*The Emperors new clothes..*
Not too long ago in a land not so far away, there reigned an emperor who before his ascent to power promised to turn the kingdom into paradise on earth if only he was given a chance to sit on the throne. Given that the ihabitants of the kingdom were disillusioned and also longed for a messiah, he was finally handed the reigns of power amidst so much cheer and fanfare.
In his bid to be seen as smart and tough while also to look the part, he surrounded himself with all sorts of advisers including scholars, magicians and all what not. The problem was that these advisers did not share the same vision with the emperor as their sole interest was getting into his pockets.
It came to pass that the emperor sent them out on their task(s), to go around the kingdom and fix everything that needed fixing, they all dispached and not long after they all returned. The emperor was amazed and quizzed them about how they were able to carry out repairs in so short a time, the advisers answered that they were able to carry out all repairs with the help of the magicians, but that only the purest of hearts will be able to see/feel the impact of the work they had done. Not to be seen as having an evil heart, the emperor immediately affirmed that he could already feel the impact of their work and because his heart was even purer than that of his advisers he didn't need to go and inspect any of the work done.
There was much suffering in the land, marauders were on rampage, so many ills were going on under the emperor's watch, but the advisers quickly dispelled every news saying there was much evil in the hearts of the countrymen, that's why they are not able to see so much good that have been done for and on their behalf. They even went as far as telling the emperor that he has so much power(s) left-over its to much for only his kingdom, so he should go about fixing the problems of other kingdoms far and near.
The emperor is currently announcing himself to distant lands, promising all who care to give him audience that he posesses the ability to fix the world. My story does not have an ending yet as events in and around the kingdom concerning the emperor are still unfolding, although every story lover knows how the tale is destined to end. Maybe just maybe the emperor realises in time that it has been a mirage all along (I STRONGLY DOUBT THAT).

One might relate this to state of Nigeria
