Whoever voted for me, because you could not vote for you tribal brother. You all are truly something else.
PoliticsRe: Who Are The Top Ten Most Tribal Nairaland Members? by EzeUche0(m): 2:28am On Nov 12, 2010
You all sullied my good name with this poll. I know it was the Yoruba who voted in droves against me. We all know Bk.babe should have 100% of the vote with his hate/crime filled postings.

That Awolowo thread really must have struck a chord with you all! angry

Btw why is beaf not on that poll?
I think I am taking some of the Beaf vote. If his name was up there, my number would be much lower. grin

Dont forget we still have ede, iwo ,ila and other, all of them is bigger than the 2 largest town in Imo state. And you claim imo state is 4 million and osun state is 3 million. Please , now tell us another solution to our problem we want to know. If you doubt this picture please call google Inc in the USA.
Imo State has a higher population than Osun State. Get over it. The population is quite dispersed in Imo. Do not go by the town sizes.

I didn't know that. However you are based in the USA. Staying in Nigeria over the summer hols is not the same as living in Nigeria tear in year out though.
Definitely banditry in the east can be linked to the desire of jobless young men to make quick money and the state of the NPF.
I have ears on the ground. My parents and my siblings reside in Nigeria. I think I know my homeland of the East very well. The East is a very combustible situation. It is like a powder keg that can blow at any time. All it needs is a spark. 2011 will be an eventful year. I can assure you of that.

Yorubas you better call back you wayward brother fstranger. What do you think is going to happen to this thread once my Igbo brothers come to this page? I tried warning him, but I cannot hold off the hordes of my brothers who will see his post.

You think we are happy to see a Yoruba bragging about Igbos that he supposedly killed?

On what is this your rantings based. Is it by posts from Nigerian diasporans in Nairaland? However at the end of the day the real issues of the SouthEast are not abstract issues like census or mundane issues like federal allocation but simply basic good governance. In other words they need governors that wouldwork for the overall benefit of their people instead of for the benefit of  notorious political racketeers.
You do know, that I live in Nigeria? I only stay in the U.S. when school is in session. There are grumblings in the East. Some of our lads have turned to kidnapping, but how long do you think it will take until they start targeting FG officials? The East is a hotbed of militancy. Many Igbos are sympathetic to the plight of the Niger Deltan minorities.

If it wasn't for the face of Edwin Clark belittling the Igbos and some mistrust of the Ijaws by the wider Igbo, we would have joined forces with them already.

MShittu:
I really thing that this South-East issue is a time bomb waiting to explode. The south east receives the least allocation from the FG, has its population counts manipulated and is full of individuals who wish to break off and form Biafra. The FG is real silly cuz it can't see these issues and so are South Eastern Governors, cuz from what I gather, Igbos are a very united people and push for their development, but some Igbo governors, with theodore orji being the prime example, are extremely selfish and might've been put in power to suppress the Igbo people. I think that if the Biafran war didn't fully quell the Igbo people's ambition, its only going to be a few years before a revolution of sorts goes down in the south east.
That's what I think though,
You are speaking the truth. May God bless your lineage.

Oil pipelines running from the SS to Igboland. If they are attacked, then you just starve your own people of oil.

In which ND city are there lots of Igbo? Like, a plurality that could support a movement like MEND? Warri, and that is pretty much it, right?
Your first statement makes no sense.

And have you heard of Port Harcourt (Igwe Ocha). The most important city in the Niger Delta. This city is Igbo dominated and has a high Igbo population. I was actually raised in that town.
PoliticsRe: No Victor No Vanquished - How true? by EzeUche0(m): 9:26pm On Nov 11, 2010
DapoBear:
Err, they are holding the country hostage because they can strike at oil production. Igbo people cannot do that. If Igbo man causes wahala, who cares? What oil facility is he going to destroy?
And the Igbo can't? Do you know how many Igbos reside in the Niger Delta? You better hope the Igbo never get involved, because of our sheer numbers can mean the end of Nigeria as we know.

This also shows your ignorance of the East. You know oil pipelines run throughout Igboland. However, you would not know that, because you were not raised in Nigeria. Do not speak about something you do not know. No one would care if the Yoruba started trouble, because your region offers nothing to Nigeria.

Again you need to be careful and not just believe media hype. What do I feel about Mend? They are simply criminal bandits who are using the issues of the Niger Delta to extract criminal gain.
They  ultimately would have to be squarely dealt with by the federal security forces despite the present dangerously misguided appeasement policy.
Let me ask you a honest question. Have you ever been to the core Niger Delta areas? Have you interacted with the people who live in the region? If you haven't, I advise you to travel there if you are not scared and then talk to me.

You cannot say that all of the militants are simply "criminal bandits." Some actually believe in the cause. That is why it has been so hard to defeat them.

ANC was able to do that because of an overwhelming black majority, as well as sympathetic neighboring countries. None of your African neighbors really supported you (for obvious reasons). Also, there was no huge majority you can hide in. It isn't as if there were Biafrans also in the North and Southwest populace, they were only in Igbo land.

Finally, in a place like Nigeria, if you try guerrilla warfare, they will just kill everyone in a village/town. Shoot first, ask questions later is the way this country works.
There is already guerrilla warfare occurring in Nigeria. Haven't you heard of MEND and other Niger Deltan militant groups? What do you call these insurgents? The East will forever remain the hotbed of hostility for the Nigerian State. Started by the Ndi Igbo, the mantle has been taken by the Ijaws.

You are now talking another thing and making conjectures which can never be verified. However Nigeria is not  was not ang will never be a formal union of sects or language groups.
There are plenty of threads and stats to back up my statements. I do not want to rehash old information, but you can find it on Nairaland. Igbos are marginalized in National Politics. You even have Yorubas on Nairaland bragging about those facts. The amount of Federal Projects in Alaigbo can be considered nonexistent. And the revenue sharing scheme from oil does not benefit the south-east even though we have oil in our land and it is the most densely populated region in Nigeria and Africa in general.

Why are people so afraid of a referendum? Lets see how the Eastern people view Nigeria. Things have not changed much since Biafra.

Are u insane!?! When have I ever called for the extermination of Ibos?

You on the other hand have called for the extermination of Ijaws/Yorubas/Hausas and just about every other tribe that might hinder your attempts to get to the Atlantic or the Oil fields of the Niger-Delta!
Did I mention you? That was meant for another Yoruba poster. Not you. . .

Must be a guilty conscious.

You need to be careful about these your ill-thought out utterances on the civil war. What, at the end of the day, is war but according to Clausewitz, an "extension of politics by other means".
They are not supposed to be fought to the complete extermination of the enemy,if you must know.
However it should be said that Ojukwu should have realised that with the capture of Port Harcourt in May 1968 that the war was over as a strategic contest, and accordingly sought a negotiated settlement.
Thereafter it was just a matter of Ojukwu and his other well-trained commanders demonstrating their tactical and operational prowess before their inevitable capitulation, in the face of overwhelmingly superior enemy firepower, to Gowon's commanders.
However could it be that maybe - just maybe- you are still fighting the civil war in your mind? undecided
If you think the war is over, you are sadly mistaken. Igbos are still marginalized in national politics. Alaigbo has been neglected when it comes to Federal Projects. How can the North with no oil receive more funding than the South-East? It doesn't make any sense.

If given the opportunity to opt out of this union, the majority of the Igbo and Eastern population would leave this country. Like I have said before, put the vote to a referendum.

I must have pissed off a lot of Yorubas with my Awolowo thread. That is where you have to aim it where it hurts. But to compare me with Bk.babe? That is the ULTIMATE insult.

Do I call for the extermination of an entire people? The answer is No.

I am an Igbo Nationalist and I am proud to be one.

EzeUche0, you are not being realistic. Guerilla warfare in Nigeria leads to genocide. Come on man, be realistic with yourself, this is Africa.
Guerrilla warfare is was used by many group in Southern Africa. Look at what the ANC (African National Congress) was able to accomplish in South Africa. Or how about the guerrilla war that Mugabe led against Ian Smith in Zimbabwe?

Genocide turns the whole world against a regime. Frankly, my people did suffer from a genocide.

Frankly, I wish your coward father did. If he did, you wont be here running your mouth. Your father must be regretting his actions, Anofia!
My father is far from a coward and has been celebrated as a Biafran War hero. He did not run in the face of battle, nor did any of my uncles when faced with the odds of defeat. My father's eldest brother died in that war.

And I'll bet you would never say that to my face.

Biafran soldiers could have continued the fight. Could have made it into a guerrilla war. We were not defeated outrightly. Only our civilian population suffered, since they were targeted, but the soldiers could have continued the fight. And frankly, I wish my father and others did.

Successful guerrilla wars are as follows:
Mao Zedong's People Liberation Army
Fidel Castro and Che Guevara in the 26th of July Movement
Irish Republican Army
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Now Imports Bananas by EzeUche0(m): 7:47pm On Nov 11, 2010
This doesn't make any sense. See this is the problem when nations do not grow their own food. I can't only blame Nigeria. These Structural Adjustment Programs forbid many African nations from subsidizing their farmers, while Western nations provide subsidies to their farmers.

Yorubas should be worrying about their own criminals like Obasanjo and Bankole.

Igbos should lead investigations on them. There is plenty of dirt on both of them.

so there is no crime in an Igbo man calling Awo a devil incarnate?
His policies impacted a lot of people in the East. I see no problem calling that man evil. When you starve little children, then you have to be evil. It is as simple as that. You do not target the defenseless. That goes against the Laws of War.

Read some of his post on other threads. He joins the fray as well attacking Igbo leaders that we Igbos hold dear. And then blame Biafrans for the atrocities committed against us. That is why he can his words and SHOVE it where the sun never shines.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria And Nairaland. Let's Stop This Nonsense! by EzeUche0(m): 5:36pm On Nov 11, 2010
Maybe we Igbos would stop being bitter if we were included in NATIONAL POLITICS. How can you ignore a people who make up the majority in a major region of the country? That doesn't make sense. Plus, it is COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE. Nigeria will never progress if this doesn't change.

If things don't change, Igbos will rise up again. Simple as that.
