Southwest is about to implode, thesame Islamic fundamentalism that creept into the northern region from middle east and subsequently destroy the region is about to do same in southwest. Yoruba leaders need to rise up, this is the time to halt the gradual importation of northern VERSION OF ISLAM to yoruba land. |

Peter Obi the prudent man. We understand where u are coming from, u are already wealthy and self made before venturing into politics and hence see no need to embezle the little that the state have. Meanwhile those other guys are nobody and paupers before becoming their states administrators and as such, see it as a means to an end, only opportunity to amass wealth which they will never acquire outside the corridors of politics. |

This statement from these oil majors is a clear vindication that these foreign oil companies in collaboration with evil nigerian gov are deliberately polluting the air, water, land and ecosystem of niger delta region. With a firm belief that nobody can call them to order, nor will anything happen to them or their investment......well, a day of reckoning is fast approaching. Everyday for the thief but one day for the owner. Impunity never last forever.
Who says NDA are not fighting a just course?, when in contrast, nigerdelta region is opposite of what is obtainable in middle eastern regions where oil is drilled. The earlier the nigerdelta people rise up and unequivocally and unanimously order these oil companies to do the needful or get out of their land, the better for them and their unborn children. The damage done already to the ecosystem of these oil communities will take more than 3 decade to be cleaned or reversed,if start today, how much more when such aberration is allowed to continue unabated/unhindered. |

Sweetlemon: Seems like the West, Britain actually is really angry with Buhari. I am yet to figure out exactly why though. Could it be because of Buhari's determination to recover loots from them? Because ever since Buhari announced his visit to the UK to recover looted funds, UK has just been giving Baba bad eye up and down. America started beefing Buhari after he turned down IMF offer. If I got the information correctly, the bulk of the funds for the clean-up is not meant to come from FG but from the polluters. FG just flagged off the program last week, definitely perhaps when Buhari is back or when work implementation of the budget really kicks off, FG will source for their own part of the funds. Then again we all know how Buhari likes to take his time while doing sensitive things involving serious cash so why the hullabaloo from Shell? Why the hurry? Something is def wrong somewhere. Hmmm. Baba God help us o. What is this ILLITERATE saying? |

Southwa.ste states are parasite milking SE and SS region dry. Main reason they are crying more than the bereaved, over the destruction of oil pipelines in nigerdelta by NDA. The evidence to the parasitic nature of the tiger face tribe can be seen by the near insolvency of 5 out of 6 states that make up the zone. Since the drop in the oil revenue accrued to FG and subsequently, low allocation to the states, we've seen how states like OSUN, ONDO, OGUN, EKITI and OYO state could no longer meet up with basic needs of the state. Like salaries and minor infrastructural programs. |

louqas: Why won't people doubt so much misinformation all over the internet these days . No authentic new sources anymore as hungry bloggers seeking to drive traffic to their blogs by sensationalizing every news item ,distorting facts and causing disaffection among tribes in Nigeria. The tribes around the area mentioned in the news (tivs and jukuns) have been at loggerheads with eachother for a long time and this incidence could be another clash between the two tribes. Because you don't want to hear their own voices you will not hear when northern leaders are condemning the fulani herdsmen killing that's why you can be saying they have not condemned it just to score some cheap political points . From your submissions it's obvious you don't know much about northern Nigeria and because the southern dominated press under report the north and whenever they report anything on the north it's stereotyped you can be forgiven your ignorance but adviced to seek more information before making uninformed judgements ^^YORUBA? |
