First of all , i am surprised you didn't just cancel my post.

Secondly, be proud of being Fulani. You don't have to "claim" southerner to make your point.

Truth is that you cannot justify where almost extra 6 million people were suddenly found and added to old kano population. It is just a childish, fictitious prank. But, this is Nigeria, where monkey dey work, and baboon dey chop. So we get it that you people just need to cheat off everyone else to get more of the Niger Delta oil money.

I don't what the population of Kano State is but I know it's huge
I also know that the fact that the average Southern family gives birth to 4 kids since the 80s when family planning was preached and accepted by us while the average Core Northerner gives birth to 10 kids because of the religious injunction of 4 wives, gives North huge advantage in population growth. Many Southerners have actually reduced the number of kids to just two. That's how bad it's becoming

Romance / British Man Dupes Nigerian Babe With N25million Wedding Plan by ezenaija(m): 7:25pm On Mar 29, 2017
A Nigerian Bae based in UK (food blogger and bride-to-be) discovered her entrepreneur fiancé was a wine scam fraudster who had duped suppliers at their lavish £50,000 wedding and bought her a 'diamond' engagement ring worth just £20, a court has heard.
Lasse Hartmann, 43, claimed he provided mental coaching for Usain Bolt and had won Denmark’s highest military honour as part of his ruse to fleece his victims out of £133,000, jurors heard.

Among his alleged crimes, the 'wine expert' hired celebrity chef Simon Hustone for his £50,000 wedding to Adanma Wokoh, but left him £3,527 out of pocket when Hartmann never paid for the wine.

Miss Wokoh, a food blogger, then broke off the engagement after she began getting emails from some of Hartmann’s alleged victims.
She then discovered the diamond engagement ring he bought her was a fake worth less than a round of drinks.
He had also sent his fiancée emails pretending to be his mother, or his personal assistant called ‘Camile', the court was told.
As part of his alleged 18-month scam, Hartmann made bogus investments, pretending he had moved into corporate management, and had worked alongside Nike and Red Bull, the court was told.

He took on a driver and a personal assistant and claimed he was a dealer in fine wine, Snaresbrook Crown Court heard.
He also convinced Miss Wokoh to lend him cash and they rented a luxury flat on Park Lane, Mayfair.
Eleanor Mawrey, prosecuting, said Hartmann told his alleged victims he made his millions and offered them deals on vintages which never materialised.

But the con began to unravel when Miss Wokoh started receiving messages from some of Hartmann’s alleged victims.
After breaking off the engagement, she discovered Hartmann had gone to elaborate lengths to cover his tracks including a series of faked emails, the court heard.
He showed her forged bank statements from Société Générale as he took £13,900 from her.

Politics / Re: What Is The Contribution Of SOUTH EAST state To Fg Revenue? by ezenaija(m): 7:58pm On Mar 20, 2017
What a lazy mind!
You rant for day and yet can't produce figures.Does the South East produce what percentage of the income to the Federation Account? Until you answer that, the laziness of your mind will remain legendary.

afonjaheadhunt:
You are indeed stupid, i initially assumed you a fool but you just confirmed it.. The National contribution Index chart shows the South east only behind the SW, and SS and holding the Third position, with the north coming a distant fourth, fifth and sixth, so how does that make the contribution of the Northern regions more than the South east or how does that translate to the SE being leeches, so you see when i call you a fool its not an insult cause you are indeed a stupid fool, who just wants to disgrace himself on the cyber space it is even a compliment because i am sure you are actually running mad. grin

... and is it not a shame that irrespective of where the SE is coming from an Uncivil war, Economic strangulation, Marginalisation etc, and lack of feder presence, parastatals and infracstructure the could topple all the Northern regions and still compete in the South. yet fool like you still want to come here to masturbate. grin the joke is on you.

It is my prayers that in your present situation you roam sooner than later for what you wish the SE.. tomorrow they will come and scream one Nigeria cheesy
Politics / Re: What Is The Contribution Of SOUTH EAST state To Fg Revenue? by ezenaija(m): 9:17am On Mar 19, 2017
So you admit that the South East is as a big a parasite and maybe a bigger parasite than the North to the Federation Account by taking so much and contributing so little to this funding pool.
You are also ignorant of the fact that the North is a million times more endowed than the South East in solid minerals which the FG is yet to explore, exploit.

afonjaheadhunt:
Mr man you dont sound intelligent and you are busy spamming this thread with your useless postulations. is it that SE fault that the government have refuse to use the resources from the south east so that the benefit does not acrue to them, there is coal, Salt, Limestone, Bitumen, crude oil bauxite, the list is endless in the south east, yet the FG wont use them and wont let the SG use them so what are you talking about like i said you are dumb and think you are sounding smart stop fooling yourself on the cyberspace.

Before you think of spewing another trash check the Health and wealth index and security level of all regions as that is the real measure for contribution and regional success fool. grin
Politics / Re: What Is The Contribution Of SOUTH EAST state To Fg Revenue? by ezenaija(m): 9:04pm On Mar 18, 2017
So why does the so-called South East accuse the North of being parasites eating what the so-called South East ignorantly and falsely claim it contributes to the Federation Account when in actual fact,it is a parasite on the Federation Account itself?

DerideGull:
The so-called south-east does not have to contribute anything to Nigeria in order to share from the coffers of the federal government of Nigeria. Since the Nigeria has made the area part of the country, the so-called south east stands unshaken to enjoy the accumulative resources of the federal government of Nigeria.

you kids are just simply too dull & cast in your blind ways.

go & do research on other regimes to gain a better understanding of the Nigerian system rather than letting propagandist pollute your little brains.

as for the excess crude oil account matter, Reno has succinctly addressed what those who are willingly to do research have always known.

bottom line is, there was surely corruption under GEJ, but it has been blown own of proportion & rather than opening your little mind to see/research beyond the 'noise', you simply regurgitate the trash & spew it out as gospel truth...

shouting corruption up & down as if it was not this same PMB who in 1984 allowed an Emir smuggle in over 50 bags of looted funds in Nigeria or the same PMB that said Abacha didn't steal or the same PMB that cannot account for revenues since June 2015....

well, I leave you to your ignorance.

You haven't written anything worthy of a response. It's clear that we are worlds apart.
Can any rational mind bring in Reno Omokri in an intellectual discourse on economy when I'm using opinions canvassed by Okonjo-Iweala, Oby Ezekwesili, Bismarck Rewane, Prof Charles Soludo, Financial Times, The Economist and other authorities. Isn't that madness?

REMINDER:
"The parallels with the Shagari regime are troubling. First, at the time of oil boom, Nigeria again went on a consumption spree such that the budgets of the last five years can best be described as ‘consumption budgets’, with new borrowing by the federal government exceeding the actual expenditure on critical infrastructure. Second, not one penny was added to the stock of foreign reserves at a period Nigeria earned hundreds of billions from oil. For comparisons, President Obasanjo met about $5 billion in foreign reserves, and the average monthly oil price for the 72 months he was in office was $38, and yet he left $43 billion in foreign reserves after paying $12 billion to write-off Nigeria’s external debt. In the last five years, the average monthly oil price has been over $100, and the quantity also higher but our foreign reserves have been declining and exchange rate depreciating."
PROF CHARLES SOLUDO, JANUARY 2015.
PROF Soludo CONTINUES
"If oil prices remain between 40- 60 dollars over the next two years, the current policy regime guarantees that foreign reserves will continue the precipitous depletion with the attendant exchange rate depreciation, as well as a probable unsustainable escalation in debt accumulation, fiscal retrenchment or taxing the private sector with vengeance. The scenario does not look pretty."

Yet Again He says
" The poor choices made by the current government have mortgaged the future, and the next government would have little room to manoeuvre and would inevitably undertake drastic but painful structural adjustments. Nigerians loathe the term ‘structural adjustment’. With falling real wages and depreciating currency, I can see any belated attempt by the government to deal with the bloated public sector pitching it against a feisty labour. I worry about regime stability in the coming months, and I do not envy the next team."

You question is akin to asking "Was my Dad not earning as low as N20,000 as a banker in 1995 and could buy a car, paid 3-bedroom flat rent and sent us to private schools and you claim N50,000 income now is the reason why a family is struggling?" Wouldn't that be an unreasonable assertion to make my friend? Check the size of our recurrent expenditure in 2000 and 2009 and understand the difference. Also check our national import bill and our trade balance with trading partners. You can look at the national wage bill and others Bro. Check them and come back.

again, in your haste to paint PMB in white, you have let insanity becloud your analysis (in reference to your last sentence).

1. first of all, I have no arguments about corruption under GEJ, he can hung from the balls for all I care.

but you lot seem to start your 'existence' from 2010.

in 1978, over $2.8b went missing under just OBJ & saint PMB;

in 1992, IBB alone 'maradonaed' $12b

between 1993-97, the Abacha family alone, looted over $8b. in that period, saint PMB 'mismanaged' over N350b & even said Abacha was not corrupt!

by 98/99, Abdulsalam purportedly went away with over $6b alone;

between 99-2006, $16b NIPP funds went missing under OBJ, Siemens & national ID card matter, over N500b works money vanished. within 1 month, over N1trn approved by FEC few months to the end of his tenure went missing...

so why does GEJ take the most vile heat on corruption issues?

for part b of your first analysis, who granted Dangote license for his refinery, or at least started the process? GEJ believed more in private investment hence his reluctance to build new refineries by govt that has shown gross inability to manage same. where was the extra money when Nigeria was heavily subsidising PMS?

b. cost on imports was tripling because your economy was expanding, simple. as a child, when you were growing, were you eating less as a 10 year old than when you were say... 5 years old?

are you talking about the same excess crude account that governors insisted should be shared? lol...

c. what firm & sustainable principles? a regime that is still 'planning' to come up with an economic plan almost 2 years after winning elections & being sworn into power?

the present savings is a political statement, something to point to as an 'achievement', but has no developmental relevance in real terms of development. OBJ did same, he saved, but what infrastructure did he leave behind?

Dangote refinery... who laid the foundational plan for that? whose policy gave room for what APC is trying to beat its chest for today? or you think Dangote just woke up on 1st June 2015 & started building a refinery?

GEJ should have done better, agreed, but blaming him solely is the height of hypocrisy...

Another empty brain submission.
The reason Jonathan is mentioned is simple..
HE PRESIDED OVER THE GREATEST OIL BOOM IN THE HISTORY OF THE COUNTRY, YET HE WAS ALREADY BORROWING TO PAY WORKERS SALARIES BEFORE HAND OVER. NEITHER OBJ, ABDULSALAM OR IBB WENT THAT LOW.
OBJ handed over a healthy economy irrespective of whatever you accuse him of.. If you have to preside over corruption, don't eat up all you earned, borrowing heavily and drawing down the available savings.
GOVERNORS INSISTED ON SHARING OF THE
EXCESS CRUDE ACCOUNT BECAUSE JONATHAN AND OKONJO-IWEALA BEGAN TO SECRETLY DRAW FROM IT WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT, KNOWLEDGE. JONATHAN AND OKONJO-IWEALA HAD SPENT ABOUT $2 - 4 BILLION FROM THERE SECRETLY AND GOVERNORS REALIZED JONATHAN COULD NOT BE TRUSTED WITH THE MONEY BECAUSE OF HIS ITCHY FINGERS. Are you ignorant of this fact?

the primary factor that caused low savings under the previous administration was fuel subsidy.

if Nigerians had agreed for subsidy to be removed then, we would have saved an extra $35b-$40b...

besides, you talk of logic... isn't it LOGICAL that when the cost of the raw material of a finished good reduces, shouldn't the cost of the finished good also drop? so why is the reverse the case with our PMS? it just goes to show that there are more variables in arriving at a decision than meets the eye.

furthermore, in the context of development, foreign reserves is a secondary factor. its what i call a 'variable', it is effective when other primary factors are reasonably addressed. what is the point of saving if infrastructure is terrible? for instance, you point to present savings & I say, why not build a large refinery? isn't buying PMS one of the drains on the savings? so what's the sense of saving when you would still use the savings to treat a problem you can eliminate by 'not saving' but investing...

that's the situation GEJ met & used the opportunity of high income to try to redress. Nigeria has a huge population - infrastructure deficit which dates back to the 70s when socioeconomic development stopped keeping pace with population growth, so the backlog is enormous & even if Nigeria had an external reserve of $150b without infrastructure, it would mean nothing in real development terms.

countries like Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Mexico, Brazil, Russia have higher reserves than nations like US, Sweden, Canada... but which countries are most developed?

the drop in crude oil price affected things, sure, but a lack of clear focus & planning coupled with unstatemanly utterances made what would have been a manageable situation worse.

that the previous administration had corruption issues is not in doubt, but so did every administration before it & even this present one is on course to equal if not surpass that.

every administration will have its positives & negatives.

It was foolish of a President to waste $35 - $40 Billion paying fuel subsidy. This is the exact reason why we are in the current mess. So you inadvertently agree that Jonathan put us in the current situation. He paid for the corruption not the real subsidy. How did fuel subsidy rise from about N200 Billion to N1 trillion per year in his first year as Acting President? Corruption! Nigerians rejected his argument that because of corruption, fuel subsidy had to go. Nigerians said he should fight the corruption in fuel subsidy. OBJ paid fuel subsidy and still saved over $65 Billion in Reserve while selling oil half the price and lesser the quantity Jonathan sold.
