I captured May 4 at Alausa. A guy that captured April 8 did not get his passport today. They also told him to wait for sms . Another person of April 16 or something got sms and collect today.

When did you capture? I captured(renewal) in Alausa (DIY)on April 8th, went there July 27th, without getting an SMS, but my passport was ready and collected.

Anybody that is thinking DIY should not come near Alausa center except you're ready to wait for the next 5 months minimum after you capture. I was at Alausa today and those that captured April this year are just receiving sms to come for collection of their passport. I saw some who captured March this year and their passport is not out yet. The pages of your passport and whether fresh or renewal does not matter. IF YOU DIY AT ALAUSA, WAIT TO GET SMS BEFORE YOU GO THERE OR ELSE YOU WILL BE FRUSTRATED. YOU MAY NOT GET SMS IF THE PHONE NUMBER YOU FILLED DURING APPLICATION IS NOT CORRECT OR YOU MAKE MISTAKE WHILE FILLING YOUR FORM.

The level of corruption on display at Alausa need serious media attention. Officers there are seriously cashing out with fast track. If you DIY and pay minimum of 15k depending on officer you approach, your passport will be out in 2 weeks. I confirmed this for real, and DIY are waiting 5 & 6 months without their passport. Don't be deceived by the 3 & 6 weeks notice. You will wait for 6 months .

I think Shagamu center is better now for DIY. My source is what I read here. Alausa, Ikoyi and Fastac was like that some months ago. They have returned back to their corrupt practices without shame and human feeling.

If you want to DIY, I will suggest you think twice before you make your decision. A word is enough for the wise.

Do not bother about this, you are to capture on Oct 26, you don't need to start tracking anything until after biometrics.

I'm confused and getting worried here. Team DIY, captured 2nd June. It's still showing no record found when I track it! I don't stay where I captured. What should I do?

You will write application letter at the NIS office, the format is on their wall,and it's very easy. Take along all printed documents you downloaded from the site,while applying. Go with old passport if its renewal, and if fresh application, go with guarantor's form fully signed and stamped where necessary, with photocopy of guarantor's passport data page. Every other thing needed to be done, will be passed across to you while opening a file at the NIS office.

I'm due for my capture soon. I saw on the documents I need to bring along an application letter. Does it mean I have to write an application letter? I don't want to get there and be tossed about by them. Please help with the information on documents to submit.

The file is where you keep the forms printed online, during application for passport. This file is what will be used in calling you in for capturing. If it's DIY and you opened file same day as your capturing date, you may likely miss capturing that day, and once that happens, your story to a long wait may begin.

What does it mean to "Open your file' pls?

If it's DIY, don't go by next week, wait till August 14 atleast, so as not waste time and money. Even someone who captured April 20(he paid 55k), was asked to come back in August, also DIY of Apr 25th was asked to come back in August too.

I captured at Alausa on the 4th of May for renewal and the online tracker is still showing production in progress.

Please, what date did you capture at Alausa and how did you confirm your passport was ready?

it will not solve anything, and nothing will be fixed. Tokunbo gear of that car can not be more than 50k, go to Ladipo and have it replaced. you can safe some money by selling the old one as scrap, 8 to 10k could be saved that should take care of the labour cost.

Pls house my Nisan partfinder needed plug changing because of misfire, so the day i change just two the car was firing fine but the moment i change the third one, hard a poor firing and can't start again.
