O I doubt that. You must not know about Anambra or Ebonyi. What are the bakassi boys doing now? Besides they were a mix of different Igbos.
Really? Anambra Igbos were strong? Thought Nri boys was preaching peace? Ebonyi Igbos are the weak Igbo clans that Ohafia and Abiriba used to practice their head-hunting techniques on.

Vigilante justice found its roots in Abia and spread to Anambra. Do not forget that.

I don't get it. Is it that these group of igbos are weak or what? They don't know how to deal with these kidnappers/robbers? I think the best thing to do is send some Igbos from Anamba or Imo to that area of Abia state to whip those people up very well.
What? Remember where Bakassi originated from? God's Own State. . .

Abia Igbos are actually the most warlike and strongest.

I know Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iwaela. All the hard work that she did. If the southeast had our own nation, I would want her to be our leader.

The day that this happens, will be when the Hausa leave Nigeria, because they have no use for oil anymore. grin

I'm sure that all of this land has been inhabited for thousands of years. But who is to say that the people currently in Igboland for example are the ones who were originally there?

As an example, supposedly there was some pre-existing group of people in Yorubaland, who were then conquered by this Oduduwa guy and his homies (at least, this is the legend/story that they say.) If that is the case, do we start the clock when Oduduwa conquered them to form a new people, or start it earlier? This is why I'm saying that things are kind of ambiguous.

And my larger point is that it ultimately doesn't matter. If we've lived in a place for only 50 years, and are numerous enough, nobody is going to kick us out of it. Versus another group who has lived in a land for 1000s of years, but for some reason are dying out. Latter group will very likely lose their land.
Igbos have been present in the region for hundreds of years. The East is the Igbo birthplace. My own clan did not inhabit our present land, but won it in warfare with the Ibibios. This history is already known, so how you can tell someone like myself about my own history? We already know our history. The people currently in Igboland, has always been in Igboland. We did not displace anyone except for some Eastern Igbo groups. This is a fact.

Hell, are any of us truly native to Nigeria? How does one define native? It is pretty arbitrary, no?
Well most of the Eastern populations have been present in that region for thousands of years. Eastern Nigeria is the birthplace of the Bantu migration that spread into southern Africa to be exact. I hear the Hausa came the northernmost part of the Sahel region. And we all know the Fulani homeland is in Senegal called Futa Jallo.

Are the Ijaws even native to Nigeria? I heard they originated from Ghana. They are similar to the Ga people.

Well, there are always ways to involve yourself that are not obvious. Money, for one. It isn't as if Yoruba would be dumb enough to send a bunch of us directly to Warri and fight there or something. But there are more subtle ways to tip the balance for the side you are rooting for (e.g., money.)
Thank God that Igboland is clearly marked in Delta State. Delta Igbo are perfectly fine with Asaba. No need to move down to Warri to start wahala. We can leave that to the Itsekiri and Ijaws. So are the Isoko the power brokers within in Delta. I am not familiar with Delta State politics to be honest.

There's something about the people that makes them lions among men, when they say, "Warri no de carry last" you bera believe it o!
I agree with you. Delta state is too much for the Igbo. We will leave that to the Ika, Ukwuani and Anioma.

And we all know how you Warri boys get down. You wont see me claiming ownership of that town.

To be honest, I have always doubted the Ijaw population number. They cannot be the largest ethnic group in the South-South. The Ibibio, Annang, and Efik people have the numbers. I am not saying this, because I am half Igbo

Yep. Any attempts to cheat them or oppress them will be vigorously opposed.

PS: How long have you been in PG County? How do you like it there? I'm surprised that you can live in the heart of Yorubaland in America and be so opposed to my people  grin
I been in PG County for 4 years. My parents had a house built in this county, and they gave it to my siblings and I since they enjoy living in Port Harcourt more. I like PG County, it is VERY black. A lot of wealthy Black Americans and Nigerians. And yes, there are a lot of Yorubas in PG County. I should of went to school in Houston where there are lot of Igbos. However, I have noticed more Igbos live in the Baltimore area than the DC area.

Lets be honest, the Itsekiri have powerful allies in the Yoruba. Many Yoruba consider these people as the same as them. Likewise, the Anioma Igbo have allies amongst the hinterland Igbo.

And I wonder how the Ijaw population jumped over the Itsekiri people to be native to Ondo State.

People actually have a problem with this? It is obvious that the man had a problem with OBJ like most Nigerians. This brave man should be commended. We need more people like him to go after these criminals.

I give up arguing with a buffoon. It is like talking to a brick wall. Even bk.babe makes more sense than you at times. And that is not saying much either.

Beaf,

You know that this thread was directed at you. . .

Oyb- "not so long ago, any news of attacks by mend would b greeted by "up mend!", mostly by the people who have now turned blind supporters of gej

its interesting watching them fall over themselves condemning henry okah, who so many of them lionized"

Funny how you was once a passionate supporter of Henry Okah, but now you are not. He criticized your savior GEJ and now he has been cast off like trash. You were once a PROUD supporter of MEND as well. Do not deny it, because everyone on the Politics section of NL will call you a liar.

Chima Orlu is not a real person. Don't you understand that. How come this is the first time we are hearing anything about this man? We did not hear anything about him before. Instead of chasing phantoms, they should be chasing the people who are actually wining and dining with GEJ. This is getting easy Beaf. You are easy to refute. It doesn't even take me much effort.
PoliticsRe: How Does The Thieving Of Corrupt Nigerians Affect Their Kids? by EzeUche0(m): 8:56pm On Nov 08, 2010
I actually know a good amount of these kids as well. Maybe, because my family is very close with the families of certain politicians. (Not naming any names) Some of them are down to Earth. The others think they are high and mighty. While you have some who do not want to be associated with their families. Orji Kalu's daughter is a very nice person. If I had my chance, I would marry her in a heartbeat.

Any Northern leader who wants to think about the presidency will need an Igbo VP. It is as simple as that.

Dude, you seem to have the attention span of a fish. Who mentioned my name on this thread? Err, it was'nt you, was it?
Anyways, your tribalistic love for Chima Orlu and the slap down that resulted, is why you took the pathetically cowardly action to drop my name here in the hope of a lynching by your fellow pathetic losers.
Yeah, only losers carry grouses from thread to thread.

Fcking cement head. Is Chima Orlu your daddy?
Again with the insults? Can you make a point without resorting to insults? Or are you just too childish, you have to do this in order to get your point across? All I can say is that it is pathetic. Like I have said before, I have no problem with you. I just called you out on your hypocrisy. Now get over it. I am not the only person who said this, and I wont be the last.

That is a lie! Ezeuche is a shameless tribalist who is in love with Chima Orlu.
Aside from true federalism, the rest of your post is the usual tosh and you aught to be deeply ashamed.

Ok. assuming you aren't an IBB whatever, why the interest in my person from some of you? Am I like Jesus to you? grin
You continue to sully my good name. Each time you mention my name is an insult on myself as a person and my identity. You have to make everything personal with those who do not subscribe to your narrow views. I agree with you on some issues, but you act like a spoiled brat who always have to get his way. Grow up!

Simply stated that Chima Orlu may be a fake name. This is the first time, most of us is hearing this name. And it is might funny, that it is a Igbo name. Sorry, but things do not add up.

Beaf,

I just tell it like it is. I have no ill feelings toward you. Just simply stating your hypocrisy. You blow wherever the wind blows. You show no consistency. And you are not a principled man. First, you were a firm support of Henry Okah, but now it would seem that he has fallen out of grace with your savior, Goodluck Jonathan, you are singing another tune. It is sad to see someone who doesn't stick to principle. Where is your dignity as a man?
