I wrote to from same hebrew which after describing the paying of tithe by Abraham to Melchizedek and it's continuation by levites and thereafter said that though all this existed in d past but since christ who has no genealogy with them came and be made priest has no need for sacrifice causing a change of priesthood therefore there is need for change of the law which is carnal. I will make some things clear to some folks like Mr. Ifedayo aka freeze, who enjoy claiming Abraham's blessings but do not wish to act like Abraham. The bible tells us that, Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Tithing is a mystery. It is not an old testament mosaic law thing. It predated the old testament mosaic laws. Tithing is a " Melchizedeik order" principle. Gen 14: 18-20 tells us more.

Melchizedek king of Salem [later called Jerusalem] brought out bread and wine [for their nourishment]; he was the priest of God Most High,

19 And he blessed him and said, Blessed (favored with blessings, made blissful, joyful) be Abram by God Most High, Possessor and Maker of heaven and earth,

20 And blessed, praised, and glorified be God Most High, Who has given your foes into your hand! And [Abram] gave him a tenth of all [he had taken].

The above text shows us when the first ten percent was paid. Our father Abraham did it to a priest, who is being referred to as a Priest of God, Most High. Now, that title "Most High or El- Elyon" is God's greatest Identity.

Scriptures make us understand that Melchizedek did not have a geneology, no beginning, no end. To come into this world, you have to be born. Melchizedek came anyway. To leave this world, it has to be by ...you know what. Melchizek left anyway.

Our Lord Jesus Christ was addressed as a Priest after the Melchizedeic order in Psalm 110:4, and i quote "The Lord has sworn and will not revoke or change it: You are a priest forever, after the manner and order of Melchizedek.

This clearly shows us that the previous Melchizedek was a foreshadow(adumbration) of Jesus Christ. That said, we know that paying of tithe isnt a Mosaic principle but a Melchizedeic principle and since we are Abraham's spiritual seed made possible by the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, there is absolutely nothing wrong in following after the footsteps of our father Abraham.

It is not a "law thing", it is an "adumbration thing"... a foreshadow kind of thing...an act of faith..showing how much we trust God for providing for us. Its the same way we see Abraham as a dedicated servant of God and we follow suit.

With all this said, I believe Mr. Ifedayo and his co travelers should find a better calling and stop attacking the body of Christ. Yes, mama Funke Adejumo was right. The scriptures back it up. The wisdom of God is " foolishness" unto men.
