Matic doesn't have a real competition in that role he's currently occupying. He is the obvious choice to play there because he's the only choice. I wouldn't trust Fred or Tom to occupy that role alongside Pogba and Bruno in midfield

We have one the youngest squad in EPL and we just let go recently Young, Valencia ......

The season we won the league. Cleverly started 18 Epl matches. You can't say he is a main midfielder. Carrick started 34 for example.

Out of 38 started 18...that's almost half of our games... not to talk of sub appearances

Apart from Carrick..mention another midfielder that had more appearance than him...

I had a reason for saying one of our main midfield player

And you can't dispute the fact that TC23 played well in 2012/2013 season

Herrera comes from the Basque region in Spain, their style of football is different from the rest of Spain it's more of direct football similar to the type of football played in England.

OGS tactics is heavily reliant on having a good attacking midfielder to link the midfield and attack.

United is a Bruno-injury away from slipping again.

Only Juan Mata can play that Bruno's position,.....

Herrera was not a bad player, he was just average. There are very few Spanish midfielders that bereft of technique and skill.

I told people here that Herrera was bang average but people were misled by his pashun. He is showing himself to be what i always said he was, a squad player in any title challenging side.
You can't win titles with Herrera as you main CM. If we had told guys then that Idrissa Gueye was better than him they would have rioted.

We won the league with Tom Cleverly as one of main midfield player....... so I don't know why we can't win the league with Herrera

I noticed that AWB will hardly play a high cross. Always want to get to the byline and put in a low cross. Same with Shaw. Maybe it's because they can't put in a threatening high cross (not sure about this), or cross from deep like their counterparts in LFC. Those ones can cross from anywhere. I believe with more deliberate work on their crossing and movements, they will get better. They also need a consistent player in front of them that they can understand and form bond with

Nope.....AWB and Shaw understand the type of attackers we have ( Rashford and Martial)

They are not the best in the air, they prefer the low cross and I believe they all train together at Carrington to perfect the execution ( judging by the amount of goals scored/chance created recently from the low cross)

We don't have Zlatan, Chicharito or Lukaku as our 9..
