What? He knows people from the Diaspora are afraid to return home for Christmas. |
Minorities fighting each other. |
becomrich suprises me each day. An Igbo-speaking Yoruba. Who would have thought? |
Goodluck has my support o! ![]() |
He will not win. I can assure you all of that. Ikwerre will never allow that to happen. And the Ikwerre I grew up with considered themselves Igbo. |
I support this measure. |
I rescind my comment. |
alj harem:Wrong! Has the northerners faced genocide as they targeted southerners for no reason? The answer is no. |
I concur, you do not belong on that list. That list is incomplete, plus I feel that it is a flawed poll. If Bk.babe with all his rants against the Ndi Igbo is not considered a tribalist, then that speaks volumes about how people view the Ndi Igbo. In my own defense, I only attack those who attack my people. If that makes me a tribalist, then so be it. But I see myself as ethnocentric, yet I do not consider my group superior to anyone. |
MzDarkSkin:Shhhh! lol Dat is an Igbo picture. Is this better?
|
![]() 20 pound policy is still on my mind! |
The same people who have castigated me are the same people I have battled on these threads on behalf of my people Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. That is all I have to say concerning this thread. This "holier than thou" nonsense needs to stop. |
alj harem:NL made me this way. The thousands of threads dedicated to disgracing my people must come to an end. I will deal with the BARBARIAN HORDES (IGBO BASHERS) with righteous vengeance.
|
alj harem:To defend the Igbo people! ![]() |
udezue:Hell no I am not no punk! EzeUche is back. ![]() |
My NL name has been sullied by that fake poll, but I have not been defeated. I'll will pick up the mantle for the Ndi Igbo and battle the hordes who mock my people. My name is EzeUche Flavius Maximus. Time for war. ![]()

That many people think I am a tribalist? I think there is an ethnic bias in this poll, but it is what it is. ![]() |
Obi tasks Ndigbo on dying culture Ndigbo and custodians of Igbo culture and tradition have been charged to join the battle to save the culture and tradition of the race, believed to be on the verge of extinction. Also, Anambra State government is to hold the first ever government-sponsored Christmas carnival in a bid to raise the consciousness of Igbo people on the looming danger. At the just concluded Anambra Cultural Carnival, which is a prelude to the Abuja Carnival this year, the Governor, Mr. Peter Obi, said: “This is just for us to organize and be able to go to Abuja. The contingents of Anambra State have continued to improve annually. We are going to organize a Christmas festival so that when our people come back, they would be able to appreciate what we are doing to our culture. “We chose the period when the rains are over to organize this festival because by that time they would have finished farming and they would be able to spend time together, share ideas and appreciate our culture. “I use this opportunity to call on other governors, traditional rulers and custodians of Igbo culture to emulate what Anambra State has done so far.” Also, the monarch of Nnewi town in Nnewi North Local Government Area, Igwe Kenneth Orizu, lamented that “what is happening today is the pathetic fact that Ndigbo are fast losing their cultural heritage. The advent of the white man’s culture does not mean that we should abandon our roots and our heritage. “But I am glad that people like Professor Pita Ejiofor of “Subakwa-Igbo” organization and others have commenced this campaign to save our language and our culture in general and I urge town union leaders and my fellow traditional rulers to join hands in saving the Igbo culture.” According to Chief Dubem Obaze, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters and Chief Maja Umeh, Commissioner for Information and Culture who jointly organized the carnival, “What we are doing is not just to showcase Igbo culture and tradition but to also make it a material for export to the outside world. “Anambra is not known for crime as people think, we are peace-loving people and by what you saw today. It goes to prove that the administration of Governor Peter Obi is at the fore front of restoring the past glories, respect and dignity of Ndigbo and that is just what we are doing.” Director of Information in the ministry, Mr. Godwin Uchechukwu Nwofor, explained that “If you look around you here, the array of cultural activities shows that Anambra State is very much prepared. Last year, I led the carnival team and we were able to win three medals. Two silver, one bronze in masquerade and such other categories. This year, we are aiming at being able to get a gold.” http://www.independentngonline.com/DailyIndependent/Article.aspx?id=23426

I remember when I first heard about this, many Nigerians were running around crazy. Not going to name from which group. |
DapoBear, You have a lot to learn about Nigerian politics. Let me tell you something. Learn about the East, before you comment on it. However, I have noticed this amongst your people. Ignorance of others. We Igbos are so widely traveled throughout Nigeria, we know a lot about other groups. We have Igbos who speak hundreds of different tongues. Lived and was raised amongst those people. Some can even pass for members of that group. It would be beneficial for us since we will understand our enemies. When the time is right, we will call for our kin and these far flung areas. If we can compete economically in hostile areas, I am pretty sure we can compete militarily. The Igbos economic acumen is known far and wide, it is time to show our military prowess. |
DapoBear:The fact in the matter is that there are not any Biafran "militants." All we have is peaceful demonstrators in the form of MASSOB. Igbos haven't turned to violence since Biafra, but that can always change. That is why I stated you better hope that Igbos do not look to violence to solve our problems. Igbos invest everywhere. We can lose our property in Lagos, we can lose our property in Abuja, as long as we have our jewel Enugu and Port Harcourt, we will be ok. Igbos who invest in another man's land desserves to lose their wealth. It serves them right. My family invested in Igboland and we are doing fine. Business is good, so it will not be any loss to us. And you do know oil can be found throughout Eastern Nigeria? Crude light flows throughout the East from Rivers State to Imo and Abia State. There is also a presence of oil in Anambra State. The fact in the matter is that oil has not been tapped in Igboland, because we Igbos have seen the exploitation of the Ijaws and other minority groups. The FG wouldn't dare tap into the oil in Igboland. |
fstranger:I could have figured you are an Awoist. That explains everything. My Awolowo thread must have awaken you. |
DapoBear:What are you talking about? The Igbos can mobilize themselves in any minute. We did it before, we can do it again. We are the only group, besides our allies the Ibibio and Ogoni who battled the Nigerian military in open warfare. No other group can say this. And we are the only people who can destroy Nigeria. Without the East, Nigeria is nothing. I can see you do not know the dynamics of the East. We Igbos make up 75% of the entire population of the entire region East of the River Niger. We are found throughout the South-South. Especially in Rivers and Delta State with some communities in Bayelsa. The Ijaws learned from the Igbo and any person who says that the Igbo have not shown that we have the ability to fight is seriously deluded. You insult 30+ million Igbos in Nigeria with your assertion. |
DeLaRue:He is even worse than bk.babe. I never seen such PURE HATE coming from a Nigerian. I have seen disparaging remarks, but not to this extreme. He bragged about partaking in the killing of innocent Igbos which is totally unacceptable. And it is unforgivable. I take that ish personal. |
OPC may be preparing for war. I never encountered these individuals though. |
isale_gan2:Buchi Emecheta is an interesting choice. I only have read one of her novels and that was "The Rape of Shavi." It was a good novel. She is very underrated. |
