There are many use cases for a Visa card.
We also have the GTB USD variant Visa card but unfortunately, they don't offer withdrawals of funds in this card.
Hence the reason we are asking of the exchange rate of their Naira variant.
We are trying to get lists of Banks that supports this feature and their terms.

By now, you should know we also offer exchange services if you check our Signature.
This isn't about exchange, but Bank Visa card features.

We appreciate your input so far though.

There is this UBA Africard. I am not too sure if they still issue it. Since mine expired i haven't ordered for a new one.

We would like to get the list of Nigerian Banks that have Visa Cards that receive inward transfers.
Only list personally verified options, and we will give credit to you as we list them.
This will sure help others.

This is sure a great idea.
We wish there could be support for this though.

We've always told people to avoid this Bank.
They aren't customer friendly

We've always advice our users to stay away from GTB.
They are the worst thing happening to the banking sector in Nigeria at the moment.

I got the N50 debit alert today. It says for Monthly Card maintenance.

Yes, that's for Naira cards. Even though CBN gave the directive, they shouldn't have been that fast to charge users.

Issue is now rectified in their apology mail. REF: See image 3.

Update: Now rectified, see last image.

This evening, Access Bank sent a mail regarding charging $20 monthly on USD debit card, claiming its a CBN directive.

While this directive is true for annual maintenance, on no account did the CBN said they should charge $20 monthly in the Circular which can be found HERE (Section 10.3)


This is to serve as an heads up incase Access Bank proceeds with such fraudulent act.

how you come about your btc value should be explained on your website

Not us really. But we used it before the Luno hike, by then Luno was the default source.
And we discovered it was calculated with Ask Rate + Bid rate divided by 2, which is the general practice.

If you change your source to luno, you should see this.

We think Localbitcoins average rate is been used and seem fair enough. You can't stat a price without considering ask and bid rates.

The $20 is annually for Foreign Cards. Just to clear the air.
And they've reduced transfer fees to N50 and Card Payment fees to 0.75%(N1,200 max.).

Not everyone understands o, I used almost 30 minutes explaining how to calculate "per btc" to someone yday.

Someone posted this site yesterday, and we think it will solve issues like this. Since Blockchain is where most use to determine final value.

We are presently working with Cellulant to investigate Bitssa, BTC withdrawals are not been processed and they charge a very high hidden fee on Naira deposit which they claim should be free.

Seun needs to do something regarding this.

That means you do not know their policies. A GTB branch told me just weeks ago that they do not accept dollar series before 2009.

Our response didn't contradict the 2009 statement. We are more focused on low dollar denomination acceptance.

As for policies, we purposely don't bank with them because we fully know their crook ways, backed with their half-baked customer services.
