Spare us the sermon; after all that's why we voted out GEJ and his clueless team. Don't start your term in office with excuses.

That was not excuse. That was proper analysis of the
situation on ground. Anybody taking a new job has to do that.

Why is he telling us? It's called accountability.

Politics / Re: Lets Analyze This Trekking Guy's Journey From Lagos To Abuja...!!! by expertfingers(m): 1:14pm On Apr 21, 2015
adanny01:
I dont think he followed the route shown on the map by OP. He passed through Suleja so he definitely didnt pass through Lokoja but came through Minna and probably Kwara.

The most probable route is Lagos - Ibadan - Ogbomosho - Ilorin - Jebba - Mokwa - Bida - Madalla - Abuja which is 737km by car at 75km/hr average.

Assuming a human walks 5km/hr, it will take 147.4 hours. Of course a human cant walk all that hours without stopping or resting. Assuming he rested at night and walked 6am to 6pm which is 12 hours, he will take at least 12.3 days to get to Abuja. I heard he spent 2 days in Suleja due to blisters on his feet. A friend told me he personally saw him approaching Suleja on Saturday. So he probably traveled about 15days including the two days he rested in Suleja minus calculative errors due to his walking speed, route start/stop times and days he may have rested in other places.

This begs for more questions:
1. Was he walking consistently for 12 hours each day?
2. Where was he resting each night?
3. How did he handle those areas that have no inhabitants?
4. Was he wearing the same sweatshirt? How come it was not dirty?
5. How come he was looking so fresh when he hit Abuja?

I believe it's possible but the time frame and some other things do not just add up!

This is by far one of the most sensible comments on this matter. calling for calmness is a moral and patriotic thing to do and Chimamanda should know better.

Write-ups and speeches that will continue to fan the ember of discord is not in the interest of anybody.

Enough people have spoken out against the Oba's speech already. It's time to move on before this degenerates into something else.

Let's live peacefully so long as we are together.

Ambode will win with landslide victory even with or without your votes. The oba made the comment not Ambode, like you said PEJ made stoning statement but PEJ is the wife of GEJ.

Oba and Ambode are two different people not related by blood or marriage.

As for Joke Silva, she said the right thing. If the Ndigbos at the gathering didn't take it serious so what's the wahala all about?

The Oba was just angry at Igbos towards their attitude at the presidential and he's worried cos he want continuity in Lagos and it is only Ambode that can do that.

Joke Silva just made sense. She deserves a Nobel Prize smiley

It is obvious we play regional politics in the country so PDP will still remain a force to reckon with as they would likely retain states in the SE and SS.

But like i say always they need to re-brand and change that name - PDP, cos pple are allergic to hearing it.
They can change to POP, PLC or PMS grin

Can you compare GMB Speech to that of GEJ? All you bias and blind APC e-supporters. I can hardly hear what Buhari says when ever he opens his mouth, yet you guys are going about picking on Mr president's accent. GMB is someone that could not call the full meaning of his party APC (all progressive confidence.... a dull man he is) during his interview with Aljazeera but you guys would rather down play such error and attack a sitting president's speech which is clearer than the person you are supporting. SHAME ON ALL YOU APC SUPPORTERS that would rather turn your face to the other side when you notice GMB flaws and come as a bull dog to attack GEJ; BLIND AND DULL AND BAIS AS YOUR PRESIDENTAIL ASPIRANT AND SPONSORS....

Madam slow down!

No allusion to accent here but ability to deliver punch lines to questions you are already aware of.

Whoever wins is still my president, don't get it twisted.

maestroferddi:
Is Prof Osinbajo slow in simple comprehension or what?

Jonathan was explicit in explaining himself.

He stated that he had a parley with a former CJN on the incidence of corruption/crime.

He posited that Justice Mustapha disclosed that over 70% of the cases under the judge's purview were actually outright theft being branded as corruption. He was making a case that what people normally give the appellation of corruption are nothing short of thievery.

Instead of branding a public official guilty of misappropriation as corrupt, he was suggesting that a more apt or grievous term should be applied. Let the guilty official be addressed as the thief that s/he is so as to serve as a deterrent to others.

So what is difficult for this APC man to understand?

Truth be told you are better at putting GEJ's thoughts together than GEJ himself.

If only GEJ was this articulate,maybe....

I don't see a contradiction, rather I see an explanation.Osinbanjo says 720,000 will be created "within the first year" in partnership with the states.36 states each employing 20,000 is 720,000.now the partnership with states doesn't limit the FG's efforts which was why he mentioned expanding the frontiers of agriculture which can generate limitless employment.so like I said,I don't see a contradiction.osibanjo simply gave a further explanation so his "720,000 jobs within the first year" is like a minimum.a certainty that will then be improved upon to get to 3million

May GOD bless your brain. You deserve to be a minister.

I have read through initial posts by @upmanagers again. I think I understand everything now.

one question: Is it possible to have more than the standard benefits, even if it means paying more premium?
Health / Re: Nhis(national Health Insurance Scheme) by expertfingers(m): 5:33pm On Jan 11, 2015
Gboliwe:

The NHIS caters majorly for the formal sector with the numerous HMOs as the middle man. The HMOs on their part caters 100% to every other class, employed and unemployed and they are all regulated and must meet the NHIS standard

Does this mean NHIS deals directly with people in formal sectors only and uses HMOs as middle man to interact with other sectors?

By formal sector I assume you mean public sector. I hope that's right.
Health / Re: Nhis(national Health Insurance Scheme) by expertfingers(m): 3:41pm On Jan 11, 2015
upmanagers:

NHIS is the regulatory body and that's of of the difference between NHIS and the HMO's.
Also NHIS is nationwide, allows a principal in the formal sector chose 2 different hospitals for themself and their family in 2 states.
NHIS enrollees are able to receive treatment in any accredited faciliies that is not their's on emergency cases. Etc

Just to be clear: are you saying NHIS is the regulatory body but also provides its own insurance
plan as well?

What do you mean by a principal in the formal sector?

Sorry if my questions are too many. I found myself in position of recommending health plans to
some families and NGOs. I have only been involved with Hygeia and AVON which cover you and your
spouse including four(4) children. I am trying to gather as much information as possible.

Thanks for your time.

I started this topic to educate and enlighten those that wanted to no more about NHIS....

NHIS is a health insurance plan programme for every individual in Nigeria. Our offices in lagos
> Lagos Zonal office: 443, Herbert Marculay way, yaba.
> Ikeja state office: 112, awolowo way, balogun bus stop, ikeja.

Please I have two questions:
1.What is the difference between NHIS and the health insurance
plans provided by bodies like AVON and Hygeia?

2. Is there a regulatory body for all these health insurance plan?

Thanks.

what type of bureaucracy are you talking about?
This is a former general for crying out loud...

The certificate is said to be with the military not the school!

I am not Buhari's spokesman, just responding to your comment about the duration it takes to get things done in Nigerian Institution.

2. There are so many distractions, adverts, heavy data consuming graphics that can be implemented with CSS and still look great.

3. GTbank till date is unable to securely implement their payment gateway- GTPay.
The gateway is very insecure as there is absolutely no webservice or API to query transactions till date.
They expect the developer to login to their online account manually to verify orders, though they forward transaction statuses back to your return URL, They implemented this on the clientside. (imagine forwarding successful transaction details back to merchants with the help of the client's browser...lol learners.)

5. Logging users out every 60 seconds of inactivity is not security sir, so also is disabling right clicks, At times, we always want to copy account numbers by simply right clicking.
You only end up giving me extra work to do by having to navigate to where the disable javascript is in my browser.

I agree very strongly with your points I quoted above. Very thoughtful of you to put it in writing.

sharks776: Let me remind you that it is not just going to the
ATM once in a day that matters or they are
talking about, but how many withdrawals you make.
for instance, assuming you organize yourself
properly like you said and decided that you need
N100,000. Tell me is there any ATM machine that
will allow you to withdraw N100,000 at once? the
answer is NO, you will need to make at least 5
withdrawals (on average) which counts or translate
to using the ATM FIVE TIMES ( a limitation on how
many withdrawal we can make) so why say people
make multiple withdrawal when u don't allow them
to withdraw N100,000 at once. greed at its peek!

When you need to withdraw up to 60000 and above, go walk into the banking hall. You will have peace of mind.
