A security guards hut window has been badly damaged by the rioters as smoke spews from fires set around the compound today, with protesters waving flags of the militias part of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF).

Many are supported by Iran.

Iraqi protesters set ablaze a sentry box in front of the US embassy building in the capital Baghdad to protest against the weekend's air strikes by US planes on several bases belonging to the Hezbollah brigades near Al-Qaim.

Demonstrators, including some wearing military fatigues, hurl rocks over the compound walls on Tuesday after they set fire to the barricade.

President Donald Trump has vowed to hold Iran 'fully responsible' for an attack on the US embassy in Baghdad today, where hundreds of pro-Iran militia members stormed the compound in retaliation for American air strikes.

American soldiers inside the embassy have fired tear gas, stun grenades and warning shots at hundreds of fighters who broke down the compound gate and set fires within the complex in the Iraqi capital.

US soldiers could be seen inside the building filmed from the outside by furious protesters who pressed up against the glass taunting the personnel.

Around 100 fires are burning across the state, with up to half as yet uncontained by firefighters and continuing to threaten lives.

The fires have been exacerbated by 40C temperatures and strong winds, creating difficult conditions for the 2,500 firefighters deployed in the field.

About 100,000 people were urged to flee five Melbourne suburbs on Monday evening.

In the worst-affected state, New South Wales, fires have burned more than 4 million hectares (9.9m acres) destroying more than 900 houses.

Across the country, 10 people have died including three volunteer firefighters with most of the casualties in New South Wales.

Faba went on the run before being caught in the city of Coari a week later.

A 13-year-old girl who was sexually abused by her father for four years died while giving birth to his child, police in Brazil have said.

Schoolgirl Luana Ketlen died on December 11 after she was admitted to hospital suffering severe abdominal pains, before medics discovered she was pregnant.

Doctors decided to induce labour and delivered a baby boy who has survived before rushing the girl to a specialist care unit.

She gave birth to a premature baby boy who miraculously survived.

But following delivery, the girl's health took a turn for the worse and test results found she was suffering from multiple complications including cirrhosis of the liver, water on the lungs and low blood pressure

She died en route.

Luana died while being airlifted to a specialist hospital in Manaus, the Amazonas state capital, some 225 miles away (363km).

The wedding took place in the province of Fujian in south-eastern China last week.

The viral clips shows the lovebirds walking down the aisle and then standing on a stage at their wedding banquet at first.

Then the MC is heard telling the crowd 'now we are going to show you the videos of how the newlyweds grew up'.

But seconds later, an X-rated video starts playing from the projector.

The clip later shows the groom accusing the bride on stage 'you thought I didn't know?' and the bride throwing her bouquet at her partner.

They are separated by their family members and friends shortly after.

Hmmm...... something is really strange about this ~~story~~ snake. As far as I know... snakes usually strike and keep it moving. If hungry .. a python would strike.... wrap and swallow whole. But this one striking.... and dragging into bush to I guess ehmmm...... bite off the part it finds juicy before chewing and swallowing. Strange snake...it must be it is suffering from rabies.

Striking and pulling to where to wrap him up conveniently.

Did you read the part he said 'If it had let go of my son when I first punched it, I might have let it go but it was so aggressive.'

He did the best thing sis, he gat no choice and i believed you will do the same to save your kid if you're in his shoes.

Mr Thompson's house in Airlie Beach (pictured) in north Queensland is situated near tropical forest.

Evan Thompson and his family (pictured) recently moved into the Airlie Beach property.

He told Daily Mail Australia that when the snake still tried to go after his son he grabbed it by the tail and yelled for someone to get weapon.

'My mate and my wife went to the toolshed and found a sledgehammer and hit it,' he said.

'If it had let go of my son when I first punched it, I might have let it go but it was so aggressive.'

Clifford was rushed to Mackay Hospital.

The injuries the young boy sustained from the snake attack in Airlie Beach.

Surgery was performed on Friday and Clifford is expected to make a full recovery.

A 15 foot scrub python has attacked a four-year-old boy in north Queensland.

He said screams of his son alerted him when the snake latched on to his son's leg.

The brave father has told of the terrifying moment he saved his four-year-old son from a 15ft scrub python by killing it with a sledgehammer.

Mr Thompson saw the snake with its jaws locked around his son as it tried to drag the terrified youngster away.

Recalling the ordeal, he said: 'Clifford was holding onto the side of the boardwalk and it was pulling him, literally, pulling him under into the bush.

'I ran straight up and punched it at that stage and it let go.

'But as soon as I let go, it curled right back up and bit him again.

So I grabbed it, pretty much, as hard as I could and just bent it back to get it off him out.

He added: 'That thing wasn't going to let go, it wanted to eat my child.'

Mr Thompson told how he then resorted to punching the snake in the head.

He said: 'I punched it in his head and it let go, but within a second or two, it bit him again on the upper right leg, a bit higher than where it got him initially, and it started pulling him off the boardwalk into the bush where it properly would have liked to wrap him up.

'At that stage, it was dragging him backwards and I could see what happened to his leg and it was starting to open him up, and then I knew it just wasn't going to let go, it was too strong, and that's when I grabbed it and grabbed its jaw and try to pry open as hard as I could.'

Mr Thompson said his son managed to get away but the beast came back and tried to grab him again.

He said: 'Luckily he got his leg out and he ran up to the gate on the boardwalk trying to get away, and that was great, but as the snake fell back down in the garden, it just slivered straight back on this side and tried to get at him.'

It was later killed with sledgehammer.

The jihadists were believed to have attacked from Boko Haram's nearby Sambisa forest enclave, said Chibok community leader Ayuba Alamson who confirmed the toll.

Boko Haram terrorists became notorious after they kidnapped 276 schoolgirls in hte town of Chibok (the school is pictured in 2014)

Fifty-seven of the girls escaped shortly after the kidnap. Another 107 have been either rescued or released after negotiations while 112 remain in captivity.

Troops have been stationed in Chibok since the kidnap but deadly Boko Haram raids continue in the area.

The decade-long conflict has killed 36,000 people and displaced around two million from their homes in the northeast, according to the United Nations.

Dozens of fighters driving trucks and motorcycles stormed into Kwarangulum late on Tuesday, shooting fleeing residents and burning homes after looting food supplies.

'They killed seven people and abducted a teenage girl in the attack,' local vigilante David Bitrus said.

'They took away food stuff and burnt many houses before leaving,' he said, adding that a church was also burnt.

A terminally-ill mother is spending her last Christmas with her two daughters.

Jennifer Bell was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) in March after she began noticing problems with her speech.

Ms Bell says she will cherish her final Christmas with her children, aged eight and one, who ask her, 'Mummy when are you going to heaven?'.

Sometimes she will ask 'Mummy when are you going to heaven?' and I just say to her 'nobody knows when God will take us so we have to be happy and make special memories everyday'.

'I explain to her that we are all going to the same place one day and everyone will be together again.

There's a lot of other tech installed in the Arkup too, including a solar panel array and up to 1,000 kWh battery bank that Arkup says is sufficient to power it off-the-grid.

Rainwater is collected from the roof and purified for drinking, and solar panels are used to power the internet, TV, radio and electric cooker.

The home is propelled by a pair of 100 kW (134 hp) electric azimuth thrusters, allowing it to reach 7 knots.
