IMO this game will show our real progress. People have been touting Chelsea as next season's contenders, but don't include us in the same conversation as them. How can a back 5 of Christensen, Rudiger, Kepa, Azpi, Alonso be title-ready but a back 5 of Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw, AWB, DDG be years behind them? Their midfield is slightly better after Ziyech, but will be comparable if we sign VdB/Grealish. And Tammy, Wener, Pulisic, Willian, Mount are not years ahead of Martial, Rashy, Greenwood, Ighalo, James. And if we sign Sancho, then it's game over in that department. It's utterly mental that people slag off our team but consider Chelsea a title threat next season. This FA cup tie will be crucial to send a message.

Pogba was playing in a deeper role and not that he was losing the ball trying to find a clean pass to unlock the defense, but he was losing the ball trying to dribble. Doesn't look the same to me

In City, their off the ball movement is very great, everyone is moving around and opening for passes in advanced positions. KDB isn't that great in his national team. In the last world cup, he wasn't that successful with his passes and many judged him to be a shadow of his real sef. You can check Belgium stats for his pass success rate and compare it to his fellow midfielders or even attackers in the last world cup

Fernandes plays just fine. on a personal level, I'd change nothing about his style.
I'd rather have Shaw making constant decoy runs around the back trying to create something and losing the ball multiple times, than passing to Maguire 90% of the match.
almost every chance we've fashioned since the game against Wolves have a Bruno involvement somewhere because he tries to quicken the pace of attacks every time he's on the ball, why would any manager want to change that? especially in a team that was very pedestrian when trying to be inventive and created very little (when Pogba was out) before the arrival of Bruno.. if he attempts to change his game, that's the manger saying he should be more conservative. not a chance.
