![]() Our people are cunningly intrusive ... It's simple, always have the right answers to their brainless questions whenever they come my/your way. |
ivyT:Lovelorn : check Before 30 , not yet. Will watch later. Thanks! |

Just this morning.. Similar situation happened in my house All my work outfit were scattered over the walk in closet(I'm very unorganized compared to my hubby) floor. But he picks and hangs them up Everytime but I don't always say thank you to be honest. This morning He said, "babe I pick up all your clothes everyday and you should appreciate I'm not like other men" (jokingly). Ofcourse he wants to be acknowledged & feels I'm not doing it. I rubbed his head and gave him a kiss and said thanks babe. Case closed. #Pls don't quote me. |
How else can you communicate with one's spouse without being construed as rude or commanding? Please Tearoses & other wise women help me out here ? |
Dera25:So you admit she didn't outrightly 'command' you to do this. Well you made posters think so with your initial post hence the insults on your wife. I fear you oga, you fit kill person. Don't be like that, it's malicious and conniving. Reminding you? She's your wife and she can ask you anything whenever she's not happy with any situation , that is communication , it reduces tension in marriage. You don't have to bring everything to social media to feel superior. Btw me & you oga, pleases & thank yous are the first mandatory manners we teach kids growing up so what part of the world are you from? My husband says thank you to me everytime I serve him his meals, wash his clothes etc. every little gestures count in marriage. Train yourself so you will have a rest of mind. Start saying thank you and remember, a happy wife =happy home. |
ivyT, I watch fair amount Nigerian movies, just not acquainted with the actors names. Esp new ones. I saw 'Champagne' yesterday , lot like Demi Moore's indecent proposal. But a perfect twist to it. |
ivyT:Who are they? Sorry Im not familiar with these people. ![]() |
@Tearoses... You couldn't have said it any better. If couples can openly speak up and talk to each other about their likes and dislikes. I think the family unit will tremendously florish. The story you narrated was one hell of a choking marriage. Sudden changes in lifestyle, strict rules in the comfort of my own sanctuary, in contrast to what couples are used to can kill a spouse phsycologically The whole idea is to compliment each other. Another suitable example , was a friend that changed all the family diet if you open her fridge, all you see is nuts, goat milk, tofu , and free rage chicken No KFC/mcD/restaurant to avoid 'junk & unhealthy food' , it would be ideal if that was their usual routine but it wasn't. her soft spoken, sheltered husband that comes right back home from work at 5:30pm suddenly has to hang out with friends every night. Even, myself had to grab a bite before I visit her. It takes two really, changes without seeking her spouse's consent or input and thinks everything will be rosy in her relationship is looking for a long term trouble. I talked to her but you know how our sisters can be. |
Dera25:Oga, Just out of curiosity Was she serious about it or jokingly? |

I edwife:Sad story. Not condoning excuses for his infidelity but they were seperated for six months. Zion was there 24/7 with her man ... Abeg , what's his excuse? You're very right; we will never know what human beings want. |
Akposy:Lol, it's only traditional to use ground meat with pasta. Kids won't have it any other way. It's quite chewy & tasty though. ![]() |
crowns2:TENK ![]() |
justwise:It takes two you know? No right thinking person will start nagging out of the blue without any precipitating factor. Anyway , I believe many relationships are lacking effective communication; if she wants to talk about it and he doesn't wanna hear it , obviously somebody's demands are not being met hence the katatata we read on NL. If you're not ready to hear boring dinner table stories every night and overflogged complain about the bent garage door that needs to be fixed ASAP.. Stay single. ![]() |
