Develpeast: The southerners and to a large extent should be grateful to the igbo tribe. They have tried in keeping the minorities safe in the north especially in Kano. They took them as their own people, that is why the hausa considers them ibo or in their own terms nyamiri. The elite might be able to differentiate the minorities of the south south from the igbos but the illiterates and the fanatics doesn't. A case in point was in 2012 when the ogoja people were been attacked around badawa axis of kano state, the ogojas and efiks had to run to sabon gari for succor. Why? the hausa cannot attack sabon gari anymore because the igbos have beefed security there for them.
Go to sabon gari today, everyone feel safe there because of the presence of the igbos in that area and how they shield others from attack. the other tribes do not know but igbos spend billions on weapons to be able to counter any attack from outsiders.
Can you any southerner stay in Jakara, sharrifai, kurumi, kumbotso, etc? these places are still in the capital but they cannot stay there.
You may want to hate on the igbos all you want but you have not pinpointed anywhere in history where the igbos have been in your wrong side but there has been times where igbos have always been in your receiving end. The igbos just carry the cross for the southerners.
If you are close to these northerners, you will know that they care less about what the avengers are doing in the south. they use the opportunity to increase fuel price in the north because they import it via niger republic at a cheaper rate but sell at a higher price. It is not what I was told but what i know.
If biafra knocks, I advise you to use the opportunity to fight for yourself because the south will be smaller and they might even use it against the south. a lower voice to shout marginalisation. This is what you would have said and not telling us that we are kids for protecting our image globally. Thanks 1 Like 1 Share |

Develpeast: The igbos that commented on this thread are just kids with little or no responsibility. Dragging more than 40 million people to the gutters because they want them to follow us to achieve biafra. These guys should limit their response on thread about south south people in biafra. I have lived my life in almost all geopolitical zones and it is only those who have really dealt with other tribes that can really talk about the south south joining the struggle or not.
I care less if you join or not, but it should be a rallying point for you to have your say in this country because these men in the north where i am presently are consolidating on their opportunity in power. It is less evident now, until someone else becomes president from the north, that is when you will all understand what i am trying to say.
PS: I work closely with the political class in the north (based on technical issues) and I know what I am saying. No jokes. You are the kid here and not we If you don't understand the psychological warfare taking place online then be quiet The internet is an international platform that can be used to make or mar an ethnic group All we did, is to push back those who want to create an evil global impression about our people I know that the idiot who started this nonsense has been humbled and dismantled after being reminded that he has no control over his oil wells and jobs because Hausa Fulani people see his Urhobo people as slave Take it or leave it, we have pushed the warfront further away from our territory into that of Afonjas Take your time to understand the warfare and the need to win psychologically 2 Likes 1 Share |

I have encouraged him to fight for his God given oil wells and jobs You came to mock Biafrans only to be reminded of your enslavement in Nigeria I know how painful it is to be acknowledged as a slave From today henceforth, Urhobos will always be reminded of their slave status so that they can rise up and fight for freedom like Ijaws Igbos etc Fratermathy, I know you didn't see this coming This is just the beginning of a long psychological warfare that will force you guys like the Ijaws to rethink |

In fact, they had the opportunity much more than any group in the East ever did. Igbos were very domineering, and that was why there were resentments from the Eastern Ijaws and Ogonis.
In the Western Region, minorities had a say in the house and were allowed to express that right. The Western Region was the first to ratify the Willink's commission report and started the processes towards the creation of the Mid-Western State. To crown it all, when the Mid-West was created, we made an Enuani-Igbo, Osita Osadebay as our premier. Something that I know Igbos would never do for any other group then. Why didn't Mid West had a shot in the leadership of Western Nigeria even for a second |

You know nothing of colonial politics. The leader of a party automatically qualities as the President. In the East, Ita was the Vice President of NCNC until Herbert Macauley died. Then he became, by default, the NCNC leader. This made him the most eligible for the position of President until Azikiwe was ready to take over the mantle. Immediately after, he was removed from his position. You are liar Herbert Macaulay assistant is Nnamdi Azikwe You can lie for Africa 1 Like |

Eyo Ita was President of the region from 1951-1953, barely two years, due to a vacuum in Igbo leadership orchestrated by Nnamdi Azikiwe's failure to fill the void. Amah70: Religion in Nigeria's political process is live.
Far north Nigeria has led Nigeria most of the time.
Differences in religion between predominantly Muslim far northern Nigeria people and, for example, people in Warri area, account for why oil-rich Warri area is not developed to the level of Dubai, after fifty years of oil proceeds from Warri area.
Religious bias accounts for why the first standard gauge rail lines in Nigeria, worth $1.059 billion, could be built in northern Nigeria, before the oil-producing areas of the Niger delta, with Warri areas extending to Isoko, Urhobo and Itshekiri kingdoms.
There is hardly any Church in Urhobo, Itshekiri, Isoko, or in any Niger delta area, that has monetary value than many of the Mosques in far northern Nigeria.
-- the states of far northern Nigeria have little internally-generated revenues, hardly enough to pay wages of Civil servants, talk less build expensive Mosques.
It's only a possible fool from the Nigerdelta, or an impostor claiming to be Urhobo here, who cannot see the above distortions in Nigeria's existence, see Nigeria as a false country, and plot a way out of the falsehood called Nigeria.
Of course, left alone, in a million years, it shall be next to impossible for the Urhobo, Itshekiri and Isoko to free themselves from the falsehood and distorted country Nigeria.
Therefore, a wiser Urhobo, Itshekiri, Isoko, or indeed, any non-Igbo group in the SS shall embrace Biafra as a way to escape the false and distorted Nigeria, after which even an Urhobo or Isoko or Itshekiri country becomes very easy to get from Biafra.

The main reason why Mid-Westerners sought separation was that Ibadan was too far. It was not pragmatic to travel to Ibadan all the time in order to align with the government. That was why we wanted Benin as the capital so that government can be close to the people.
Secondly, minorities would always want to be free of majorities, whether or not they treated us well. We wanted our cultural heritage to be preserved.
