My question was not answered ooo!

It was NOT an advice. It's the rule once you are in Christ.

Does that answer your question?

plappville: Was Paul saying God (speaking) through Him or He was advising them personally?
I asked because, we see some verse when He will say, (its from me) and other He will say (from the Lord) so which one? Thanks alot.

Not putting yourself in bondage of whatever was in the law(old testament law) is actually a core
package of the new covenant. Paul felt very very strongly about this. This is what he has to say
about those pushing the tenets of the law:

Gal 5:12 I wish those people who are bothering you would add castration to their circumcision. (ERV)
Gal 5:12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you. (KJV)

plappville: Paul certainly cant be refering to the Sabbath God holy day as weak and Useless.

To put it politely, he was just trying to say making certain days special is irrelevant.
No day is special. Just like no place of worship is special. For emphasis here is colossians in KJV

Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

He was talking to new converts here abi? People who used to have thier own pagan feast, laws etc garding them before Paul preach Christ to them. So how will Paul say the laws of God are useless if He was not refering to thier Pagan rules??

What happened in Galatians was that some Jews started preaching circumcision and Moses' Law.
Paul was actually referring to laws of Moses and NOT pagan rules. You may need to read the whole of chapter 3 through
5 to get a good grasp of that.

Gal 5:1 We have freedom now, because Christ made us free. So stand strong in that freedom. Don't go back into slavery again.
Gal 5:2 Listen! I, Paul, tell you that if you start following the law by being circumcised, then Christ cannot help you.
Gal 5:3 Again, I warn everyone: If you allow yourselves to be circumcised, then you must follow the whole law.
Gal 5:4 If you try to be made right with God through the law, your life with Christ is finished--you have left God's grace.
Gal 5:5 I say this because our hope of being right with God comes through faith. And the Spirit helps us feel sure as we wait for that hope.
Gal 5:6 When someone belongs to Christ Jesus, it is not important if they are circumcised or not. The important thing is faith--the kind of faith that works through love.
Gal 5:7 You were doing so well. Who caused you to stop following the truth?
Gal 5:8 It certainly wasn't the one who chose you.
Gal 5:9 Be careful! "Just a little yeast makes the whole batch of dough rise."
Gal 5:10 I trust in the Lord that you will not believe those different ideas. Someone is trying to confuse you. Whoever it is will be punished.
Gal 5:11 My brothers and sisters, I don't teach that a man must be circumcised. If I do teach circumcision, then why am I still being persecuted? If I still taught circumcision, then my message about the cross would not be a problem.
Gal 5:12 I wish those people who are bothering you would add castration to their circumcision.
Gal 5:13 My brothers and sisters, God chose you to be free. But don't use your freedom as an excuse to do what pleases your sinful selves. Instead, serve each other with love.
Gal 5:14 The whole law is made complete in this one command: "Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself."

You can see that, that was NOT any pagan rules he was talking about. You can read thos verses up in other translation. That
translationis Easy-To-Read Version (ERV)
Programming / Dear Programmer, I Have An Idea by expertfingers(m): 10:53pm On Oct 19, 2012

I received an email today:

Hey Myles,

Was just hanging out with ***** this weekend and he mentioned your programming expertise and the fact that you might be taking time off in the coming month. I am resigning from my job in the next week to work on a startup idea for [insert description of app here]. I have effectively no programming experience and have been looking for a programmer to work with me on this project. If this is something you'd be interested in - or if you know someone who would have an interest in working on this kind of project - please let me know. You can also contact me on my cell: (*** *** ****). Thanks a lot man, *****.

My response

Hi *****, Great to hear from you - I hope all is well.
Your project sounds exciting, and I'm always glad to discover that people I know are feeling entrepreneurial. The world needs more of this attitude.
While ***** is correct that I have some programming experience and am not working for the next few weeks, I really can't afford to take on a project like this. I already have too much to get done and not enough time - I'm sorry.
Here are some thoughts however:
- The reality is that I get 3 or 4 emails per week similar to this one. In the current tech environment, any programmer worth their salt and known to be somewhat available is also getting these emails.
- If you want to snag a developer you're going to have to bring some value to the table. The developer is going to be asking himself, "why do I need you to execute this idea?" I could just build it myself..
- So, either you need to:

Have some way to pay the developer.
Have an impressive track record of expertise / success in the relevant industry.
Have considerable technical skills.
Have considerable design skills.

I don't want to dishearten you. I really look forward to seeing your app on the front-page of techcrunch : )
Good luck,
Myles

This kind of idea is the reason why programmers(especially, freelancers) get broke.

plappville:

Who said that?

Gal 4:9 But now you know the true God. Really, though, it is God who knows you. So why do you turn back to the same kind of weak and useless rules you followed before? Do you want to be slaves to those things again?
Gal 4:10 It worries me that you follow teachings about special days, months, seasons, and years. I fear that my work for you has been wasted.
[ERV]

That was Paul the Apostle speaking...More relevant verses:

Col 2:16 So don't let anyone make rules for you about eating and drinking or about Jewish customs (festivals, New Moon celebrations, or Sabbath days).
Col 2:17 In the past these things were like a shadow that showed what was coming. But the new things that were coming are found in Christ.

The term tithe or tithing in new testament Church of Christ
is a misnomer.

Critical look of the book of Acts(of the Apostles) where the foundation of
the church was laid shows there was no reference to tithe.

However there was giving. Giving to spiritual leaders, widows, strangers
and the poor etc. This giving was based on freewill and NOT a mandatory percentage.

I have no problem with tithing because I know the church needs money for its various operations
but one gets worried when you hear things like, "If you do not tithe things will be tight for you"!
Or when you hear, "You will bring curse upon yourself".

Giving should be out of love and honour for God. It should not be out of FEAR!

Programming / Re: Why Do Seun Dont Like Php And Mysql Programmers by expertfingers(m): 12:11pm On Sep 21, 2012
Seun: The next contest won't have any programming language restriction; you will be free to use any language you like.
However, PHP really leaves a lot to be desired: http://me.veekun.com/blog/2012/04/09/php-a-fractal-of-bad-design/

That article was written by a good programmer that is just too full of himself.

BTW, if he was not using PHP he couldn't have known so much about it.
Webmasters / Re: We Can Have Great E-payment Platform by expertfingers(m): 12:55pm On Sep 20, 2012
If they intended to come together, on what platform would that be?

So far, there is no such unifying platform.
Webmasters / Re: Broke Professional Webmaster: Should I Change Career? by expertfingers(m): 11:53am On Sep 20, 2012
winexviv: Good day everyone.
I'm a professional webmaster with over 4 years in active experience coding several websites and also a programming assistance to several people and firms.
The sad thing is that i work as a freelancer to several BIg companies but i'm still very broke. Most times people think i'm a millionaire in dollars because of the type of work i do but within myself i know i am not close to that.
My agents keep promising to pay while i handle big jobs but i cant see the pay coming. I'm thinking whether to pic up an entirely different career so i can afford to live a comfortable life. Pls kindly advice

Getting broke is not about what you do, you can get broke in any career...even nations(Nigeria inclusive) get broke and
had to borrow money.

However getting broke is more common to a freelancer, it does not matter if you are using .NET or Java or Erlang! I have met
guys who do only Joomla and are doing real good. As a full-time freelancer, sometimes you make out like a bandit with a successful bank robbery(money flowing from everywhere), then suddenly things can go dry.

What you need to stay afloat is good
1.financial management and business acumen.
2. Right people, right timing and right projects.

Having said all that, you are already in a fix and you need a quick fix. A man that is thirsty does not need to learn the fundamentals
of thirst but water. You need right now is job or a project with a down payment. Once you have that, you can start applying
the economic principles on this thread.

Kudos to those that have given you offers, they are the real heroes here.
