PoliticsRe: What If Wole Soyinka Is The New Minister For Education? by eyeview: 1:22am On May 30, 2015
The man introduced the first cult in nigeria universities that have split and spiralled into a hydra-headed monster that has caused the death of many of our young undergraduates. Making him oversee that education sector will lead to outbreak of violence over cults supremacy and counter supremacy wars.
He's not fit.

The bible encourages us to pray for our leaders, I think we should start praying seriously for this amechi man. Right before our eyes, the man is gradually losing it.
PoliticsRe: President Buhari At The Mosque For Prayers by eyeview: 4:51pm On May 29, 2015
If it were GEJ that abandoned a state function to attend church prayer session, the whole nation would have come down on him to attack him, calling him all sorts. And the worst is that the attack will come more from fellow christians. Now a muslim has done same and everybody sees I as normal and accept it
PoliticsRe: Photos: Buhari's Son, Daughter & Family At The #inauguration by eyeview: 12:17pm On May 29, 2015
Why were they not there on election day to vote like other youths. Why were they kept abroad while other youths were used to prosecute the campaign. Now the victory has been fought and won and they return to take front seats. This is why I vex whenever I see youths being used by politicians to cause political mayhem.

Why ask that mischevious question? Was she there when Goodluck Jonathan was sworn in?

Not exceptional. Seen lesser politicians with far bigger and sprawling villas as home.

PoliticsRe: Muhammed Buhari, As Governor Of North Eastern State In 1975 (photo) by eyeview: 8:40am On May 28, 2015
midolian:
What about the Niger state PDP guber candidate? The Nigeria politics of today has to do with how much wealth you have acquired and how influential you are..And that's why the young ones are behind.
The Niger PDP guber candidate was born in 1975(40yrs) and yet he is the youngest candidate in the Nation, yet he is now considered a youth but Buhari was governor in 1975 at the age of 33(born in 1942). You see what is happening? The 'youth' age is gradually being shifted into those in their 40's while they ruled in the 20's and early 30's. And sadly the present generation has accepted it as so and thus can't strive for any elective post till they are well into their 40's.
PoliticsRe: Muhammed Buhari, As Governor Of North Eastern State In 1975 (photo) by eyeview: 8:29am On May 28, 2015
I weep for this generation of today. Their birthright have been sold and shared by their fathers.
Look at how young he was as a governor. Imagine if a youth of similar age comes up to contest for governorship today,I can bet that the greatest attack such person will get will be his 'age' and how he's too young to rule and his greatest attackers will be his fellow youths starting with those in Nairaland.
CelebritiesRe: Popular Hollywood Actor Turns Beggar Accuses Colleagues by eyeview: 8:12am On May 28, 2015
This is the major problem with nigeria's so-called celebrities. When the going gets good, they waste their lifes and income on flamoyant lifestyles, they live a life of 'show-offs'. Party, women and booze becomes the order of the day. When the shit hits the fan and all that goes and the consequences of their lifestyle catches up with them, they resort to begging from 'well meaning nigerians' to support and finance their recovery.
That is why I'll rather give that money to a begger on the street or some orphans at an orphanage who has never seen nor squandered wealth than some prodigal celebrity who had and squandered it.

PoliticsRe: Which Nigerian State Can You Say Was Cursed With Bad Leadership? by eyeview: 8:22pm On May 27, 2015
SW: Osun state, Oyo
SE: Abia
Then there are countless unfortunates states in the North east and North west that have been saddled with poor leadership with little or nothing to show the presence of any form of government but somehow their people aren't complaining.

Its for those who have been told millions of time to quit smoking and they have refused, now they are being warned to stay off catching fire and burning to ashes since the petrol that will cause the fire outbreak is more useful than their lifes which they have refused to value.

The zero allocation isn't only for sunday but saturday and monday also. Also watching today being tuesday as there has been none yet.
We also hope the deductions are made from the month's crazy bill to reflect the 'zero allocation' to customers.
PoliticsRe: Fayose, APC Lawmakers Hold Closed-door Meeting In Akure by eyeview: 12:51pm On May 26, 2015
blackpanda:
Are u sure fayose will be sworn in?
And even if he manages to be sworn in, dont forget the election tribunal is waiting for him. The evidence against him is still very much alive. And guess which party will be pushing for his removal: APC! A party that will after May 29 be governed by the same lawmakers.
Sir,fayose is not seeking to be sowrn in. He was sworn in in 2014 and his tenure ends in 2018. The house members on the contrary expires on the 29th of May(3days from now) while a new house starts on the 6th of June. The advantage fayose has is that his party PDP won an overwhelming majority in this election while these APC lawmakers all lost a return bid. So come June6,it will be a house filled with his men and partymembers while these APC lawmakers become ordinary nigerians like you and I.
So you see why he has the edge? Just hold them off for 3 to 10days and they cease to be lawmakers.
PoliticsRe: Fayose, APC Lawmakers Hold Closed-door Meeting In Akure by eyeview: 9:57pm On May 25, 2015
With less than 2weeks to the swearing in of a new assembly, fayose should have completely snubbed them.

Please let us disregard people like the op who are constantly looking for any info to bring igbos to ridicule.
Let it be clear that no igbo man is interested in dictating anything to buhari.
I hope that some people can be mature enough for once by letting igbos be. For once in the history of nigeria, they got an electoral permutation right and other tribes will not rest because of that.

Occultic manipulations. This what people will get when they refuse where they'll hear the genuine word of God but prefer where they'll just get answers and instant miracles.

PoliticsRe: The PDP Chairmanship Position Must Be Zoned To The South East- Ifeduba by eyeview: 3:34pm On May 21, 2015
NaijirianKing:
Nothing stops an Igbo from running, however politics is not that simple. The North wants their turn for Yar'Adua. They will get it under Buhari. However, if Buhari does well and runs again, you have to divide the votes of the North in order to beat him.

So the best way to do that would be to run a popular young Northerner who stands to take away from buhari's base, no Igbo man or woman in PDP can currently do that.

A Northerner can have 2019, then potentially hand off the East after his 4-8 years.
You are thinking in d right direction. Its sad that many aren't seeing it that way. The only way to break APC at the centre is to shop for a candidate that can split the northern vote with him while the south east and south south team up to back a south east VP. That's the only viable option for now. Anyother thing will fail.
PoliticsRe: The PDP Chairmanship Position Must Be Zoned To The South East- Ifeduba by eyeview: 10:53am On May 21, 2015
I am igbo but am strongly against your idea. My submission towards 2019 is as follows:
North east: PDP chairman
North west/central: Presidential candidate
South east: VP candidate
South south: PDP BOT chairman( GEJ )
South west: PDP Vice chairman( fayose)
PoliticsRe: Chief Tony Anenih Set To Resign As PDP Bot Chairman by eyeview: 8:24pm On May 20, 2015
I think they have done their part and hence should give way. I will also urge the PDP to build the new look PDP around professionals, the younger generation and men of impeccable character.

Its this people's way of life, from the least to the greatest of them. Every two months,we'll hear of the discovery of an evil forest in one of their states or the other but alas, that will be the end of the case cos their so called big men and politicians will kill the case.
We'll keep praying that they will turn from their evil ways. Amen.

PoliticsRe: PDP Didn’t Win Elections In S’east – Kalu by eyeview: 2:36pm On May 19, 2015
From the history of Nigeria, the yorubas have always lost out politically, even in 1999 when they voted olu falae, the hausas and igbos(thanks to the gentlemanly ekwueme) voted ib obj. Yet in all their losses, nobody taunted them, nobody called them names and for the first time, they get it right and igbos will not rest for them. All of a sudden, they see themselves as politically savy.
Politics is like a sea wave,it will keep tossing and changing sides. Let it be known today that the south east stood with jonathan and lost with him, we have no regrets for doing so.
As for orji kalu, yes, pdp rigged the Abia election, but it wasn't from APC but from Apga.
Let it also be known to the whole nation that Orji kalu is not our leader, igbos don't accept the practice of one man enriching himself with the state treasury and using the wealth to control the same people. Other tribes can worship such but its highly resisted in igbo land. Kalu is speaking for himself.
We have no apologies voting GEJ. As for the 'sea tide',it hasn't finished turning.
Selah.
