VISA ALERT!!!

After 3 refusals for my Mum;

1st: 2018
2nd: 2018
3rd: 2022

4th: Approval

Its been a journey but it ended in praise.

Biometric date: 18th July 2023
Moved to DMC next day
Passport collection: 9th August 2023

The wait was a tough one, I was worried for my Mum because it will be devasting for her if its a refusal again.

All glory be to God.

Standard application...I didn't want to rush it.

My brother had A1 in Maths and am still surprised.

salt1:

I'm surprised at the pass rate in Mathematics this year.
Even my niece who was almost failing Maths in her school exams scored B3 in WAEC.
I've seen E8 though

I am talking about when you go for Visa interview at the american embassy in the UK and the VO ask her why can't you give birth here not at the point of entry

Hi,

I was in the same shoe as you in 2015 when I had my son in New York. When I was asked this question I told them that I have family in the US who will take proper care of me and since I can afford it at this time I decide to come over.

This was my answer and immediately, the guy stamped me in.

Hope this helps.

Hello House,

Is there anyone that has applied for medical visa to give birth in US before from the UK?

Please i need advise because i reside here with my wife for now and i have a feeling the VO might ask my wife that why are you going to the US to give birth when you can give birth here in the UK with good health service.

And the reason why i am doing this now is because if i give birth here, my child cannot get British passport straight away as i am still under work permit visa.

I am very confused please i need your advise based on people experience.

Family / My Husband Just Told Me Something About His NYSC Days And It's Making Me Sad. by eyiye(f): 12:07pm On Mar 20, 2017
Hello House,

Yesterday, my husband told me that during his NYSC days, he had a girlfriend in the state he was serving while we were dating. This was really surprising to me because he told me about all his escapades before we marry but he has never mentioned this NYSC girlfriend to me.

I was serving in Abia state and he was serving in Ekiti state and he never gave me peace of mind, he wanted to know all I was doing in Abia state and never let me get too close to any guy meanwhile he had a girlfriend in Ekiti state and the girl was even visiting him in his house in Lagos.

After telling me this, I was really surprised because during that period I really trusted him. Now am scared that now that we are married, he might have a girlfriend somewhere and when I look at him all I see is distrust.

Please how do I handle this?

Firstly, go and read through the job description and make sure you understand it well.
Be able to talk them through your CV by telling them what you have done or what you are doing. etc
Do a little research about the company, you might be asked questions like why do you want to work for us.
Have one or two questions you will ask the interviewer, don't just say no questions when asked that what questions do you have for them.
Dress appropriately, be smart.

Career / Re: What Are The Career Opportunity For A Sociologist In Nigeria. by eyiye(f): 10:57am On Jan 25, 2017
I did apply to study Sociology in Unilag, this was because I saw myself as been versatile and I had opinions/ideas for everything am been asked. I did went for the course and graduated with a good result. After graduation, I got a good/well paid job while working I decided to do a professional course in HR and within two years I became Chartered HR personnel. Presently am a Business Analyst living outside the country but I can tell you that Sociology gave me the foundation. My advice will be that you should study hard and come out with good grade. By God's grace you will do exploits. Also to mention that you can work anywhere, there is no restrictions.

Suggestion well taken. Thanks so much, will let you know how it goes.

tunderule2016:

You will need more than this Eyiye.... they need to know you are connected so birth certificate for you also is important..... The major reason you want her to come to visit you .. will play an important role in her situation so you need to have a strong reason why you need her to visit you .... and I will want you to know this small mistake most Nigerians do ... they do not utilize the space where it says ADDITIONAL INFORMATION..... Please use that box wisely, to explain Your connection, why you want her to visit, how much you miss your sister but because of work or other reasons you cannot be in Nigeria and most importantly, you will let them know you know the implication of her not returning back to Nigeria. Let them know you know the rules and your records can show you are a law abiding person and so is your sister.

I believe you understand what i mean... so i believe i have been able to hit the nail ont he head for you .. Good luck!!!
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by eyiye(f): 8:57am On Apr 26, 2016
Thank you so much.

tunderule2016:

OK.... that age is very tricky.... But i will be 100% honest with you ... it is 60/40 but with the right documents and prayer it can be over turned to 80:20 in your favor. I dont want you to feel i am being negative .. NO!!! i am just very objective and i do not want you to waste money .... so i have to be honest and direct with you ....

The two key requirements are:
1) That you can maintain and accommodate your sister during her visit, without recourse to public funds. This can be done by using your finances since you sponsoring her visit.

2) That she intend to return to their country of residence at the end of her visit. This can be done by showing strong ties to their home country. Some examples of how this can be done are: Employment, Education, Family ties, Property and any other commitments she has to where they live - I.e. (anything) which will show their intent to return...

That anything means everything !!!!! The link below is the official documents and steps needed but not fully explained and because Nigeria has got records we have to show more documents!!!! Let me know if you still need more help!!!

Here is a link that shows the supporting documents needed...

Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by eyiye(f): 4:19pm On Apr 25, 2016
I will be sending her:
Invitation letter,
Passport page,
Biometric residence card,
Bank statement,
then an explainatory letter.

From her end:
Bsc certificate
Birth certificate
Bank statement
passport

FrontPageLawyer:
.

For younger applicants, it's generally very difficult to prove the strong ties to their home country and therefore it makes it quite difficult for them to get the visitors visa but not impossible. Since she's not been able to form many ties, the entry clearance officer may look at specific intentions, family situations, long range plans and prospects within the country of residence.

List the documents you're sending from your end and also let her list the ones she has e.g Bsc, professional development training certificates e.t.c

Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by eyiye(f): 3:55pm On Apr 25, 2016
She is 27 years old, she just finished university and her NYSC. She is presently staying with our parents. I plan for her to come in July.

tunderule2016:

That is a bit tricky and hard... with the present situation with denials.... I do not want to scare you but i have to be objective.... first how old is she? where is she staying presently , is it with your parents (why asked is to try and build a case with parents). When do you plan for her to come .... and when you say schooling (University i presume?)

With the present situation you posted , there is high chance of denial except a great case is built... so answer the few questions above and will see the advice i can help with.
