PoliticsRe: Questions For Okorocha, Ngige, Õnù As Buhari Visits The East by eyeview: 8:37am On Apr 07, 2015
Igbos should just vote out the last trace of APC in the east(Rochas) on saturday.
Let them resist the temptation of scattering by defecting.
Let them resist the hand downs from the APC led federal government and fully play the opposition for the next four years. Yorubas did it and they became the hot bride for every party that wanted victory.
The next four years may not be easy but it will be worth it at the end. That's politics, you gain in an era,you lose in another. We wait.
PoliticsRe: Jimi Agbaje Is More Yoruba Than Ambode. by eyeview: 10:30pm On Apr 06, 2015
Even the Oba of Lagos confessed in his audio that Jimi is his blood relation, unlike Ambode who hails from Ondo.
Let the truth be told,85% of the people claiming 'lagosians' and asking other tribes to leave lagos are not from Lagos state.
Like I always say, that you are yoruba and rented a flat somewhere in Lagos doesn't make you a lagosian.
We need to hear the voice of true lagosians and they are for Jimi Agbaje.
For God's sake,Jimi is a true lagosian, not an igbo or hausa man.

Most of you may have been young from the era of Northern muslim Presidents Shagari,Buhari,IBB,Abacha and Abdulsalami. Then the Dodan barraks and later Aso rock witnessed a beehive of activities from visiting Alfas, Almajiris,Imams etc, both local ones and foreign ones from libya, egypt, india, arab nations, chad etc. Their mission: spiritual consultation for the then presidents and head of states.
Constantly we sat infront of our Tvs to watch our presidents travel unceremoniously to saudi arabia for lesser and 'main' hajj on the state resources.
We watched as national policy statements were made at the end of jummat services. When the Sultan Dasuki of sokoto was the protem head of state.
But never in all this did we ever see the muslim brothers attack the presidents and heads of state of fraternising too much with his islamic clerics. Not for once.
Along came Goodluck Jonathan who decided to openly fraternise with his christian clerics just as his predecessors have done with theirs and his biggest critics of this are ironically not the muslim brothers but from his own faith!
Every form of worship, comment at the pulpit or fellowship with the clerics is followed up with various interpretations and attacks from fellow christians!
PoliticsOpinion Poll: Which States Will Go The Other Way? by eyeview(op): 11:37pm On Apr 05, 2015
The presidential election has come and gone with the two major parties showing the areas of strength and domination in the various states.
Come April 11,the nation will march out again to vote the governorship candidates of their choice with the PDP and the APC being the two major forces.
However,it is widely believed that in some states, they voted the 'person' and not the 'party'. The implication is that there are some states where a party won the majority for the presidential election but will likely loose to another at the governorship election.
Drop your opinions here, stating the state, the party that won at the presidency and the party that will likely win at the governorship election.

What I see from this is rather a prayer of peace for the nation in this season of easter and under buhari's administration. I think the op is trying to be mischevious and incite attacks by this heading.

What is your problem with igbos? Everybody in Nairaland know you are a guy who constantly upload different girl's pictures as yours. You uploaded a picture you of a lady and when the true identity of the person was exposed, you have now changed it for an entirely different person.
As for the silly comment you made,it will not be dignified with a response.
RomanceRe: Why Do Women Call Themselves ( Ie Other Women) Sexy? by eyeview: 3:17pm On Apr 05, 2015
missclasssy:
When you say someone is sexy, all you are saying is that the person appeals to the opposite sex in a sexual way, due to the person's physical/bodily attributes.

So if a woman says another woman is sexy, she is just trying to say that the woman looks like someone who would appeal to the opposite sex sexually....
Going by this your explanation; Please if you are with your man on a date and he points to a man and say 'that guy is sexy', will you be okay with it?

That's the point, it's her personal make up bag, my male sensibilities wouldn't permit me to do it. if it were to be another thing, like a model, design proposal, I would have graciously oblige her request.

I guess she was beginning to perceive me as a rival, and was scared of my chances of taking over, because I was highly commended by her dad for a project I executed recently. She was supposed to handle the architectural drawings and specifications, but the layout wasn't working and the project was transferred to my desk.

You know women, her dad compelled her to study architecture, so she could take over from him. she is the lazy type and wouldn't have willingly go for architecture.

Guess she did it deliberately to get me out of her way. But she didn't know I wouldn't have accepted to be the manager, because it's her dad firm.

Just wanted to build my clientele.

It's all good though, thanks man for your concern.
You are a CEO in the making. You have the configurations of an entrepreneur. You have received two sets of advice so far
Group 1 are made of fellow CEO minded people like you who have sense of self worth and have abundance mentality
Group 2 are the people with servant mentality and are glad they have a job and would do anything for their boss to keep the job. They have scarcity mentality and thus believe 'no job out there' theory.

What I have seen here is clearly two sets of advice from two types of people in our society.
Group 1: those who are naturally wired to be entrepreneurs and captains of industries.
Group 2: those who God created to be natural employees and faithful servants, happy to have a job and free from the 'wicked labour market'

Find where you belong in the two.

She is the boss.

From the op's statement, like... "I eschew entering her ride.." and "I acted like I didn't hear her..." shows that he has an ego problem. Why do you think he will survive any other job?
He is the entrepreneur material. He was not born to be a slave but the boss. As an employer I can tell you that that young man will create his own niche in the system. Just watch him.

My dear girl,
If he was the PA,then he'll know that he was employed as her PA and then tending to her personal needs will become part of his job description, but he's an architect,a professional and valuable one. The fear of the labour market should never ever make you stoop so low to do things against your conscience.
I have worked with various financial institutions before resigning to run my own firms and I have quite a few with me and everybody is expected to conduct themselves in professional manners.

Bro u too get sense. It's sad how people here are calling the guy proud or arrogant. It shows how we have lost all sense of honor and dignity as a people, all for daily bread. Here's a story like that in the bible, where one guy eagerly gave away his birth right for porridge. Obviously many nigerians will do same if in that position.

It's not about insubordination or rudeness, cos bag carrying is not part of his work, unless he is her PA or secretary. So those abusing the OP obviously think low of themselves- low self esteem.
To me it's about human dignity, talk less of being a man. If it were his wife, no problem, but an employer in an office environment, no.

I also think he did the right thing by refusing. And I applaud his boldness at that. If u can't stand for something, u fall for everything.
May God bless you. A lot of people on this thread have got slave mentality and are born as perpetual employees. They don't have self esteem.

May god bless you. You are one of the few who have a sense of self-worth. You are one of the few who would not carry a slave mentality because he want to feed. If you are qualified for the job you do,you wouldn't have to suck up to a girl of your age to keep it. Many people feel their employers do them a favour by keeping them but forget that they too render a professional service in return.

Goodluck in getting another one.
How would you feel if you saw your father carrying the bag and towing behind a woman who happens to his contemporary simply because her dad is chairman? Be sincere.

One thing I know for sure is whether an ibo man is president/vice/senate president it may not generally improve the life of their people cos they don't like to depend on anyone/any govt just like the Op rightly pointed out.

We hustle for our daily bread not even depending on our fathers/grandfathers riches.
We always struggle to make our name known.

But let's stop the hating and bashing as it won't lead us anywhere. Am only waiting for 2019 let me see how far this "Change" will take us.

Too much talk no dey the matter at all
Very very on point. You have given the conclusion of the whole matter. Igbos are really independent by nature and thus don't look at any senate president seat for their survival or existence. Let's just keep our fingers crossed and wait till 2019 to see how far the change has taken the whole nation. Until then,I ajourn further arguments on this.

You weren't wrong. It was never stated in the offer letter that you job description included carrying her hand bag. She has inferiority complex and she could only overcome it by seeing you do attend to her domestic needs. She wanted to cross the line and you didn't let her. That's the same way some people get to start doing uncomplimentary things to keep their jobs. You were a man.
Don't feel bad, other jobs will turn up.

She should avoid that dinner with this Bola Shagaya.

Please madam,I have a question for you. Please answer. Since its the 'right and lawful' thing to do. Why has Buhari never done it in all his losses even in the face of defeat at the 2011 election ajudjed to be the best so far in history and still under this same Jega?? Why does he end up making inflammatory statements that will cause his followers to go up in arms and shed innocent bloods? Is he allergic to 'right and lawful' things?
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Pastors & Election Prophecies: Ones That Came True & Ones That Did Not by eyeview: 7:33am On Apr 03, 2015
A friend was in church the day Bishop Oyedepo was accused of making that statement. GEJ paid a surprise visit to the church and both men were very careful and thus refrained from making any political statement. Oyedepo just asked the church to stretch forth their hands towards the president and pray for him. He reminded the church that president is still a man who has his own personal problems even though he's a president and still needs prayers.
GEJ himself thanked the church and apologised for not coming to the church since but have worshipped in their Abuja church.
It is then saddening that someone would create such lies against the bishop and people(and mostly christians) would go to town with the falsehood.
Am not a fan of both men,but I think we should not be agents of ridiculing our pastors, you will never see a muslim be a party to such.
