* Covid-19 global lockdown. Planes grounded for weeks, cars parked, industries/factories shut down around the world. Air Pollution had dropped globally due to this, like the planet is healing itself. People living in some parts of India are seeing the Himalaya mountains crystal clear for the first time in decades. This happened after the coronavirus quarantine reduced the amount of pollution in the country and helped the air clear up a bit. https://www.boredpanda.com/himalayas-mountains-coronavirus-pollution-levels-drop/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic

SarkinYarki:I learnt most sniper rifles, when you fire, wind makes the bullet go off target. So snipers will have to study the the wind direction, curvation and some factors before taking their shots. Likely this rifle has been designed to make long range target easier. |
SarkinYarki:The thread never said 'Rifle with the longest Range' A Canadian in Iraq killed from 3,540m away. I have the thread. The Deadliest termed could be accuracy or anything. |
Mhimi007:And the courses you mentioned are calculations. Im not a science. I don't like calculations. |
Biingoo:According to the source, i think it includes those school offering aviation related courses and not direct flight training. |
Mhimi007:Be serious o, all the best. |
Funjosh:Lol |
martyns303:Will try and post the website where i got that. Learnt the major courses are science(Physics, mathematics) related. |
It fires a 408-inch Cheyenne Tactical round at 900meters per second from the barrel, almost triple the speed of sound

The material of the bag compartment is made entirely from alligator tongue. This is 'complimented by the human spine handle and raw edge finishes. Pultra said that the bones were 'medically sourced from Canada with papers' and suggested it was from a company licensed to trade human specimens, which were donated to medical science but are surplus. His life seems to range from lounging on superyachts, private jets, cars and to posing beside a gun-wielding tribe in Ethiopia (pictured)

The average salary of a Nigerian pilot depends on a number of factors. How experienced the pilot is, the Flying hours (how many hours he/she has flown), and Pilot’s personal ranking Rating types Company (the airline the pilot works for) Every new pilot (who has no experience and has just graduated from an aviation college) usually has a NCAA license (it is called CPL or Commercial Pilot License) but does not have a rating yet. He/she may have problems with finding a job right after the graduation and can only hope for ₦200,000 to ₦500,000 if lucky(in a good airline company) per month. This can only happen if the employer will send their new pilot to Type Rating courses. Pilots who are first officers (FO) and senior first officers (SFO) meaning they do have their Type Rating can expect their salaries up to ₦800,000 per month. In their situation, the amount of money they are paid absolutely depends on the company that offers them a job, their experience and flying hours. Salary of Captain, Local captains can expect a higher salary than new pilots. Their average monthly salary depends on the company and their working hours. Depending on these factors, these Nigerian pilots might be paid from ₦500,000 to ₦1,500,000 Naira a month. International captain/pilot flying for international companies can earn ₦2,000,000 per month.

How long does it take to become a pilot. It takes a lot of time to turn into a professional pilot. You have to spend several years in school, learn how to fly and earn your flying hours. A pilot diploma is a good document that can positively influence the aircraft company to hire you. Besides studying for 4 years, you have to earn from 40 to 4000 hours if you wish to receive a certificate and get a job. The big companies are ready to hire only pilots with diplomas, certificates and at least 4000 hours of flight. Before you can become a captain or first officer, you will have to work as co-pilot for several years. Only experienced pilots can receive a higher job position. Companies have to be sure that their passengers are in the safe hands of a well-trained captain with many years of professional flights.

Nigerian pilot certificates: Stage 2 There are two main certificates you have to get if you wish to be a pilot: 1. Medical certificate 2. Aviation certificate You can get several types of each certificate. If we are talking about your medical document, it can differ depending on your aircraft category. For example, those Nigerians who are looking to work as private pilots might need a third or second class document. Those who will become commercial pilots will need to get the first class document. Besides having an up-to-date medical certificate, it is necessary to get your aviation document to be eligible for flying on private and commercial jets and airplanes. Here are the types of aviation certificates you will need to get if you wish to become a Nigerian pilot after graduating from one of the aviation schools: CFI - while this document is not required when you wish to work for a private or commercial company, Certified Flight Instructor is a nice option for college students who want to become flight instructors, teach others to fly and earn more flying hours (which is good for their future job) IR - Instrument Rating, this document is must-have for every pilot as it proves that a person can control the plane in case of bad weather and different problems or situations. PPC - Private Pilot Certificate, which is needed by every person who wants to fly on a private small plane. CPC - Commercial Pilot Certificate, which is required by every Nigerian who is looking to work for a commercial company and control civilian aircraft. This document is only available to people who are 23 years old or older.

There are several main stages of becoming a pilot. Aviation schools in Nigeria: Stage 1 Before you choose your aviation school, you have to learn the following important things about your future profession: 1. You will study a lot to become a pilot. 2. You will have to pay a lot for your education. How much does it cost to study for a pilot? The special aviation schools in Nigeria can cost ₦7,000,000 - ₦9,000,000. This is very expensive, but if you choose to go abroad (United States or South Africa) and study, then you will have to pay way more. Nigeria Civil Aviation Training Centre (NCAT), Zaria is one and cost ₦8,000,000 - ₦9,000,000. You can get state or political sponsorship or find an airline company that can pay for your studies, offer you a scholarship or financial support (in return, you will have to work for it after graduation) and minimize your expenses. Another option is going through the Nigeria Defense Academy, then join Nigerian Air force training. There are more than 35 aviation schools in Nigeria. When the time comes to choose, make sure it is officially approved by the Federal Aviation Association shortly known as FAA. Every school has its own set of rule. At your school, you will be studying theory, mathematics, physics, Geography and have regular classes (While instruments will do the vast majority of the things you will learn in school, but you still will need to know what to do in case they fail or malfunction. You will need to know how to do things like plot a course from A to B, calculate safe flight weights, and calculate altitude density). You will also have to practise. For about a year or two years, you should get real flight lessons to learn how to fly and fly some hours.

Being a pilot(esp.International pilot) is awesome as you tour, see, and explore the globe. According to research by aerospace giant Boeing, the world will need an additional thousands of qualified pilots in years to come. As people across the globe continue to fall in love with travel, demand is skyrocketing, especially in expanding markets such as Asia-Pacific. https://www.legit.ng/1185026-how-a-pilot-nigeria.html

TheManOfTheYear:That 9m will be for the PPL, Private Pilot License, not Commercial Pilot License (CPL). |
PalmOilDealer:You're right, but people are not taking that path because it cost MILLIONS of Naira, thousands of flights hours and years to be certified Commercial Pilot/Captain. Had the dream but gave up. |
The Prime Minister said staff nurse Luis Pitarma, 29, and ward sister Jenny McGee, 35, watched over him for 48 hours, giving him the vital care he needed. Ms McGee, who is in her 30s, has been in the UK for eight years after undertaking her Overseas Education (OE) here then moving to St Thomas' in central London. Senior staff nurse Luis Pitarma, is the medical professional who cared for the Prime Minister as he battled the virus.

* He recognized efforts of everyone, to the cleaners and cooks. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson released an Easter announcement online after being released from the hospital, recovering from COVID-19. Read the full transcript of his speech. Good afternoon. I have today left hospital after a week in which the NHS has saved my life. No question. It’s hard to find words to express my debt, but before I come to that, I want to thank everyone in the entire UK for the effort and the sacrifice you have made, and are making. When the sun is out and the kids are at home, when the whole natural world seems that its loveliest and the outdoors is so inviting, i can only imagine how tough it has been to follow the rules on social distancing. I thank you because so many millions and millions of people across this country have been doing the right thing. Millions going through the hardship of self isolation faithfully, patiently, and with thought and care others as well as for themselves. I want you to know that this Easter Sunday, I do believe that your efforts are worth it and are daily proving their worth. Because although we mourn every day, those who are taken from us in such numbers and though the struggle is by no means over, we are not making progress in this incredible national battle against coronavirus. A fight we never picked against an enemy we still don’t entirely understand. We’re making progress in this national battle because the British public formed a human shield around this country’s greatest national asset, our National Health Service. We understood and we decided that if together we could keep our NHS safe, if we could stop our NHS from being overwhelmed, then we could not be beaten, and this country would rise together and overcome this challenge as we have overcome so many challenges in the past. In the last seven days, I have of course seen the pressure that the NHS is under. I’ve seen the personal courage, not just of the doctors and nurses, but of everyone, the cleaners, the cooks, the healthcare workers of every description. Physios, radiographers, pharmacists who kept coming to work, kept putting themselves in harm’s way, kept risking this deadly virus. It is thanks to that courage, that devotion, that duty and that love that our NHS has been unbeatable. I want to pay my own thanks to the utterly brilliant doctors, leaders in their fields, men and women, but several of them for some reason called 'NICK', who took some crucial decisions a few days ago, which I will be grateful for the rest of my life. I want to thank the many nurses, men and women whose care has been so astonishing. I’m going to forget some names, so please forgive me, but I want to thank PO LING and SHANNON and EMILY and ANGEL and CONNIE and BECKY and RACHEL and NIKKI and ANNIE. And I hope they won’t mind if I mention in particular two nurses who stood by my bedside for 48 hours when things could have gone either way. They’re JENNY from Zealand Invercargill on the South Island to be exact, and LUIS from Portugal near Porto. And the reason in the end my body did start to get enough oxygen was because for every second of the night they were watching, and they were thinking and they were caring and making the interventions I needed. So that is how I also know that across this country, 24 hours a day, for every second of every hour, there are hundreds of thousands of NHS staff who are acting with the same care and thought and precision as Jenny and Luis. That is why we will defeat this coronavirus and defeat it together. We will win because our NHS is the beating heart of this country. It is the best of this country. It is unconquerable. It is powered by love. So thank you from me, from all of us to the NHS. Let’s remember to follow the rules on social distancing. Stay at home, protect our NHS and save lives. Thank you and happy Easter.

Sandy Brown had to bury both her husband and son on Friday. Just 25 people were allowed to attend the funeral with everyone having to wear masks. “My two men are gone. I am standing here in the strength of the Lord, not no strength of my own," said Mrs Brown.
|
Both men ended up in intensive care after falling ill with coronavirus. Both men had underlying health conditions with a kidney transplant(father) and asthma(son). Freddie Jr., had known underlying health conditions after he had a kidney transplant in 2012. After having trouble breathing he was placed onto a ventilator despite his wife attempting to prevent the move because it would see him being placed in to a medically induced coma. 'Calm down,' he told her over the phone. 'I'll be fine. It will just be a few days.' Sadly, three days later his lung collapsed and she was called in the middle of the night to tell her that he was about to pass away. She did not make it to the hospital in time and she was even told that she would not be allowed to see her husband's body, but Sandy insisted. 'I'm going in that room,' she told them. 'I don't care what I have to do. I'll sign whatever I need to sign.' Staff dressed her up in protective equipment with a mask, gloves, gown and glasses. According to The Detroit News, Sandy was able to walk up his body, touch his hair and rub his cheek and neck as she said her own farewell. Just one day later, her son who has asthma suddenly became sick with a fever and persistent cough. Two days later, she received a call from the hospital telling her to come immediately. He passed away soon afterwards.
