A mountain gorilla who became a worldwide sensation after posing in a selfie with a park ranger has died in the arms of her 'lifelong friend' who rescued her as an infant.

Ndakasi, who died aged 14, was saved by Virunga rangers when she was just two-months-old after they found her clinging to the lifeless body of her mother who had been gunned down by armed militia hours earlier.

She was later transferred to the park's Senkwekwe Center with a fellow orphaned gorilla Ndeze where the pair rose to internet fame when they appeared in a selfie with park ranger Mathieu Shamavu in 2019.

But after more than a decade of care at the Senkwekwe Centre, the 'beloved' gorilla died following a 'prolonged illness in which her condition rapidly deteriorated', a statement from the park said.

The whole story makes sense although I didn't read it except for the shocking amount of damage done to that vehicle. Bull crap. Pure bulls hit. That's why I don't believe almost everything I read on the web.

There's no way in the world that you'd fall off from a 700ft (I multiplied by 7) building and the fall would wreak half as much damage on a very tiny, rickety motorcycle, much less a vehicle. Haha, haba. Bro, it gets to a height that it really doesn't matter how much further you are at that point - the damage caused would be the same, no different at all.

Take a mighty hammer and start smashing that vehicle from the roof (top part) and then continue ad infinitum with increasing alacrity. You would not successfully do that in few attempts. In a day? I highly doubt.

Most vehicle are incredibly strong, bro. A 700 pounds man would not cause this amount of damage falling off from 35k ft.

The story is a made-up piece of crap.

Where did you see 700ft?

The man survived the fall and was seen writhing in pain on the pavement.

As he stood up, with shards of glass and the broken car roof surrounding him, the man saw that his right arm was broken and asked witnesses. 'What happened?'

Witnesses and workers at the building stated that the man did not work inside the building and it is unclear how and why he was there.

He also refused to give police officers his name, a source said.

'He fell into the car through the sunroof, then climbed out of the car and fell on the ground,' said Mark Bordeaux, 50, who works in the building and saw the aftermath.

'He was trying to get up but people were trying to get him to stay down, "You don't know how hurt you are".

'So he stayed there until the police and ambulances came.

He kept saying, "Leave me alone, I want to die."

A man plunged 100ft from the ninth floor of a high-rise building in New Jersey and somehow survived the fall after landing on a BMW.

The 31-year-old man, who has not been named, slammed through the roof of the black BMW and was seen in a bloodied state as he crawled from the wreckage in Jersey City on Wednesday morning at around 10.20am.

The man had jumped from an open window of the ninth floor of the high-rise building at 26 Journal Square.

She said: 'I did a very stupid thing 42 years ago and I've regretted it ever since. And all I can do now is love him as best I can and see to it that he's happy and give him the quality of life that he really deserves and he's missed all these years.'
