Politics › Fulani Terrorists Imported Into Plateau To Kill Christians – Rev Dachomo by Ezeama400(op): 11:52pm On Nov 05, 2025 |
Outspoken Plateau State clergyman, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has alleged that due to the designation of Nigeria as a ‘Country of Particular Concern’ by United States President Donald Trump, some politicians have imported Fulani terrorists into the state to kill as many Christians as possible.
Dachomo, the Regional Chairman for the Church of Christ in Nations, COCIN, in Barkin Ladi local government area of the state, raised the alarm in a video message he posted on social media on Wednesday.
In the video, he said he has inside information that thus far, thousands of terrorist groups, particularly Fulani ethnic militias from Bauchi State and other places, have already established camps along the state’s borders and gradually advancing into communities through a series of violent attacks and land-grabbing campaigns.
He stated that the terrorists and their sponsors have heard what President Donald Trump said about sending in US forces into Nigeria and are now making sure they kill as many people in the state as possible before the arrival of the US soldiers.
“Already, they have declared war on Plateau State. As I’m talking to you, yesterday we buried one corpse in the night and they killed two people again,” he said in the video.
Continuing, he said: “This morning, I am telling you, come and see Fulani terrorists invited from Bauchi and other places being transported into Plateau. I was able to get a report from an insider and what the man told me has come to be the truth.
“This morning, as I’m talking to you, they are trooping into Dorowa, a community that shares borders with parts of Bauchi State, especially the Fulani-dominated areas of Bauchi.
“They are trooping into Dorowa in their thousands. They are currently camping behind Dorowa village in Nyarwei village in Faan district. Now what do you want us to do? We are going to defend ourselves to the death.
“So I’m making this video to tell the whole world, please pray for us Christians. Your prayer is more than AK-47s, it’s more than rocket launchers. It will destroy and destabilize even the coven in the dark world and that is what I’m doing in the office right now.”
This is not the first time Rev. Dachomo has made such an alert about terrorists’ incursions into the state. Sometime in October, he had raised an alarm about potential Fulani terrorist attacks in the Dorowa area of Barkin Ladi.
In a video that went viral, he alleged that an insider source had revealed to hin that Fulani terrorists was penetrating the state through Nyerwai and were going to attack some communities simultaneously.
But the alert was discredited by security forces who labeled him a liar and an alarmist who was deliberately employing emotionally charged and divisive narratives to whip up ethno-religious sentiments and curry favour from the local populace.
The military authorities, in a statement issued at the time, said, “The Reverend’s accusations extend to claims of a Fulani leader influencing security forces to shield Fulani suspects from arrest. He also criticizes Christian authorities for alleged inaction, suggesting a link to ISWAP.
“Dachomo’s statements culminate in a call to arms for local youths to defend themselves and a plea for prayer, painting a dire picture of the security situation in the region.
“Accordingly, the viral video by Rev. Dachomo alleging mobilisation of Fulani terrorists through Nyerwai in Barkin Ladi LGA and accusing security agencies of collusion is a clear case of propaganda intended to inflame public sentiment and erode confidence in security agencies.
“Rev. Dachomo’s accusation is baseless and aimed at causing unnecessary tension. The JTF OPEP condemns the misleading narratives and hereby warns the propagator to desist from causing panic and discord among the peace-loving people of the state to abstain from such acts or face the full wrath of the law.”
But despite the denials, Dachomo’s alert turned out to be true as the very night he raised the alarm, three communities in Barkin Ladi were attacked simultaneously with over 17 people killed. https://dailypost.ng/2025/11/05/fulani-terrorists-imported-into-plateau-to-kill-christians-rev-dachomo-cries-out/?fbclid=IwdGRjcAN4s_xleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZAo2NjI4NTY4Mzc5AAEe7IW_8JuTncZLTzvJNbKc4eURjtFaNvGJ58sDWlZQVs1pQo0lXYgooxBHMwg_aem_LmYZfyirnuPl_-Z5JcNS-Q#mhml98vzzaf8m4bw2de

The sponsors decried the alleged worsening persecution of Christians and other religious minorities.
They cited a catalogue of findings and reports that informed the measure, including media accounts and NGO data alleging large-scale attacks on civilians, destruction of places of worship, and a pattern of impunity.
The resolution reads in parts, “For over a decade, Islamic terror organisations have carried out mass murder, rape, kidnappings, and other atrocities targeting mostly Nigerian Christians and non-Fulani moderate Muslim populations, resulting in mass displacement and destruction of places of worship
“Prominent Christian and Muslim leaders have been kidnapped or assassinated, including priests, pastors, and imams who advocate for religious tolerance;
“Religious leaders, such as Father Remigius Iyhula and Bishop Wilfred Anagbe, who testified on March 12, 2025, at a hearing of the House Foreign Affairs Committee about the persecution and targeted killings of Christians in the Diocese of Makurdi, have faced intimidation, threats, and harassment from both extremist groups and government authorities.”
Supporters of the measure argued that the CPC redesignation would strengthen diplomatic leverage to press Nigeria for accountability and protection of religious minorities.
“The designation of Nigeria as a CPC will enhance diplomatic efforts to encourage the Nigerian government to take necessary actions to protect religious minorities and uphold fundamental human rights,” they said.
They therefore moved that “President Donald Trump acted appropriately and decisively to redesignate Nigeria as a CPC and hold the Nigerian government accountable for its complicity in religious persecution by radical Islamists, such as Boko Haram and Fulani terrorists.”
They further recommended conditioning US foreign assistance on demonstrable steps by Nigeria to prevent persecution, prosecute alleged perpetrators, and care for displaced populations.
“The State Department should provide immediate humanitarian assistance directly to faith-based groups to support internally displaced people in Nigeria’s middle belt states.
“The United States, through the Department of State and Department of Treasury, should impose targeted sanctions, including visa bans and asset freezes under the Global Magnitsky framework and other restrictive measures, on individuals and entities responsible for severe violations of religious freedom in Nigeria, including sanctions against Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) and Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, and should place Fulani-Ethnic Militias operating in Benue and Plateau States on the Entities of Particular Concern List under the International Religious Freedom Act,” the resolution read.
The resolution also asked the US to justify the purposes and amounts of recent security and development assistance to Nigeria and to tie future support to improved human-rights outcomes.
The resolution was referred to the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Judiciary Committee for further consideration.
If it advances out of committee, the resolution would mark a clear congressional signal backing Trump’s CPC decision and could open the door to further legislative or executive actions.
Meanwhile, PUNCH Online had earlier reported that the Federal Government said the United States’ designation of Nigeria as a “country of particular concern” over alleged violations of religious freedom is based on a wrong perception of the country’s security challenges.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, stated this on Wednesday in Abuja while addressing journalists.
Idris said the US position stemmed from “misrepresentation and misinformation” about Nigeria’s internal security situation.
According to him, terrorism and violent crimes in Nigeria do not target any particular religious group.
“Nigeria faces long-standing security challenges that have impacted Christians and Muslims alike.
“Any narrative suggesting that the Nigerian state is failing to take action against religious attacks is based on misinformation or faulty data,” Idris said https://punchng.com/us-lawmakers-urge-sanctions-on-miyetti-allah-others-over-alleged-religious-violations/?fbclid=IwdGRjcAN4pKlleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZAo2NjI4NTY4Mzc5AAEeOeSPoTo3XMi_lci5IKtxnRyoJWrC-rxEVIe5mqxVO_MVzurrqiG2XUxuV20_aem_yml4fuPjZd5VmsxNSVCvuwNlfpmod Nlfpmod

Politics › Armed Herdsmen Kill Seven Residents In Sustained Attack On Benue Community by Ezeama400(op): 3:57pm On Nov 05, 2025 |
At least seven persons have been confirmed killed in a sustained two-day attack on Anwuel village, Oglewu District, in the Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State by suspected armed herdsmen.
The Chairman of the Ohimini Local Government, Adole Gabriel, who confirmed the incident on Wednesday, said the attackers struck on two consecutive days, leaving behind scenes of horror and destruction.
“Two persons were killed yesterday, and the governor has sent his special adviser on security along with troops to contain the attacks," Gabriel said, according to Channels TV.
“We visited the scene at Angwuel, where soldiers of Operation Whirl Stroke had also been stationed, but the herders returned in a gestapo operation on Tuesday evening to attack the community again, killing five additional persons.” Condemning the renewed violence in the community, Gabriel described the killings as “unprovoked and barbaric,” noting that the once peaceful community had now been deserted.
“Many residents have fled for safety. We have, however, drafted additional security personnel to restore peace and prevent further attacks,” he added.
The killings have sparked widespread outrage on social media, with residents and civil society groups condemning the rising spate of attacks on farming communities in Benue.
Many have called for stronger action from the federal government and international support to end the incessant bloodshed in the North-Central region.
Benue State, referred to as Nigeria’s “Food Basket of the Nation,” has for years been a hotspot in the escalating conflict between armed herdsmen and farming communities.
Thousands of residents have been killed and villages destroyed in recurrent attacks that have ravaged the state for decades.
The violence intensified after the Benue State government enacted the Anti-Open Grazing and Ranches Establishment Law in 2017 to address farmer-herder clashes.
The law prohibits open grazing and encourages ranching, but its enforcement has led to repeated violent reprisals from armed herders.
Despite the establishment of Operation Whirl Stroke, a joint military task force deployed to the region in 2018, attacks have persisted. Local government areas such as Guma, Gwer West, Logo, Agatu, and Ohimini have repeatedly come under siege, with hundreds killed in coordinated assaults.
Earlier this year, over 40 persons were reportedly massacred in separate attacks on villages in Agatu and Gwer East LGAs, while scores of others were displaced.
Humanitarian agencies estimate that more than 1.5 million people are currently displaced across Benue as a result of herder-related violence.
Human rights organisations, including Amnesty International and Intersociety, have repeatedly accused the federal government of failing to protect vulnerable farming populations or bring perpetrators to justice.
They warned that the continuing bloodshed risks deepening food insecurity and social instability across Nigeria’s Middle Belt region. However, as of the time of filing this report, security agencies in the state have not released a statement on the incident. https://saharareporters.com/2025/11/05/armed-herdsmen-kill-seven-residents-sustained-attack-benue-community?fbclid=IwdGRjcAN4RJJleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZAo2NjI4NTY4Mzc5AAEeRFisoq6vqsvVn_ZtkzCT3TP6Cr0KyxSb-sQNHNbTRctle9Agu1HZjaalD00_aem_81vBmp6q7qUKVL_0uIv_wQ#google_vignette

Crime › 4 Kwara Residents Kidnapped As Bandits Attack Koro Community Near Kogi Border by Ezeama400(op): 1:15pm On Nov 05, 2025 |
Terrorists have abducted four people in Koro community, located in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, which shares a boundary with Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State.
SaharaReporters learnt that the incident, which occurred on Tuesday, has heightened tension in the area as residents continue to live in fear of renewed attacks.
This latest abduction comes just days after another group of Yagba West residents were kidnapped on Oja Egbe Market Day while returning to Omi from Egbe, highlighting the worsening insecurity along the Kwara–Kogi border region.
Egbe Mekun Parrot, a local news outlet, reports that a source in the area confirmed that residents noticed suspicious movements around the Oke-Ere and Koro Road axes.
The source also warned that the Egbe–Eruku route has become increasingly dangerous for travellers.
Community members have since called on security agencies to intensify patrols and surveillance in the affected areas to prevent further attacks and restore public confidence.
Residents say the lack of visible security presence in the border communities has emboldened criminal gangs, who now operate freely, kidnapping commuters and local traders.
SaharaReporters previously reported that terrorists, locally dubbed as bandits, reportedly attacked Igbonla community in the Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, abducting several residents during a late night raid on Sunday.
A source who spoke to SaharaReporters under the condition of anonymity said the gunmen stormed the community around midnight, shooting sporadically to instill fear among residents before whisking away an undisclosed number of people.
“The attack happened on Sunday night. We don’t yet know the exact number of people kidnapped, but several residents were taken away,” the source said. The incident has caused panic among locals, with many fleeing to nearby villages for safety. The source told SaharaReporters that security operatives, including men of the Nigerian Police Force and vigilante groups, had since been deployed to the area to track down the assailants and rescue the victims.
The latest incident adds to growing concerns over rising cases of banditry and kidnappings in Kwara South, particularly in rural communities. https://saharareporters.com/2025/11/05/four-kwara-residents-abducted-terrorists-attack-community-near-kogi-border?fbclid=IwdGRjcAN4HolleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZAo2NjI4NTY4Mzc5AAEeFC6l6-0-QjSdX6R104gpd_Ouw9JluDm3aJdElnE4GF0g3vf0b9ix55cR8m0_aem_0Rje0pHghoRpF0aPjdEnNA
