One thing I have learnt about politics is that it keeps changing sides like the tide. One may lose out in an era but gain in the next. For eg,I have read a lot of people's write-ups on how igbos lost in this permutation by aligning with pdp. True. But for many years, yorubas lost out and nobody taunted them when they played opposition. Infact in 2003,PDP swept the whole south west with the exception of Lagos. Thru out yaradua and GEJ's admin, they were no where in the scheme of things. Infact the post of the speaker that was zoned to them was taken by Tambuwal. Nobody taunted them. Now the tide has favoured them and they are taunting others. In 2019,things might change and someothers might gain. Its all for a period. Its all a gamble,if you chose a side and it clicks, good. If it doesn't,you wait for another time. Tele gambled and it clicked. Simple. It could have gone either way. |
Ararume is a political prostitute! He changes party annually. He's one man that the heavens have declared that he will never rule imo state. His hand is filled with..... His 'people say him dey do like this...' |
Alex Ekwueme built the PDP from the G34. Its ideals were noble. It was later infiltrated by the likes of Atiku and Obj who have now killed it after using it for their selfish gains. Though am igbo,I will advice that towards the 2019 election, the chairmanship of the party should be zoned to the south west and given to no other person that Ayodele Fayose. That is one man who can fight dirty enough to wrestle power out of the likes of tinubu. By 2019,his administration would have ended and thus free to assume that role. |
I understand that TA orji, Enyinnaya Abaribe, Col Akobundu etc invaded the INEC state office to force the state INEC boss to accept the results of the LGAs he had earlier cancelled. LGA's that were characterised by heavy electoral malpractice for the PDP candidate. This thus led to a suspension of the collation process. |
None of d above will get it. By d way, soludo isn't in pdp. My prediction: he will serve in buhari's apc. |
He better hurry. This one dey are chasing the pdp agents out from the collation centres,Apc want to change the figures! He should take some reinforcement with him. |
B*R*E*A*K*I*N*G N*E*W*S ARARUME APPREHENDED WITH SENSITIVE ELECTORAL MATERIALS In obvious desperation to deliver the APC in the ongoing governorship election, Senator Ifeanyi Ararume has resorted to what he knows how to do best, manipulating electoral results. The former Senator and perennial governorship aspirant is at the moment helping eagle eyed security agents with information on what he was doing with highly sensitive ballot materials found in his possession around Amaraku junction, in Isiala Mbano LGA of the State. This as four AK 47 ammunition were recovered from his vehicle, and two of his thugs killed as they exchanged fire with the military. It will be recalled that Governor Rochas Okorocha of the APC was alleged to have bribed the former Senator and perennially aggrieved politician from Ishiebu in Isiala Mbano with the sum of two billion Naira. However, Senator Ararume met a brick wall when he tried to commandeer his supporters into casting their votes for the APC, as almost all his supporters walked out on him before he could finish telling them about supporting Governor Okorocha's re-election bid. Afraid that his so much vaunted electoral value will be torn to shreds by the massive shellacking that the APC is receiving in Isiala Mbano, Chief Ararume allegedly resorted to desperate rigging plans, which unfortunately has backfired. There is no doubt that the Almighty God has answered the prayers of the saints, for the salvation of our dear State of Imo, anyone who is found standing on the way of PDP's victory will be crushed, because God has remembered his people of Imo. Lies! |
Rochas Okorocha is a mistake that must be corrected on April 11. |
Thank God people went after him. I wish we all in Lagos will wake up to this. If it were in Lagos, everybody will mind their business and pretend they didn't see it. |
lolaxavier:You guys don't know how to read between the lines. The judgement favoured the governor! The court adjourned to April 16th,meanwhile the tenure of all the house members expire on April 10th while a fresh election for the state house comes up on the 11th of April. So by 12midnight of Friday,April 10,all of them will cease to be house members and thus incapable of impeaching him. So the house members have only today(thursday) and tomorrow to impeach him and the court is adjourning to April 16th. Comprhende?! |
I saw this coming. The South west will taunt the South east over their candidate's success at the polls but won't know the North has bigger plans against them. More to happen in coming weeks. |
All these young boys and girls working from the APC control room,is this the new assignment you've been given? To produce a counter propaganda against Jimi Agbaje and probably use your multiple monikers to spread it before saturday.you have failed. Try another. |
I believe God that they will be found safe. But I don't know this westernization that has hit the inhabitants of Lagos. A couple will have lots of relations in their village who'll gladly take care of their kids and home for just a token, feeding and shelter, relations whom you'll be adding value to their lives by employing them, but they will rebuff all of them and prefer to take in a total stranger whom they don't know anything about or where to start when they disappear. This is one of such consequences. |
APC won the presidency and in less than a week has got the whole nation boiling! |
I stand for Emeka Ihedioha. Onye obula gwazie ndi yard unu. |
Bre:Its been disgusting to say the least. The saddest thing is that most igbos in Lagos voted Buhari/Osibanjo because they believed they had the requirements to change the gross inadequcies of GEJ administration. They didn't vote on tribal lines but on facts and genuine desire for change. But alas, when the results came in and the election won and lost,it was instantly turned into a tribal victory by the yorubas over igbos. Anyway,I saw it coming cos Arthur nzeribe said something in 1993 that I will never forget. He said in 1993,they all worked with abiola to deliver their various states to SDP. They put aside tribal sentiments and worked for abiola's success. But when d results started trickling in and it became obvious that abiola will win, they converged at abiola's house to watch the results and celebrate the victory. But on arrival, they were barricaded off by the yorubas who had turned it into a 'yoruba parapo' affair. Now all my igbo friends who genuinely voted for change are shocked how their votes have become part of a 'yoruba victory over their own igbo'. Very amusing I must say. |
Bre:You are probably one of the most intelligent ladies I have ever read their write-up. I must confess that I had to look up your profile. Quite smart and devoid of the insults that has characterised this Nairaland. Kudos. Quite impressed. |
He is actually a guy who uploads very different lady's photos, claiming to be a female. |
pazienza:May God bless you for this fine and most objective analysis. You got it spot-on. Everything you wrote here is 'at it is'. |
sweetgala:All my igbo friends in Lagos voted buhari and APC because they wanted change from the corruption that had characterized GEJ's govt. But alas, the victory came and the yorubas have now turned it into a tribal victory. Very typical. Arthur nzeribe said something in 1993 that I will never forget. He said in 1993,they all worked with abiola to deliver their various states to SDP. They put aside tribal sentiments and worked for abiola's success. But when d results started trickling in and it became obvious that abiola will win, they converged at abiola's house to watch the results and celebrate the victory. But on arrival, they were barricaded off by the yorubas who had turned it into a 'yoruba parapo' affair. |
kokoA:Let's see how it goes. Igbos party have never been in opposition, the party they support always won. So this will be the first time in the nation's political history. So let's just watch. NCNC-zik, NPN-shagari/ekwueme defeated UPN(awo), 1993 election was annulled, PDP(obj) over Falae of AD/ANPP, Yaradua/GEJ over Buhari GEJ over Buhari CPC |

you're joking right? You and I know igbo politicians cannot never play opposition politics.. They will soon all decamp to APC.
