The man said,

'I promptly introduced the officers to Rambo and we all had a good laugh,' he wrote.

After the deputies left, the man took Rambo to meet the concerned neighbor to explain the incident.

'Afterward, I also introduced Rambo to the neighbor who called in the screaming. She too had a good laugh,' he said.

He revealed that Rambo's startling yells are something he taught the bird as a child.

'Sometimes Rambo yells "help, help, let me out".

Something I taught him when I was a kid and Rambo lived in a cage,' the husband said.

The man quickly returns with Rambo resting on his hand as the deputies light up and laugh at the sight of the green bird.

As the sun rose over Baghdad airport, daylight revealed the twisted remains of one of the vehicles the men had been travelling in. In total, a US drone fired four missiles that struck a convoy of cars, killing the two men and their entourage.

Soleimani had reportedly just arrived to Baghdad on a flight from Syria. Airport logs show a Cham Wings flight arriving from Damascus at 12.34am Friday Baghdad time, but it's unclear whether Soleimani was on that commercial flight or a private charter.

An image which circulated on Iranian media in the aftermath purporting to show Quds commander Qassem Soleimani's hand after the strike in the early hours of Friday.

Two officials from the Iran-backed People's Mobilzation Forces (PMF) said Soleimani's body was torn to pieces in the attack and a senior politician said his body could only be identified by the ring he wore on his left hand.

The ring bears strong similarities to the ruby ring worn on Soleimani's left hand in other photos.

An inmate who escaped from a South Carolina Department of Corrections work crew in 1979 was captured in Delaware on New Year's Day, according to the department.

Jose Chico Romero, 64, had been living under an assumed name when he was first arrested December 28, 2019 after showing Dover police a fake ID, according to Chrysti Shain, director of communications for the South Carolina Department of Corrections.

Police processed and released him under the fake name Arnaldo Figueroa but his fingerprints later came back as a match for wanted Romero.

He was arrested on Wednesday.

He is being held in Georgetown, Delaware, on a fugitive warrant and has waived extradition.

He is also charged with public intoxication, loitering, trespassing, forgery, criminal impersonation and being an out-of-state fugitive.




Romero was serving an 18-year sentence for armed robbery when he managed to escape from a work crew in Anderson County, South Carolina, on December 13, 1979.

After he is returned to the South Carolina Department of Corrections, Romero will be required to serve the remainder of his original sentence, which is about seven years, plus any time added for an escape conviction, Shain said.
