Business › How Best Can I Invest #50,000 As A Very Busy Student? by excell12go(op): 8:31am On Dec 28, 2013*. Modified: 10:43am On Dec 28, 2013 |
Hi friends,
I have a token of #50,000 in my account with no aim of putting it to use anytime soon. Starting a petty business with it would have been the best but being a medical student in one of the most competitive universities around is a limiting factor.
Please, how best do u think I can invest this money? If business comes to mind, what kind of business could I venture into and won't affect my academics? Plz help |

bloggernaija: Widow or no widow. The instructions/rules/ law was simple enough. Why can't Nigerians obey simple instructions? Why do we behave like animal?
From overloaded lorries, To drunk unlicensed driver, To roadside traders encroaching on the highway , Siren blaring bigman aka stupid politicians.
The next minute ,they will start complaining about bad government disregarding the fact that the government is mirroring our own personal bad behaviour.
Poverty is not an excuse. Neither should the law develop eyes because she is a WIDOW.
The government is doing the job it was elected to do and our Uncivilised people are talking about MERCY . Yes ,the language was bad But he had to personally set an example.
MY TAKE IS THAT NIGERIANS ARE SO ISED TO LAWLESSNES THAT IT HAS BECOME THE BEW NORMAL.
NOW FOR THOSE WHO ARE IGNORANT OF THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE WESTERN REGION AND THE MIDWEST, WIDOW OR NO WIDOW, THIS WOMAN HAVE BEEN CHARGED TO COURT ,HEAVILY FINED AND HER GOODS SIEZED . WHEN DID IT BECOME A CRIME TO ENFORCE THE LAW? O.M.G!! Why are you so heartless |

Rt. Amaechi, I salute you courage. Only few people would have been able to endure this far. It's not easy to see oneself being depreived of one's right. You won the NGF election but our Oga at d top played politics with what was visible to the blind and audible to the deaf. Your decision will probably make him know that he should have found a better way of pitching tents with you instead of scattering the governors' forum. GEJ is a man I love so much. Though his administration may be 'sub-standard', but I believe it is and would be better than that of APC. Please return to him. I believe he has learnt his lessons. Such a barbaric act of his won't repeat itself again. |

Arobam: Mr Man, How come you know more than 60 percent of the striking lecturers who voted nationwide for the strike to end? Your s.tupidity on this platform is grossly underestimated. If you can spare some time to use those brains in your skull, you would come to realise that you have been spewing rubbish.
At no time has FG refused to stick with its latest agreement with ASUU. the bone of contention is that Fagge has refused to heed to the call of majority of his fellow lecturers to call off a strike but is still insisting on a 2009 agreement that ihe knows FG cannot implement. You're completely wrong here bro. -ALLthe schools who voted that the strike be called off gave conditions. -if the FG sets a precedence in not honouring its latest agreement with ASUU, what wd u do? -Feggie isn't insisting on d 2009 agreement. Please be well informed. |

Demdem: Excellent questions. Fools would love to dodge it I'm sure they will. All they are after is just to resume. They are not concerned about preventing subsequent strike actions by this same union. If this agreement(s) is/are documented, at least we are sure of 4 'strike-free'years ahead. I would have been through with my housejob then...preparing to be called up by NYSC |

Puntae: Hey! Stop fooling yourself trying to defend the indefensible. This your argument would have made sense if it came up before the last meeting that President Jonathan had with the ASUU leaders. There is time for everything. The President came down from his high horse to discuss with ASUU. One expected that should have gone a long way to resolve the whole crisis but ASUU apears adamant and intent on wreaking havoc on the system.
The decay in the system did not start today. It was neither caused by Jonathan. Even the man who was president and signed the 2009 agreement did not give ASUU a kobo. They just woke up 5 years later to hold GEJ to ransome. Yet the President has obliged them with over 200 billion but they are still playing politics. If I were the president, I would have sacked all of them a long time ago. If the bolded was really meant, then he sholdnt find it difficult to make it formal now. If he prepares d document duly signed and stamped, he can be sued next year if he fails to honour it. Let's stop thinking about the shortrun and 'project' into the longrun. What if he pays next year and 2015 and refuse to pay in 2016? Will ASUU go on strike again? |
Politics › Re: FG Directs Federal Universities To Re-Open Immediately by excell12go(m): 12:48pm On Nov 28, 2013 |
Mandelaguy: Here comes the resident retard on Nairaland with his i.mbecilic comments as usual. President Jonathan is the first president to enter into direct negotiations with ASUU. He didn't do it out of weakness but a genuine desire to end the strike and get Nigerian students back to school.
It took the President 13 hours to reach a feasible agreement with ASUU (while you were asleep) and they had an understanding which includes a variation of the unimplementable 2009 agreement that ASUU reached under Yaradua.
President Jonathan told ASUU (and the facts are verifiable) that he is the president who has invested more in Education than any other. He told them that he increased Education funding in the Budget from below 300B to 450 B. he also specialized tertiary funding through TETFUNDS.
He has undertaken the establishment of 12 new Federal universities to ensure that no state in the federation is deprived. Since the strike started, FG has committee 100B for infrastructure and 30 B for earned allowances (no other administration has done this much) In the same meeting, President said that despite the increased budgetary funding to Education by 450B, he will also mobilise 200 B in fulfillment of the agreement for the next 4 years.
So what is ASUU's problem? Since you were born, have you heard of any President that offered this much to ASUU just to call off a strike? It's so unfortunate that politics has beclouded our sense of reasoning in this country. President GEJ has tried, let FG go ahead to reopen the schools and it will be a popular move as you can see from comments on this thread If JONATHAN is really serious with these promises of his, why is he finding it difficult to put it in writing with his signature and official stamp So you want ASUU to call off now and go on strike again next year if He(Jonathan) fails to honour his 'air promises' abi? |
Politics › Re: FG Directs Federal Universities To Re-Open Immediately by excell12go(m): 12:43pm On Nov 28, 2013 |
Their new demands aren't too much for FG to implement if they(FG) really want us to go back to school.
Why can't d FG put into writing their promise of N220B annual grant to these institutions? ? That means they are not ready to drop this money next year and they know they can be sued by ASUU if they dont.
if paying their four(4) months salary will settle things a bit, why can't they just pay Don't they(FG) have the money? Would the FG not have paid if ASUU had not been on strike?
If the federal government really wants us to go back to school, they know what to do. Let them do the needful. |
