Refer to these scriptures when you are dealing with physical and emotional pain. Jesus Christ heals Simon Peter's mother-in-law (ibelieve) In life, there are moments when we are faced with emotional or physical pain. During those times, we encourage you to turn to the Bible for divine help. Here are ten great Bible verses to read when you need healing. My praises are for you alone!” Bible verses for healing Bible verses for healing (biblestudytools) Proverbs 4:20–22 — “My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Are you timid of visiting a hospital to confirm whether you are pregnant or not? Well apart from pregnancy test kits , there are simple ways that have proven to work. In fact, they are cheap and most importantly you will not incur an immense cost. From a biological point of view, pregnancy test identifies the Human Chronic Gonadotropin, a hormone that is present in urine and blood. This particular hormone is produced by the placenta after an implantation. The presence of hCG is detected in some pregnancy tests including the natural one. The hormone is discharged by the cells of placenta which is a sac formed to mask the egg against mechanical damages in the uterus. Just like the digital pregnancy test, homemade pregnancy test also detects the same hormone in urine. One way to test the condition is by using salt with your urine. It might sound incredible, but believe it or not, you can test the condition with salt. Here is how to go about it First and foremost, gather some urine in a bowl. Thereafter, add a little amount of salt to the urine. Stir the urine to dissolve the salt. Leave it intact for some minutes. If a milk cheese like color is formed or there are foams in the urine, then it means you are pregnant. However, if the urine retains its color, then you are not pregnant. #MyLifestyle |

You have to read it to the end... it's worthy it . . . . . . . . . When God created woman he was working late on the 6th day....... An angel came by and asked." Why spend so much time on her?" The lord answered. "Have you seen all the specifications I have to meet to shape her?" She must function on all kinds of situations, She must be able to embrace several kids at the same time, Have a hug that can heal anything from a bruised knee to a broken heart, She must do all this with only two hands," She cures herself when sick and can work 18 hours a day" THE ANGEL was impressed" Just two hands.....impossible! And this is the standard model?" The Angel came closer and touched the woman" "But you have made her so soft, Lord". "She is soft", said the Lord, "But I have made her strong. You can't imagine what she can endure and overcome" "Can she think?" The Angel asked... The Lord answered. "Not only can she think, she can reason and negotiate" The Angel touched her cheeks.... "Lord, it seems this creation is leaking! You have put too many burdens on her" "She is not leaking...it is a tear" The Lord corrected the Angel… "What's it for?" Asked the Angel..... . The Lord said. "Tears are her way of expressing her grief, her doubts, her love, her loneliness, her suffering and her pride."... This made a big impression on the Angel, "Lord, you are a genius. You thought of everything. A woman is indeed marvellous" Lord said."Indeed she is. She has strength that amazes a man. She can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens. She holds happiness, love and opinions. She smiles when she feels like screaming. She sings when she feels like crying, cries when happy and laughs when afraid. She fights for what she believes in. Her love is unconditional. Her heart is broken when a next-of-kin or a friend dies but she finds strength to get on with life" The Angel asked: So she is a perfect being? The lord replied: No. She has just one drawback "She often forgets what she is worth".

Until his sudden departure to glory on Sunday, 26th July, 1959, Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola showed no sign of illness. On Friday 24th July, he returned to Ibadan to attend the general council’s meeting slated for that day. On Saturday morning, 25th July, Apostle Babalola conducted the morning prayer for ministers and members living in the vicarage of C.A.C. Olugbode, Ibadan and prayed for everybody. The same day, he sent two of his followers, Michael and another fellow to me at Ede that I should prepare a place for him to sleep. I never knew he was talking of his final sleep. Apostle Ayo Babalola arrived Ede around 6:30 in the evening that Saturday and he was gladly received. Before his arrival, I had prepared my bedroom ready for him. We ensured that nobody was allowed to rush into the bedroom with him; for it was Apostle Babalola’s habit that he never turned away anybody who came to him for prayer and counselling, no matter how weary he might be. After prayer, I informed him that his meal was ready. He declined to take any meal but requested to be allowed to have some sleep, because he had been holding series of meetings since the past nine days with little or no rest. He woke up three hours later and took some tea and slept off again. At 4a.m. on Sunday 26th, he woke up, took his bath, took some tea and had his morning meditation without any disturbance. At 6 o’clock, I went to him in the bedroom and he began to talk about a great convention which will soon be held at his hometown, Odo-Owa. He was speaking in parables, so I did not suspect that he was talking about his approaching death. He directed me to call in Prophet Babajide who was in the adjacent room. Both of us knelt down beside his bed and he began to narrate to us how he began his ministry. It was such a sublime experience. Both of us just listened; we did not utter a single word during the course of his narration. After this, we knelt down for prayer. The three of us prayed. I took the lead. Prophet Babajide followed. When it was Apostle Babalola’s turn to pray, he prayed for a very long time, praying for the church, the leaders and for us too. After the special service, people came to Apostle Babalola in my bedroom and bid him farewell before leaving for their various destinations with joy and humour. He bid everyone farewell and prayed for them. Nobody suspected through his speech or action that death was lurking in the corners. We left him alone to attend to those who were waiting to see him. Meanwhile, Michael Osabi and Samuel Oluwatusin, the two young men who used to wait on him, remained with him as he took a nap. When he woke up, he called me and returned my covering-cloth to me. His action surprised me and I asked, “Baba, why are you doing this?” He replied, “A man should sleep with his own clothes.” It did not occur to me that he was speaking of his imminent death. He advised me to go and have some sleep myself. By then, everybody else had gone to church for the evening service. Around 5p.m. as he lay on the bed, Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola breathed heavily three times, saying after, “in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” His breathing was like the rumbling of a rain-storm and there was a great vibration in the bedroom. As this was happening, his personal attendants (Michael and Samuel) ran to call me to his bedside before he gave up the ghost. We began to pray and quickly sent for the church leaders who had gone to church for the evening service. We all prayed for his restoration. But while this prayer was on, the Lord opened my spiritual eyes to see what was happening in the heavenlies. The heavenly hosts had come to meet this great prophet and joyfully admitted him into the glory above. He had laid down his sword at Jesus’ feet. So he could not return to earth again. The church leaders and the elders who were present arranged for Apostle Babalola’s corpse to be taken to EFON ALAAYE that same night.

During the burial of this young man, another young man was
crying out his heart. He wept uncontrollably that many people
kept wondering what is wrong with him. I dropped the
microphone as the MC and went and took this weeping young
man to a corner, calmed him down and he started to explain. He
was with the guy that died the day he met his death. He drove
off first and on getting to a particular spot, he noticed that some
armed robbers were getting ready to block the road and resume
operation. He managed to escape. He started calling his friend to
tell him what he saw, that he should remain where he was. This
friend would not pick his call. To him: “why is he calling? He
should know that I am driving right behind him”. He refused to
pick the call as this guy kept calling and calling. Finally, he
drove into the now ready armed robbers and they pumped
countless bullets on him. He died on the spot and armed robbers
stole his car. This man was crying because he knew his friend
killed himself. Many of us are just like this. Are you the one
buying the credit for him or her? Pick your call when your
phone rings and know why you are been called. If the phone
rings twenty times in one minute, pick in all occasions. He was
saving credit for his friend because I am driving straight to
where he is, he met his death. You are in an occasion and you
are calling someone you are looking at because you want to pass
a crucial information, he ignores the call and is walking up to
you instead, even when you are making sign that he should pick
the call. It is possible that this caller didn’t want you to come
near him because he wanted to code something. Pick your call
and say hello. Some people will not pick calls from numbers
they don’t know and Iwonder: HOW MANY PEOPLE DO
YOU KNOW ON PLANET EARTH? DO YOU EVER
THINK THAT THOSE PEOPLE YOU KNOW ARE ALL
YOU NEED IN LIFE? Notesomething, there is no one
individual that knows up to 1% of the world population. Is it not
insanity for you to restrict your life to just 1% of global
population? What of the remaining 99%? Many people have
missed life saving opportunities because they refused to pick a
particular call. PICK YOUR PHONE WHEN IT RINGS AS
LONG AS YOU ARE AVAILABLE. ONE CALL CAN
CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOR THE BETTER AND REFUSAL
TO PICK A PARTICULAR CALL CAN TAKE YOU TO

We have finished the wedding/marriage, it is now time to build our marriage. All that is left now is the two of us… What we will become tomorrow, starts from tonight. Our life is no longer the same. There was a day you put on one red dress… You looked so beautiful in it. That Day I wanted to just touch you! We were in the Cinema and I was so tempted. I wanted to just take you inside the toilet and kiss you but I couldn’t. Guess what? Now I have you forever, I can do that everyday. Before I take off your cloth and make love to you… let me tell you few things. I have nothing to hide from you from this day. My phone, you can use it like your own. You can access my facebook, my twitter and my Instagram From today, I have become a child. For the past five years of my life, I have been a man. I wake myself up in the morning, sometimes I go to bed hungry, I do things the way I want to. I come home whenever I want to but all that ends today. From today you become my mother, who will scold me when I come home late, a mother who will wake me up at six to go work, a mother who will ensure I don’t sleep hungry. I am glad I have a mother in you. I hope you will be a good mother? Don’t be too harsh and I promise I won’t be too stubborn. Sometimes I will give you headache but I promise, I will also be the cure of every headache. When my parents died, I looked after my brothers and sisters. I was like a father to them. So i will not have problem being a father to you. Why not share this post? Maybe you can touch someone! |

We were screaming. Tempers were high. I was angry & He was angry. Then, I called him an idiot! He was shocked. He looked at me asking how dare I call him that.I immediately started calling him idiot, fool, stupid, crazy.I called him all sort of names.Guess what he did?He didn’t raise his hands to hit me.He just walked away, banging the door as he went out.My Son, If ur father had hit me & destroyed my eyes, how will u feel sitting here with me today? How will u regard him as your father?Would u have been proud of him or would u be blaming me for calling him names?Never HIT ur wife! No matter the provocation.Just walk away & things will be normal.Whenever she offends u, think of this story, I just told u, it could have been ur mum! Before I 4get, after he left, I was filled with guilt. We slept on same bed that night & I went to him the next day. I pleaded with him, I did all I could to show am sorry & he forgave me.That day I cooked his favourite food, yes u know he loves Miyar Kuka soup right? After that day, I never called him names, my respect for him was 10x stronger!!!There is something very important u must always do, my son listen very carefully, DEFEND UR WIFE.When she is under PRESSURE, STAND BY HER.If ur friends HATES her, it is ur duty to make them see her as a QUEEN.His relations, never liked me.But ur father was always supportive until their perception changed! There was a day ur Father was going to host a Meeting with his friends. That day, I was in the kitchen cooking for them & ur father went to buy drinks. When the table was set & food was served. Everyone started eating. Then I remembered I did not ADD SALT in the FOOD. I was embarrassed.Your father tasted the food & looked at me. He immediately turned to the guests. He told them that he instructed his wife last month not to add salt whenever she is cooking because of some problem with his body.He said it in a FUNNY WAY & everyone laughed! The guests understood & he asked me to bring salt & everyone added according to their taste. He managed to eat the food without salt. After the guest left, he went on his knees & asked ALLAH to forgive him for LYING.Your wife is like a baby, sometimes she don’t know what to say or do. Stand up and speak for her!Now let me talk 2u about sex.You see sex is a wonderful thing.Do not be surprised if ur wife enjoy & need sex more than u do.Don’t always think of your self.Sex is best enjoyed when the two parties are physically & mentally ready for it.Sometimes, read ur wife & understand her.Make it a habit to go PLACES with ur wife. Beside your job, move around with her.If anyone invite u to his house & told u not to come with ur wife then be very careful.Use wisdom.I know you love ME as a mummy…I know u tell me all ur problems. But now things will be different.Let ur wife be the first to know be4 me.When u have problems with her don’t run to me immediately.Wait for a day to pass & then talk to her about it.Pray about it.Report her to nobody but talk issues out within yourself.I know u will have a happy home.May God bless ur home. |
His Missionary Journeys: After the great revival of Oke-Oye, the prophet was directed by the Holy Spirit to go out on further missionary journeys, but even before this, people from other parts of the country had been spreading the glad tidings of Oke-Oye, Ilesa's great revival, to other parts of the country. Accompanied by somefollowers, Joseph Babalola went to Offa, in present Kwara State. Characteristically, people turned out to hear his preaching and see miracles. The Muslims in Offa became jealous and for that reason incited the members of the community against him. To avoid bloodshed he was compelled to leave. He next stopped in Usi in Edition land for his evangelical mission and he performed many works of healing. From Usi he and his men moved to Efon-Alaaye, also in Edition land, where they received a warm reception from the Oba Alaaye of Efon. An entire building was provided for their comfort. Babalola requested an open space for prayer from the Oba who willingly and cheerfully gave him the privilege tochoose a site. Consequently, the prophet and his men chose a large area at the outskirts of town. Traditionally the place was a forbidden forest because of the evil spirits that were believed to inhabit it. The Oba tried to dissuade Babalola and his men from entering the forbidden forest, but Babalola insisted on establishing his prayer ground there. The missionaries entered the bush, cleared it and consecrated it as a prayer ground. When no harm came upon them, the inhabitants of Efon were inspired to accept the new faith in large numbers. Babalola's evangelistic success in Efon-Alaaye was aremarkable one. Archdeacon H. Dallimore from Ado-Ekiti and some white pastors from Ogbomoso Baptist Seminary were believed to have come to see for themselves the "wonder-workingprophet" at Efon. Both Dallimure and the Baptist pastors reportedly asked some men from St. Andrew's College, Oyo and Baptist Seminary, Ogbomoso to assist in the work. The success of the revival was accelerated by the conversion of both the Oba of Efon and the Oba of Aramoko. They were both baptized with the names, Solomon Aladejare Agunsoye and Hezekiah Adeoye respectively. After this event, news of the revival at Efon spread to other parts of Ekitiland . The missionaries also visited other towns in the present Ondo State. Among them were Owo, Ikare and Oka. Babalola retreated to his home town in Odo-Owa to fortify himself spiritually. While he was at Odo-Owa, a warrant for hisarrest was issued from Ilorin. He was arrested for preaching against witches, a practice which had caused some trouble in Otuo in present Bendel State. He was sentenced to jail for six months in Benin City in March 1932. After serving the jail term, he went back to Efon Alaaye. One Mr. Cyprian E. Ufon came from Creek Town in Calabar to entreat Babalola to "come over to Macedonia and help." Ufon hadheard about Babalola and his works and wanted him to preach in Creek Town. After seeking God's direction, the prophet followed Ufon to Creek Town. His campaign there was very successful. From Creek Town, Babalola visited Duke town and a plantation where a national church existed at the time. Certain members of this church received the gift of the Holy Spirit as Babalola was preaching to them and were baptized. When the prophet returned from the Calabar area, he settled down for a while. In 1935 he married Dorcas. The following year Babalola, accompanied by Evangelist Timothy Bababusuyi, went to the Gold Coast. On arrival at Accra, he was recognized by some people who had seen him at the Great Revival in Ilesa. After a successful campaign in the Gold Coast he returned to Nigeria. Babalola was genuinely dissatisfied with the increasing materialistic and sinful existence of his time because of the western civilization influence on society grew. Joseph Ayo Babalola slept in the Lord in 1959. — |
Then following a schism in the Apostolic Church about 1940, Babalola went with a new independent church, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), where he continued his healing and revivalistic activities until his death. The CAC regards Babalola as an apostle and his revival ministry as the beginning of the church. A CAC retreat center was built where Babalola was first called in 1928. Revival at Oke-Oye: There was a controversy among the leaders of the Faith Tabernacle in Nigeria over some doctrines. In the midst of it were, in particular, the Ilesa and Oyan branches of the tabernacle. The Oyan branch was under the supervision of Pastor J. A. Babatope, a notable Anglican teacher, before his conversion and later, one of the outstanding leaders of the Faith Tabernacle in Nigeria. Issues like the use of western and traditional drugs versus divine healing, polygamy and whether polygamous husbands should be allowed to partake of the Lord's Super, were among those doctrines that needed to be agreed on. These issues had caused dissension at the IIesa Tabernacle and in order to avoid a split, a delegation of peacemakers made up of all leading Faith Tabernacle pastors, was sent to Ilesa. It was headed by Pastor J. B. Esinsinade of Ijebu-Ode, president of the General Headquarters of the movementand D. O. Odubanjo of the Lagos Missionary Headquarters. The Ilesa meeting was scheduled for the 9thand l0th of July, 1930. The Apostolic Council of Jerusalem in A.D. 48 and other important church councils are precedents in seeking ecclesiastical direction on matters affecting the life and peace of the church. |
Joseph Ayo Babalola lived from 1904 to1959. He was the first prophet God used to lead a great revival in Nigeria after the raising of a 10 years old boy in 1930. He was the first General Evangelist of the ChristApostolicChurch, a church that metamorphosed from a prayer group popularly called Egbe Aladura in Nigeria. The Aladura Movement nucleated at Ijebu-Ode in 1918. Babalola was endowed with healing powers. Family Background: Joseph Ayodele Babalola was born of Yoruba parents, David Rotimi and Madam Marta Talabi on April 25, 1904 who belonged to the Anglican Church. The family lived at Odo-Owa in Ilofa, a small town about ninety kilometres from Ilorin in Kwara State, Nigeria. His father was the Baba Ijo ("churchfather" of the C.M.S. Church at Odo-Owa. Pastor Medayese wrote in his book "Itan Igbedide Woli Ayo Babalola" that mysterious circumstances surrounded the birth of Babalola. On that day, it was believed that a strange and mighty object exploded and shook the clouds. On January 18, 1914, young Babalola was taken by his brother M. 0. Rotimi, a Sunday school teacher in the C.M.S. Church at Ilofa, who later took him to Osogbo. Babalola started school at Ilofa and got as far as standard five at All Saints' School, Osogbo. However, he quit school when he decided to learn a trade and became a motor mechanic apprentice. Again, he did not continue long in this vocation before joining the Public Works Department (PWD). He was among the road workers who constructed the road from Igbara-Oke to Ilesa, working as a steamroller driver.Ministerial Call: Babalola's was a specific and personal call. Babalola's strange experience started on the night of September 25th, 1928 when he suddenly became restless and could not sleep. This went on for a week and he had no inkling of the causes of such a strange experience. The climax came one day when he was, as usual, working on the Ilesa-Igbara-Oke road. Suddenly the steam roller'sengine stopped to his utter amazement. There was no visible mechanical problem, and Joseph became confused and perplexed. He was in this state of confusion when a great voice "like the sound of many waters" called him three times. The voice was loud and clear and it told him that he would die if he refused to heed the divine call to go into the world and preach. Babalola did not want to listen to this voice and he responded like many of the Biblical prophets, who, when they were called out by Yahweh as prophets, did not normally yield to the first call. So, Babalola gave in only after he had received the assurance ofdivine guidance. To answer the call, he had to resign his appointment with the Public Works Department. Mr. Fergusson, the head of his unit, tried to dissuade him from resigning but the young man was bent on going on theLord's mission. The same voice came to Joseph a second time asking himto fast for seven days. The experience led him to a personal retreat in the home of Joseph Fapounda aChristian leader in Christ Missionary Society in Ipetu Ijesa in Ogun State Nigeria. In a vision he had, Jesus appeared to him in a white robe along with a very tall man who revealed that it was this Jesus who asked me to speak with you. The man in a dazzling robe spoke at length about the mission he wasto embark upon. The man also told him of the persecutions he would face and at the same time assuredhim of God's protection and victory. A hand prayer bell was given to Babalola as a symbol. He was told that the sound of the bell would always drive away evil spirits. He was also given a bottle of"life-giving water" to heal all manners of sickness. Consequently, wherever and whenever he prayed into water for therapeutic purposes, effective healing was procured for those who drank the water. Thus, Babalola became a prophet and a man with extraordinary powers. Enabled by the power of the Holy Spirit he could spend several weeks in prayer. It was remarked by Elder Abraham Owoyemi of Odo-Owa that the prophet regularly saw angels who delivered divine messages to him. An angel appeared in one of his prayers and forbade him to wear caps. After a successful first crusade at Yagba, he later joined Faith Tabernacle in Lagos, which was affiliated to an American Divine Healing Church. Acts of Prophet Babalola:During one of his prayer sessions an angel appeared to him and gave him a big yam which he ordered him to eat. The angel told him that the yam was the tuber with which God fed the whole world. He further revealed that God had granted unto him the power to deliver those who were possessed of evilspirits in the world. He was directed to go first to Odo-Owa and start preaching. He was to arrive in the town on a market day, cover his body with palm fronds and disfigure himself with charcoal paints. In October 1928, he entered the town in the manner described and was taken for a mad man. Babalola immediately started preaching and prophesying. He told the inhabitants of Odo-Owa about an impending danger if they did not repent. He was arrested and taken to the district officer at Ilorin forallegedly disturbing the peace. The district officer later released him when the allegations could not be proven. However, it was said that a few days later, there was an outbreak of smallpox in the town. The man whose prophecies and messages were once rejected was quickly sought for. He went around praying for the victims and they were all healed. Pa David Rotimi, Babalola's father, had been instrumental in the establishment of a C.M.S. Church in Odo-Owa. Babalola organized regular prayer meetings in this church which many people attended because of the miracles God performed through him. Among the regulars was Isaiah Oluyemi who later saw the wrath of Bishop Smith of Ilorin diocese.Information had reached the bishop that almost all members of the C.M.S. Church in Ilofa were seeing visions, speaking in tongues and praying vigorously. Babalola and the visionaries were allegedly orderedby Bishop Smith to leave the church. But Babalola did not leave the town until June 1930.On an invitation from Daniel Ajibola, Babalola went to Lagos. Elder Daniel Ajibola at that time was working inIbadan where he was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Congregation. He introduced Prophet Babalola to Pastor D. O. Odubanjo, one of the leaders of the Faith Tabemacle in Lagos. Senior Pastor Esinsinade who was then the president of the Faith Tabernacle was invited to see Babalola. After listening to thedetails of his call and his ministry, the Faith Tabernacle leaders warmly received the young prophet into their midst. Babalola had not yet been baptized by immersion and Senior Pastor Esinsinade emphasized that he needed to go through that rite. Pastor Esinsinade then baptized him in the lagoon at the back of the Faith Tabernacle Church building at 51, Moloney Bridge Street, Lagos.Babalola returned to Odo-Owa a few days after that and Elder (later Pastor) J. A. Medayese, paid him a visit. The news of the conversion of the new prophet reached Pastor K. P. Titus at Araromi in Yagba, presentKwara State. Pastor Titus was a teacher and preacher at the Sudan Interior Mission which was then thriving at Yagba. He invited Prophet Babalola for a revival service. Joseph Ayodele Babalola while in Yagba, performed mighty works of healing. Many Muslims and Christians from other denominations and some traditional religionists were converted to the new faith during the revival. The fact that Babalola did not use the opportunity to establish a separate Christian organization despite his marvelous evangelical success, must be puzzling to historians, but his intention was not to start a newchurch. He declared to his followers that he had registered his membership with the Faith Tabernacle, the society which had him baptized in Lagos. He thus persuaded them to become members of the FaithTabernacle. To facilitate this, he went to Lagos to confer with the leaders, especially as he was not yet well acquainted with the doctrines, tenets, and administration of the church. In 1931, Faith Tabernacle of Nigeria affiliated with the British Apostolic Church to protect itself from colonial persecution.

As colonialist officially took over in 1900, our own leaders sold us for valuables; we suffered a lot as the colonial masters took over our home for 60years, Kudos to our nationalist. Finally we own ourselves again in 1960 and that made things worse, the upshot of religion and regional sentiment created enmity in our homes. The Military dictatorial onslaught was too harsh for us to cope with, wevociferated for democracy in anticipation for freedom from the indirect slavery so we can again live as a freeborn, not knowing the danger of democracy will be immense, Democracy handed power over to leaders who strive for power in the name of quenching the ignition of the indirect slavery but in the real sense they keep enslaving us and our future. Our leaders! Your oath of office to protect our lives and properties is irrelevant; recently many of our siblings especially in the northern part of our land lost their lives, homes and properties. In our home, our motherland, on our own soil we live like slave, our human rights are violated, our future lies in jeopardy. Our leaders make laws and yet breaks them saying “rules are meant to be broken”, they amend laws to suit themselves like one horrible leader who wanted to amend the constitution just to stay extra four years in office after two terms (sigh), but whenever the law favours them and we are the victim you hear them quoting section one subsection one of our constitution. The fear is that whenever solution looms, something more damaging impede. Our larders do everything to make sure we cannot fight for our right; Even when we smuggle into a school despite the thousands, they make sure the certificate is useless by placing their children in every employment opportunity. We remain helpless in our homeland. Our children with first class or distinction are teacher and kwabes, swa p or whatever are they called . those with second class are white collar job seekers and theirs with 3rd class or dropout pays their salaries, they are the bourgeois.During my days in primary school, my teacher told us we are the leaders of tomorrow, my older brother testified; he was told the same thing during his primaries, funny enough till today those that rule then are still the one ruling, if not them then their children. Just like one late party leader who metamorphosis state politics to family inheritance to an extent at which he wants .Oh youth of our time, we are all afraid to die for our rightYet we die shamefully day by day, those who fold their handsBelieving they are not concern, their children will suffer for the nonchalant. We need help in our habitat, we need revolution on our land, because I see know reason why everybody knows fact and still have to keep on with their ludicrous gimmic"we know he's good but he can't do it".....plz don't get me twisted am not a potician and I don't pray to be ..Written by Adebayo Michael Ademola |

When we can no longer differentiate a church from a social gathering, and all what we do in church is to just have fun. When we can’t differentiate a chorister from a harlot, and an usher is not different from a waiter. When the church is no more conducive where shall we go? When worship session in a church is just like a disco night and we cant differentiate a pastor from a comedian. When salvation message is no longer the order of the day but prosperity and entertainment message is now the core course. When the church is no more conducive where shall we go? When prayer warrior now have to go to tongue- speaking school for utterances, and deliverance and healing session is now like MTH 201 to be taught and learned. When pastor have to pause for members to clap and shout during sermon in enthusiasm, and all what we now gain from preaching is now new vocabulary and word usage. When the church is no more conducive where shall we go? When the church of God is now an exhibition ground for the latest designer jackets and hats. And those new convert can no longer come to church for the fear of being inferior. When the tithe and offering in church become the yard-stick for growth, and the little donations from the faithful member have to suffer for senior pastor’s birthday. When the church is no more conducive where shall we go? When fund raising is now disguised and referred to as revival. When the number of souls being lost from the church is higher than gained souls Where shall we go is the question right; But never a rhetoric one. Where we can go is simply the feet of the old rugged cross to plead for genuine spiritual revival of the church of our Father. Someone sent this to me and I found it thought provoking and beneficial enough to share. |

The good people of Kwara State have been yoking under the tyranny ofthe Saraki Family for several decades. They have yoked for so long thatit seems that suffering in subjugation has become their second nature. Others often joke about their supposed docility and assume that this has been responsible for their inexplicable acquiescence to brutal subjugation, enslavement and endless denigration by a single family that has held them to ransom for so long without them being able to revolt or do anything about it.While it could be easy to pillory the people of Kwara State, especially theYoruba majority, for not having found a way to liberate themselves from the tyranny of the Saraki family, it would amount to intellectual masturbation to divorce their dilemma from their unfortunate history inwhich treachery and perfidy has played a prominent role. That part of their history which is better wished away but ought not to be forgotten for them to be able to chart a way forward for themselves and their future generation.Records show that, the fate of Kwara people has stubbornly remained stagnant as far as the struggle for freedom from tyranny of the Saraki family was concerned, not because they have not put up any resistance, but because the Nigerian State had collaborated with a political carpetbagger and his scions to exploit and manipulate the system to hold them down. This was in return for loyalty to the despicable oligarchy that has fostered corruption at the center, moralized immorality and ensorcell the rest of Nigeria and as a result, checkmatedthe crossover of a fully endowed country to greatness in the comity of nations. The nature and character of the Nigerian state – structurally and psychologically antithetical to progress and development – has not experienced any fundamental change by the advent of President Mohammed Buhari. Buhari’s second coming has been made possible bya disoriented, confused, incompetent and kleptomaniac Ijaw man thrusted into power and greatness but found himself utterly unpreparedand as such fumbled woefully. His name is Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GEJ). This man unwittingly created the template for the issues that were used to campaign against him, the most important of which was and still is corruption against which Nigerians have declared a war and mandated President Buhari to lead same. What has this got to do with the enslavement and subjugation of the Kwarans by the notorious Saraki family? The functional relationship of the above antecedents to the current possibilities for the freedom of the subjugated Kwarans lays in the fact that the Saraki family has grown comfortable in its heinous acts of shepherding Kwarans. The family, by the time of 2015 elections, feels unassailable and invulnerable. It could not fathom that anything could happen that could change the tide against it. The mechanics of the Saraki family’s domination still remained essentially the same: kowtowing to the North who had always helped its patriarch to maintain his hold on the State and its unfortunate people. With the coming of President Buhari, the scion of the family and the current “godfather” of the family, “Senator” Bukola Saraki, did not anticipate that he (Buhari) could be different. His calculation was conventional that President Buhari being a Fulani would play the usual game, condone his (Bukola’s) excesses and allow him to continue to ride roughshod on the laws and the fortunes of the people of Nigerians as his father did, and he had also done for long in Kwara. His confidence appeared to have been buoyed by the reported intervention of Emir of Sokoto to facilitate his emergence as the Senate President as publicly attested to by Speaker Yakubu Dongara.Absent in Bukola’s calculation was the dynamics of the milieu outside the confines of Kwara which were crying for change and seeking an end to kinetic kleptomania, conspicuous consumption and contumelious corruption that had turned the country into a laughing stock. The dynamics which were appropriated by opportunistic and corrupt politicians were used to convince Nigerians that Buhari was the answer. Their objective was not really to fight corruption but to gain power and further enrich themselves. In the course of this, they failed to take cognizance of what is called the X factor. All of these politicians are now contending with, and may still contend with, unintended consequences. But unknown to the purveyors of greed, while greed could be enormously rewarding, it also destroys devastatingly. Thus Bukola, working with the old assumptions, aligned himself to another odiously corrupt Fulani man and an international criminal wanted in the United States of America for money laundering and corruption, in Abubakar Atiku, the Vice President under Chief Olusegun Obasanjo-Onyejekwe. Bukola allegedly conspired to forge the Senate rules to install himself as the Senate President. But his luck ran out because his greed befuddled his thinking process, fueled his arrogance, primed his impunity and seeped into his inebriated consciousness. He didnot know when to stop and think of others. He was still thinking in the context of the mechanics of his domination of Kwara State where he had used the system to subjugate everyone. He misfired. The rest is now history.Late Olusola SarakiBut the trajectory forthis history despite being long, has yet toconclude. This struggle to seek liberation from the Saraki’s family tyranny started between the first generation political “godfather” , the father of Bukola, the late Oloye Olusola Saraki and late Governor Adamu Atta who spearheaded the firstrebellion. He was unsuccessful because Saraki knew how to beg his enemy to defeat another enemy, the usual Afonja style. But it was this same President Buhari that ended that victory of Oloye Saraki in December 1983 when the government of Alhaji Shehu Shagari was overthrown. But the struggle to overthrow the tyranny of the Saraki family got a new lease of life in1999 when another hitherto political “son” , Muhammed Lawal, itched seriously to come into his own, at least so it seemed. This struggle for liberation in Kwara had many facets to it:I. The questions of physical development of Kwara State as it were.II. The empowerment of average Kwarans and other Kwaran elites or the lack of itIII. The question of whether a single family was entitled to all the plum positions that the state had.IV. Stemming from the latter was what appeared to be the most serious and important facet of this – the contest between political, social and economic subjugation by Saraki family and the unceasing desire for freedom and liberty by Kwarans. For those who have followed the developments in the State of Kwara since 1979, this struggle was not new. It has been repeatedly waged between Oloye Olusola Saraki on one hand and other Kwarans who reportedly, seek to liberate their people from Saraki’s alleged stranglehold, on the other. The first time this battle was fought (at least openly) in the second republic (1983 elections) as pointed out above, Oloye Saraki won a psychological one by aligning with his traditional enemies in the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) to defeat the rebellious Governor Adamu Attah who contested for a second termon the platform of the National Party of Nigeria (NPN). This realignment brought Chief Cornelius Adebayo, whose brief era was described as “one of themost progressive in the history of Kwara State,” into office, regardless of the fact that it only lasted for a few months. This facet of the contest between “servitude and liberty,” also appears to be the most interesting, and seemingly most volatile of all the facets. It is this facet that had and still has larger and more durable ramifications for the future of Kwara State and its people. The fact that the arrow head of this “struggle for liberation” at the advent of this republic in 1999 was Mohammed Lawal, a Yoruba man from Ilorin, brought new equations, old intrigues and silent yearnings into the struggle. It not only brought into the open, the question of identity and loyalty of the Saraki family to the Yoruba c

The Eagle has the longest life-span of its species. It can live up to 70 years. But to reach this age, the eagle must make a very difficult decision! In its 40th year, the eagle's long and flexible Talons can no longer grab a prey which serves as food. Its long and sharp beak becomes bent. Its old-aged and heavy wings, due to their thick feathers, stick to its chest and make it difficult to fly. Then, the eagle is left with only two options: DIE or go through a painful process of CHANGE! This process lasts for 150 days (5 months) The process requires the eagle to fly to a mountain top and sit on its nest. There the eagle knocks its beak against a rock until it plucks it out. Then the eagle will wait for the new beak to grow back after which it will pluck out its talons. When its talons grow back, the eagle starts plucking its old aged feathers. And after this the eagle takes its famous flight of rebirth and LIVES for 30 more years!! Why is Change needed ![]() In order to survive and live. We too have to start the change process. We sometimes need to get rid of the unpleasant old memories, negative habits and our fixed mind set. Only Freed from the past burdens can we take advantage of the present. If an eagle can make a life saving and life changing decision at the age of 40....why can't we? In order to take on a New Journey ahead, let go of your negative old limiting beliefs. Open up your mind and let yourself fly high like an eagle! When it rains, all birds occupy shelter. But the EAGLE avoids the rain by flying above the clouds....The problem is common to all but the attitude to solve it makes the difference! Don't be afraid of change...accept it gracefully..!!! My questions to you is this! Do you want to fly with the eagles or scratch with the turkeys!! Over to you!

of the C.M.S. He was among the road workers who constructed the road from Igbara-Oke to Ilesa, working as a steamroller driver.
