lailo: Which citizen told u they want military rule? Children of propaganda will not seize to amuse Just because a handful of people sponsored by junta protest international interference, so the whole over 20 million people living in Niger want the coupists? Or u are expecting the citizens to troop out and protest against these brutal military coupists, so that they can use them to count scores? What is going on in Niger is a tribal issue where 20% is trying to dominate the rest bcs they control the military and power. Pure tribal and has nothing to do with poor governance. Pls get information. Of what benefits is democracy to the citizens, as far as I am concerned democracy is not designed for sub Saharan Africa. Perhaps will they go to war with other west Africa countries that are experiencing the same military (coup) rule. There is something special about Niger that the west world see in them that actually want ECOWAS countries to fight the country. I will always remember Gadafi how the west purged the citizens against him, now they are feeling it |

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do Churches Still Speak In Tongues Despite Apostle Paul's Teaching by extol1(m): 8:44am On Aug 06, 2023 |
GreatAchiever1: It is because churches has forgotten the teaching of the bible and is now following their own feelings. What is done in churches now is glossolalia(the phenomenon of apparently speaking in an unknown language, especially in religious worship.) which is different from what is in the bible which was xenolilia.(The ability to speak in a language which the individual has not learned.) It seems you know more about this thing. |

The ambulance first, follow by the president, then fire fighter and lastly police. That's how the order should be. In western world, I think in Germany, there's a lane kept on the road for emergency purposes, even as a president you dare not pass lane but in Nigeria, presidential first, follow by police, then others can follow |

Poor African, the west world knows that we are suffering from malnutrition and poverty rather telling us how to be innovative and more advanced in technology, they are giving us food. They know that when they give an African man food and he is satisfied. The west world make him believe that he doesn't have any other problem again. We needs to grow more than this, 70 percent of our problem are our leaders, who only think of embezzlement and greed and 30 percent of our problem is the followers. Imagine countries fighting war giving us food Spit on Africa Wake up from your slumber Africa, we have the capacity to rule the world |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Whats The Worst Experience You've Had At A Job? by extol1(m): 2:19pm On Jul 21, 2023 |
GboyegaD: A boss who thought the organization was his property. He forced us to come to work Monday through Saturday (sometimes on Sunday), curses during meetings (we had meetings everyday), slept with most of the ladies and would harass any lady who wouldn't yield.
In the same office were snitches and ass lockers who would do anything to curry his favor. Worst is that this was a bank people envied.
How I dealt with the situation was by been myself. At some point, he would say he wanted to hear my opinion because he knew they were likely going to be different from his. I also ensured on my part, I was very meticulous and everything was done well.
At some point when I was at the edge of resigning because I felt the environment wasn't good enough, my dad told me to write to HR anonymously so that if I wasn't treated rightly, we have evidence to sue the bank with at the Federal Industrial Court. The HR head asked who I was and I told him I was going to reveal myself at the right time however, every act of injustice I experienced were documented weekly.
As a team lead, I had am assignment I couldn't finish within the two weeks time frame. I was at work on Saturday of the first week from 7am through 10pm. I dismissed my team members around 6pm and told them not to come on Sunday as I wasn't coming. I sent an email asking for more time. I got to work on Monday to see an email asking me to recall the mail for extension and that I was recalcitrant for not coming on Sunday. If I wouldn't recall the email, I should report to HR on Tuesday morning. He copied all and sundry in the email.
My boss had two people that worked with my team in HR and the former head of HR who were his pally. So usually, sending you to HR is a way to break you down because they most times will give you the soft option of resigning instead of termination. In my case, I called the Head of HR and told him what was going on. He asked me to come on Tuesday and he was going to change my department.
That Monday, my unit head, head of audit for our group, and a few others came to tell me my boss wanted to be friends with me, I should apologize etc. For me, it was the nail on the coffin because should I not finish the assignment by that week which I knew was impossible, I will only have empowered him to have something he can use against me in the future.
I went to HR on Tuesday and was moved to another unit. My boss asked my unit head to find 5 queries so that he could finish me. Unfortunately, the two they found couldn't even be used because rather than apologize as many will do in their response to queries, I will rather explain the situation leaving myself out of the query.
In it all, pray for God's favor always. Things dey happen ooo |
