give up your need to always control everything that happens to you and around you – situations, events, people, etc. Whether they are loved ones, coworkers, or just strangers you meet on the street – just allow them to be. Allow everything and everyone to be just as they are and you will see how much better will that make you feel. “By letting it go it all gets done. The world is won by those who let it go. But when you try and try. The world is beyond winning.” Lao Tzu 3. GIVE UP ON BLAME Give up on your need to blame others for what you have or don’t have, for what you feel or don’t feel. Stop giving your powers away and start taking responsibility for your life. 4. GIVE UP YOUR SELF-DEFEATING SELF-TALK Oh my. How many people are hurting themselves because of their negative, polluted and repetitive self-defeating mindset? Don’t believe everything that your mind is telling you – especially if it’s negative and self-defeating. You are better than that. “The mind is a superb instrument if used rightly. Used wrongly, however, it becomes very destructive.” Eckhart Tolle 5. GIVE UP YOUR LIMITING BELIEFS about what you can or cannot do, about what is possible or impossible. From now on, you are no longer going to allow your limiting beliefs to keep you stuck in the wrong place. Spread your wings and fly! “A belief is not an idea held by the mind, it is an idea that holds the mind” Elly Roselle 6. GIVE UP COMPLAINING Give up your constant need to complain about those many, many, maaany things – people, situations, events that make you unhappy, sad and depressed. Nobody can make you unhappy, no situation can make you sad or miserable unless you allow it to. It’s not the situation that triggers those feelings in you, but how you choose to look at it. Never underestimate the power of positive thinking. 7. GIVE UP THE LUXURY OF CRITICISM Give up your need to criticize things, events or people that are different than you. We are all different, yet we are all the same. We all want to be happy, we all want to love and be loved and we all want to be understood. We all want something, and something is wished by us all. 8. GIVE UP YOUR NEED TO IMPRESS OTHERS Stop trying so hard to be something that you’re not just to make others like you. It doesn’t work this way. The moment you stop trying so hard to be something that you’re not, the moment you take off all your masks, the moment you accept and embrace the real you, you will find people will be drawn to you, effortlessly. 9. GIVE UP YOUR RESISTANCE TO CHANGE Change is good. Change will help you move from A to B. Change will help you make improvements in your life and also the lives of those around you. Follow your bliss, embrace change – don’t resist it.“Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors for you where there were only walls” Joseph Campbell 10. GIVE UP LABELS Stop labeling those things, people or events that you don’t understand as being weird or different and try opening your mind, little by little. Minds only work when open. “The highest form of ignorance is when you reject something you don’t know anything about.” Wayne Dyer 11. GIVE UP ON YOUR FEARS Fear is just an illusion, it doesn’t exist – you created it. It’s all in your mind. Correct the inside and the outside will fall into place.“The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself.” Franklin D. Roosevelt 12. GIVE UP YOUR EXCUSES Send them packing and tell them they’re fired. You no longer need them. A lot of times we limit ourselves because of the many excuses we use. Instead of growing and working on improving ourselves and our lives, we get stuck, lying to ourselves, using all kind of excuses – excuses that 99.9% of the time are not even real. 13. GIVE UP THE PAST I know, I know. It’s hard. Especially when the past looks so much better than the present and the future looks so frightening, but you have to take into consideration the fact that the present moment is all you have and all you will ever have. The past you are now longing for – the past that you are now dreaming about – was ignored by you when it was present. Stop deluding yourself. Be present in everything you do and enjoy life. After all life is a journey not a destination. Have a clear vision for the future, prepare yourself, but always be present in the now. 14. GIVE UP ATTACHMENT This is a concept that, for most of us is so hard to grasp and I have to tell you that it was for me too, (it still is) but it’s not something impossible. You get better and better at with time and practice. The moment you detach yourself from all things, (and that doesn’t mean you give up your love for them – because love and attachment have nothing to do with one another, attachment comes from a place of fear, while love… well, real love is pure, kind, and self less, where there is love there can’t be fear, and because of that, attachment and love cannot coexist) you become so peaceful, so tolerant, so kind, and so serene. You will get to a place where you will be able to understand all things without even trying. A state beyond words. 15. GIVE UP LIVING YOUR LIFE TO OTHER PEOPLE’S EXPECTATIONS Way too many people are living a life that is not theirs to live. They live their lives according to what others think is best for them, they live their lives according to what their parents think is best for them, to what their friends, their enemies and their teachers, their government and the media think is best for them. They ignore their inner voice, that inner calling. They are so busy with pleasing everybody, with living up to other people’s expectations, that they lose control over their lives. They forget what makes them happy, what they want, what they need….and eventually they forget about themselves. You have one life – this one right now – you must live it, own it, and especially don’t let other people’s opinions distract you from your path www.worldobserveronline.com-15-things-you-should-give-up-to-be-happy-3/ |
With the ubiquity and easy access of porn these days, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that people are beginning to study the effects of it on our sex lives. According to a website called projectknow.com, 420 million web pages are dedicated to porn, meaning the non-porn Internet roughly consists of..well, Wikipedia. Scientists at Cambridge University recently studied the brain scans of porn addicts and found that they looked exactly like those of drug addicts. With such an inexhaustible supply of porn at our disposal, there is a growing concern that it is beginning to effect our brains, our relationships, and even our bodies (beyond, of course, your mother’s idle threats of blindness and hairy palms). A recent survey of a Reddit community called NoFap, which is committed to abstaining from porn and masturbation, has helped researchers open the door to a better understanding of the effects of pornography on our lives. While none of the results are conclusive, there are certainly some statistics that should give a moment’s pause. Here are some of the highlights of why it may be a good idea to stick to Netflix next time you open up your laptop: 1. For those addicted to porn, arousal actually declined with the same mate, while those who regularly found different mates were able to continual their arousal. It’s known as the Coolidge Effect, or novelty-seeking behavior. Porn, after all, trains the viewer to expect constant newness. 2. One in five people who regularly watch porn admitted to feeling controlled by their own sexual desires. 3. 12 percent of NoFappers report watching 5 or more hours of Internet porn every week. 59 percent report watching between 4 and 15(!!) hours of porn every week. 4. Almost 50 percent of those on NoFap have never had sex in their lives, meaning their only experience with intimacy is purely digital. 5. 42 percent of male college students report visiting porn sites regularly. 6. 53 percent of the NoFappers developed a regular porn habit between the ages of 12 and 14. An alarming 16 percent said they started watching before they were 12. 7. 64 percent report that their tastes in porn have become more extreme or deviant. 8. Among 27-31 year olds on NoFap: 19 percent suffer from premature ejaculation, 25 percent are disinterested in sex with their partner, 31 percent have difficulty reaching orgasm, and 34 percent experience erectile dysfunction. 9. After committing to no masturbation/porn, 60 percent of those on NoFap felt that their sexual functions had improved. 10. And 67 percent had an increase in energy levels as well as productivity. So there it is men. While the evidence may not be scientifically thorough, there’s certainly enough to suggest that porn has a negative impact on our lives. It might be a good time to give that overworked hand some rest, or, at the very least, use it to dial the phone number of a real live human woman and ask her out on a date www.worldobserveronline.com/2013/11/22/10-reasons-quit-watching-porn/ |
Renegade147: . So Israel is now a terror state. What's the problem with all this muslims sef, hamas messed up with israel nd dey got spanked. If Israel is now a terror state, what is the ISIS movement of Iraq going to be called, defender of the islam faith i guess. Muslims are the problem of this world. There is virtually no single problem in the Muslim/Arab world that is not caused by Christians and their Jewish masters. From slave trade to the middle passage massacres and drowning of millions of Africans, from the annihilation of nearly a million native American Indians, from the genocide and murder of hundreds of thousands native Australian Pygmies, from the Nazi genocide of the 1940s, from the murder of hundreds of thousands as a result of atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, from the genocide committed during the Korean wars, from the invasion of Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, from the genocide in palestine to the so called war on terror history has shown that Christians are the most violent peopleon earth. Their violence has robbed this this earth of over a hundred million people. The ISIS you mentioned came as a result of the destabilization of Iraq and now Syria by the same westerners who equally enslaved your grand parents and colonized your land. Israel is not only a terror state but a rogue and an illegitimate entity established on a stolen land that has single handedly disobeyed and disreregarded more international laws and United Nations resolutions than than all other countries of the world put together. No past Israeli leader that has never been convicted of a crime by an Israeli court. These idiots are even proud that they killed Jesus. The entire world went to war to save these guys from Hitler but the genocide in Gaza has proved Hitler as a merciful killer. The right for self determination is enshrined in the UN charter. Gaza is a refugee camp populated by people whose villages were destroyed by the criminal and border less state of Israel and they have been under blockade for years. Tens of thousands of Palestinian youths are languishing in Israeli jails without trial for decades. They have been barred from travelling for studies or medical purposes and those who went out are banned from coming back. All their infrastructure has been destroyed. So what more reasons does one need to see that Palestinians are marked for extermination. |
deeobserver209: When Israel engaged Hamas about two years ago Hamas where like, yes we're re winning the war. Soon after the conflict Hamas suffered thousands of casualties and Israel lost 23 people. Even after the conflict Hamas believed they won the war.Hamas are not terrorists but victims of a terror state called Israel. The world now has many alternative news sources to judge for ourself who is actually the oppressor and the oppressed. |

Cityofdavid: Dear Allah, it's me David. I perceive you may not know me too well but I have heard so much about you from my Muslim friends. Some of the reasons I feel you may not know me include: first, I am not a Muslim. Therefore, naturally, I'm guilty of not observing some of the main pillars of Islam especially the ones that are alien to my inherited faith - Christianity. The answers to all your questions and more have already been answered by Allah. Refer to the Quran and count out whatever is not written there. In it you'll find salvation and the fact that Allah, Jehovah, Yahweh or God is one- as only Him is worthy of being worshipped. |

The Bible is a unique book, as there hasn't been a book like this ever written before. Written over a period of 1500 years, it has been written over 40 generations by over 40 authors, from different walks of life like poets, fishermen, kings, shepherds, peasants and scholars, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. This shows how God does not call the equipped, but equips the called. This shows that the bible is just a history book. |
Donmams: The presidency yesterday openly challenged the supporters of President Goodluck Jonathan all over the country and in the diaspora to use social media platforms to discuss President Goodluck Jonathan’s achievements, ahead of the 2015 general elections. The GEJ social media lot have constituted themselves into a nuisance as they are achieving the direct opposite of what they aim to achieve. They only know how to hurl insults and abuses on any voice of dissent. Logical argument on topics is not in their dictionary as most of them are half baked graduates and I'll informed psychopaths. |

Our very own Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka, may not be a Christian, but in 1972 he made a statement that resonates with the heart of Christianity. He says: “The man dies in all who keep silent in the face of tyranny.” This statement is in congruence with the second commandment which requires Christians to love our neighbour as ourselves. We are witnessing today a tyranny that has gone on for far too long: the oppression of the Palestinian people and their massacre by a wicked and evil Israeli government that has come to believe “might is right.” Before our very eyes on our television screens, computers and cell-phone, we are witnesses to the callous bombing of defenseless Palestinian men, women and children by an unscrupulous Israeli army. It is past time for Christians to stop silently supporting the Israelis because of outdated biblical norms, and to come out in support of our Palestinian brothers and sisters. Holocaust betrayal It is a big indictment on Israel that a people who were subjected in the past to so much oppression and brutality; with six million of its people massacred in the German Holocaust; is now the one responsible for so much pain and anguish in others. By this reversal, Israel has become an enemy of our common humanity. Christians can no longer in good conscience keep silent as Israel continues in its oppression of God’s people, and in this senseless massacre of the innocent in Gaza. For over 60 years, Palestinians have lived in abject poverty in refugee camps. The Israelis have instituted an apartheid system where their human rights are violated and their homes systematically demolished to make more room for Israeli settlements. With the active collusion of the Egyptians, the Israelis have maintained the largest prison in the world in Gaza since 2007. 1.8 million Palestinians are locked in this cell, blockaded by land, sea and air. They are confined in abject poverty; denied basic human necessities. Their movement is restricted. Their economy is stunted. Their fishermen cannot even fish in their own waters. This is the underlying cause of the current conflict. The Palestinians are frustrated but helpless. In exasperation, they fire home-made rockets into Israel from Gaza, in a pathetic attempt to signify their displeasure and perhaps orchestrate a break free from their gulag. Occasionally they hit some target and even harm or kill somebody. In retaliation, the Israelis respond disproportionately with surface-to-air missiles and laser-guided smart bombs. While the Israelis rely on the protection of the sophisticated Iron Dome defense-shield sold to them by the Americans, the Palestinians have nothing but the human-shield of their own civilian population. This is routinely disregarded by the Israelis who have little or no qualms about killing the defenseless. Disproportionate responses The Israelis insist their disproportionate responses are designed to teach the Palestinians a lesson, and to make them think twice before firing new rockets into Israel. However, the peace they seek to enforce is illusory, especially since their idea of peace would still retain the Palestinians in jail with the Israelis and the Egyptians as their jailers. The current conflict arose over the abduction and murder of three Israeli teenagers. In retaliation, the Israelis have massacred Palestinians. According to reports, many of those killed are children. When they are not maimed or killed by made-in-America bombs, they are ravaged by malnutrition and lack of medicine. As a result, a voice is heard this time in Gaza. It is another Rachel weeping for her children, and refusing to be comforted because they are no more. The average age of those living in Gaza is 17 years. More than half of them are under 16. This civilian population is defenseless, densely packed into this besieged enclave with no place to run or take refuge from Israel’s indiscriminate military onslaught. The Palestinians have become sitting ducks to Israeli military might, with no place to hide. This is outrageous. The implication here is that the lives of Palestinians are not important. By a jaundiced Israeli calculus, the life of one Israeli is equal to those of hundreds of Palestinians. That is why in avenging the mysterious death of three Israelis, thousands of Palestinians are now dead. But by a cruel hand of fate, the Israelis themselves have sustained scores of losses. Targeting schools The Israelis have bombed the most incongruous of neighbourhoods. Locations like hospitals, clinics, refugee-camps, mosques and churches, which are normally off limits to warring factions, have become fair game for them. Even ambulances and medical-workers have not been spared. Israeli forces shelled an open market in the Shujaiya neighborhood of eastern Gaza City. This became the site of a grisly massacre. Worse still are the Israeli attacks on schools. They bombed a United Nations school in the city of Jabalia in northern Gaza, killing many innocent Palestinians. Over 3,000 displaced persons were taking refuge there. Little did they know they were facing an enemy that would make even schools its target. Inevitably, according to reports, some of the victims were children; killed as they slept beside their parents on classroom floors. In spite of the international outcry that followed this atrocity, the Israelis went head to bomb yet another U.N. run school in Southern Gaza. As far as the Israelis are concerned, the Palestinians have no rights. Their children are not human-beings. Crime against humanity Clearly, the Israelis are bent on destruction in Gaza. They have bombed the only power-plant in this sliver of a territory, plunging the entire place into darkness. As a result, even the injured cannot receive proper care in the strained and over-burdened clinics and hospitals. Mobile-phone networks were damaged or destroyed, ensuring that Gaza is effectively cut off from the outside world. Internal communication is also virtually non-existent. This siege on Gaza has gone on for the better part of a month, bringing untold hardship and suffering to the Palestinians. Nearly 2,000 Palestinians, have been killed so far, many of them women and children. Over 10,000 others have been injured. According to the United Nations, over 240,000 Palestinians have since been displaced. U.N. Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon called Israeli action in Gaza “a moral outrage and a criminal act.” Pierre Krahenbuhl, a U.N. Commissioner, observed that Israel’s brutality is “an affront to all of us, a source of universal shame.” UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navi Pillay, declared the Israeli offensive “a deliberate defiance of international law.” The UN Human Rights Council passed a resolution calling for an independent probe into Israel’s war crimes in Gaza. Impetus for terrorism Israeli heavy-handedness is a major headache for international peace and security. Israeli atrocities in the Middle East are fueling the Boko Haram and other incidences of world-wide terrorism counterfeited in the name of Islam. As long as the Palestinians continue to be denied of fundamental human rights and of their homeland, there can be no peace in the Middle East and beyond. The United States pretends to be an honest-broker in the conflict, but in fact is now a hostage to the Israeli cause. Israel flouts American pressure, confident it can always rely on the Jewish lobby in the United States to keep American governments firmly tethered to Israeli apron-strings. The Americans give Israel sophisticated weapons which are tested and used on hapless Palestinians. How then can they faithfully broker peace? Christian response In the context of this slaughter, Christians cannot continue to be silent. Christians must wake up from the slumber of knee-jerk support of Israel. Gone are the days when the enemies of the people of Israel were all expendable in the pages of the bible. Palestinians must not be confused for Amalekites or Jebusites that can be exterminated as a result of so-called divine ordinances. They deserve to have a place to call their own. God is the God of all flesh; he is not just the God of Israel. We must stop subscribing to the Zionist Jewish propaganda that the Jews are God’s chosen people. God is not a respecter of persons and he is not a respecter of peoples. The God who created the heavens and the earth is also the God of the Palestinians. Therefore, Christians everywhere must all rise up and with one voice condemn the massacre of Palestinians that is going on even as we speak. The world is in a drought. It is rich in money, but short of mercy. There are more dollars outside the United States than in the United States. It is nigh impossible to mop up the funds. But while the world is awash with money, it is short of goodness. It is lacking in righteousness, truth and compassion. Thus, Isaiah laments: “Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands afar off; for truth is fallen in the street and equity cannot enter” (Isaiah 59:14). The Palestinians are in dire need of Christian compassion. The Israelis are in dire need of the righteousness of God. The people of this world need the truth. Since God birthed his children for his glory, it is our responsibility as those Christians who are truly children of God to provide what the world lacks. Our task is to salt the earth. We salt it with the riches of the kingdom of God. We are called to be merciful, compassionate, holy, righteous, truthful, honest, faithful, and just. The Abrahamic covenant does not exclude the Palestinians. It includes them. Indeed, some Palestinians are Christians; but that is really irrelevant here. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict should not be seen simplistically as one between the Judeo-Christian tradition and Muslims. It must be seen properly as a conflict between the strong and the weak. It must be seen as conflict between the oppressor and the oppressed. In biblical days, the Israelites were the oppressed in Egypt, and God sent Moses with a message to Pharaoh to “Let My People Go.” Today, the roles have been reversed. The Israelis are the new Pharaohs. The Palestinians are those that must be set free. Christians the world over must lend our heart and our voice to Palestinian freedom. http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/nigerianeye/Android/~3/7VNMcNJg52A/why-christians-must-stop-supporting.html |

urhoboman: erhm!!! Look, whatever Asari says is towards 2015, there myt b an iota of truth in him, bt I doubt it. Hez oways supporting hez otueke brother. Accusing GMB of planning his death is something evrybdy wud expect him(Asari) to say. On the contrary, the GAY terrorist opinion I stated earlier is just my THOUGHT. I believe itz a decoy to turn both regions against each oda(North/South). ANYTHIGH for 2015# I stand to b corrected.@Urhoboman. Even the manufacturer of bullet proof cars won't agree to be bombed in one even for a test. The allegation is the handiwork of jonathanian mischief makers and foot soldiers who are trying to ward off any suspicion of their camp's involvement. |
nnekamezor: I do feel he staged -managed d whole bombing. They don't pluck bullet proof cars from trees and people are not born with it. The mere knowledge that one is using a bullet proof car alone has compromised the security in the car. You don't know nothing about Buhari. If Asari Dokubo knew this he would have used another method to assassinate the general. |
FILEBE: There was was a clip i watched on TVC about Buhari thanking GOD after the blast. He was dressed in plain white Agbada pacing and throwing hands in the ear for joy while some passersby were shouting his name. this clip was taken by someone via his mobile phone amd was really unstable. How many seconds did that video last? Buhari left the scene the moment a vehicle was made available by locals. Would he have disappeared like a spirit? |
The alleged mastermind of the attack just confessed that they were sponsored and paid by Asari Dokubo to kill Buhari. |
urhoboman: LIES# the said guy was paid by somebody to get himself arrested nd confessed Asari is behind it. #my thoughts though# am so tired of diz year 2014. Nairaland is nt helping, I come here b4 to av fun. Bt with d sad news diz days is gving me slples nyt. Nt forgeting EBOLA, any post or comments I see those words, my hrt go tear race leave me. GOD is diz hw am going to dieWhich one looks like a lie among these two: 1. The allegation by Asari Dokubo that Buhari planned his own assassination or 2. The confession by the alleged mastermind of the assassination attempt on Buhari's life that they were paid and sponsored by A sari Dokubo to kill Buhari? |
NewsRescue July 27, 2014 We received reports Yesterday that the clearly homosexual cross-dresser suspect arrested at the site of the bomb explosion on Maj. General Buhari’s life at Kawo market in Kaduna, has said that Asari Dokubo, the Niger Delta terrorizing leader paid N1 million each to five members of the assassination squad to kill the General last week. A clearly homosexual man dressed as a woman was arrested shortly after the attempt on Buhari’s life in the vicinity of the explosion; and was linked to the assassination attempt according to the DSS. A suicide bomber driving a Toyota Sienna chased and rammed into the General’s car and set off an explosion that injured three aides and killed over 80 at the market close by. However the reality of the story as is most obvious is that the homosexual cross-dresser suspect arrested likely had no connection to the Buhari bombing. Remember the suicide bomber chased the Buhari convoy for a considerable distance before getting close enough to detonate his bombs at the market. It is improbable and frankly impossible for the suicide bomber to have remained unscathed (1), been a cross-dresser homosexual (2) at the same time and been caught by the hopeless Nigerian security services at the scene of the crime (3). That is three impossibilities of equal weight. The suicide bomber was definitely blown to bits when the car exploded killing dozens in the vicinity; was not gay and was not successfully caught by our barely existent security men. The Nigerian security men simply picked up a cross-dresser queer individual and claimed this was the suspect and later that he was even the master-mind, to pretend some efficiency and wash-away the case. After beating the gajeezeez out of the cross-dresser, he is singing the songs that come to his mind — that ‘Asari Dokubo sponsored five of them with 1 million naira a piece them to kill ex-head of state, General Buhari.’ With the ‘rubbish’ being advertised in this investigation, the APC has described the handling of terror and insurgency in Nigeria as clearly beyond the capacity of the Jonathan government and called on an urgent international investigation of the assassination attempt. Quoting their statement: “Could the person who drove the vehicle that was rammed into the General’s convoy have survived the explosion that was triggered by that action? Could the innocent passers-by who died in the blast not have been arrested and paraded as the ‘suspected masterminds’ if they had survived the blast? Clearly, the arrest of the pervert and his sickening description as a ‘suspected mastermind’ have kick-started the process of muddling the waters, as is usually the case with such high-profile cases. “This is why an urgent international inquiry into the attack is desirable and imperative, and anyone who is committed to an impartial probe of the attack on the opposition leader should embrace our call www.newsrescue.com |
