Rgp92:Why would there be a tribal war? I am just stating obvious in which the Igbo man is good at business. Yes, they are making Nigeria proud, even though they would not be recognized for their achievements. |
Nothing is more pathetic than grown men begging for positions that should be rightfully theirs. The Igbo Nation should not have to beg, what should rightfully be ours! |
aloy/emeka:Of course! It makes perfect sense. Trust an Igbo man to make money anywhere. ![]() |
I predicted this to happen. . . ![]() |
mikeansy:The only person who can say I told you so, is I. ![]() I neither supported Buhari or GEJ in the beginning. My anger was directed at all the Igbo elite for selling their birthright. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-643578.0.html |
Let it be known I shared Eziachi's sentiment, but I would have liked for the Ndigbo to support an APGA produced candidate. Eziachi supported Buhari, which is something I could not do. My own father supported Buhari for the same reasons. |
alj_harem:If you think the masses do not care, then you do not really know the southeast. Of course the southeast people are seeing this an insult, that all of people, a minority is backstabbing us after we gave him our support. |
dayokanu:And now that decrepit old man Benjamin Adekunle lives not too far from where I stay in Washington DC, full of regrets and nightmares. There is also not a whimper for your foolish uncle who was boy-boy for the Hausa. |
What else is new from this region? ![]() |
Onlytruth do not talk to dayokanu. Look at his patronizing words. Like he hopes we have learned a lesson. Who the hell does this boy think he is? He is not even worthy of a response. He still harbors resentment that his scar faced uncle was dealt with by our people, due to his corrupt nature. |
Onlytruth:Ebitu Ukiwe is still active and remains strong. ![]() https://www.igbobasics.com/gallery/images/Ebitu%20Ukiwe.jpg |
Would you rather me call him a canoe maker instead of a fisherman? Does my words need tact. Sorry, but I do respect backstabbers. If you think I will accept this betrayal, then you must think I am a fool. I have always been someone who is not known for my words. There is nothing diplomatic about my words. I have been accused on NL by some of my fellow Igbos, by not being a true Igbo due to my undiplomatic words. Now people are starting to dance to my rhythm. If the fisherman wants to betray us, then this polity will be in flames. |
Onlytruth:Gbam! Gbam! Gbam! |
Rhino.5dm:Poverty stricken region? This has to be a cruel joke. The s/east has the lowest poverty incidences in all of Nigeria. We do not have beggars like the ones found in the North and s/west. We already have the proof that shows the s/east has less incidences of poverty than any other region. Now show all of Nairaland where it is said otherwise. Or as usual, are you just speaking from your arse? All you do is spew crap, which means you are full of shyyyyttttt |
Onlytruth:It is alright my Igbo brother. We all were swept by the joys of lending support for our so called brother. I doubted him from the beginning, but I finally became optimistic about him and this eased by hard line stance against him. We all hoped that he would correct past wrongs, but he has shown that he is untrustworthy. There were warnings, in which he was not afraid to sack Igbo ministers and leave ministers from other regions in their place. The time is now to pull our support from him. How can he can manage a political terrain, where he is not wanted by the North and the s/west does not give a damn about his presidency? He needs us more than we need him. If he wants to play this game, then so be it. He can take all of his ministerial positions and other fancy titles to someone else. |
^^^ Who said I wanted to be in a nation with your people? Reread my response before you comment. "While my people and the Yoruba people can form our own nation-states and progress." What do you think I mean by nation-states? Isn't that plural dumb arse? I can see grammar is not your friend. |
archive:We shall not continue to wait for other sections of this country. Why should other regions in the country have the shoulder the burden for other sections. It is not like we are the same people. Self-determination is our God given right and no one can take it away from us. |
Festus Mbisiogu and Emma Ojukwu is making us proud. ![]() |
Now this thread should be on the front page. I wonder why it isn't? ![]() |
kasiem:I don't want any dealings with the North. We must focus on our own region and our own problems. Inviting outsiders is not in our best interest. |
archive:I leave you with a few words, because this is derailing the topic: SOUTHERN SUDAN did it, why can't we? |
And there is no hope in sight. These people will continue to practice their backwards customs for many more centuries to come. That is why I say leave them to their own problems, while my people and the Yoruba people can form our own nation-states and progress. |
archive:If you think redrawing the map is not a problem, then you need your head examined. That is like saying that the Germans or French should be in one nation or the Japanese and Chinese should be in one nation. Do you know how idiotic that sounds? So why should it be different for Africa, on Nigeria to be specific. None of the major groups like each other for obvious reasons. Heck, my people lost 2 million souls in order to keep this crappy country one. People act like, because we all have black skin, that we should be united. There has never been in our history in pre-colonial Africa or Nigeria in its 50 year history as the people who lived in this nation has ever been united. If you can give me one time period where all of our people have been united, I would like to see. No, we are not moving on. A fool at 50 will always be a fool. How many of my people have to be killed to keep this nation one? Answer this simple question. |
archive:The colonialist dream was to keep Nigeria one, without any concern for the people who lived within the region. One day Africans will learn that the map of Africa needs to be redrawn instead of keeping this relic of a colonial legacy. |
It is time to for the Ndigbo to heat up this polity. We have been quiet for far too long. We have taken insults ever since our inglorious defeat of Biafra. As I said before, there will be a reckoning. |
^^^ Who is this buffoon? What business does it concern you about Igbo affairs? Learn to stay out of our politics. And when was the last time you heard any Igbo giving a damn about s/west politics? |
The fisherman is just making it easy for us Igbos to unite. We were united in propelling him to Aso Rock. Now he is uniting us against Nigeria's PDP experiment. How many times must we Igbos be mocked, even when we do something right, by allowing a minority from the Niger Delta to see the presidency? How many times does the Ndigbo have to bare the brunt of Nigeria's tribal politics, when we support a candidate who is not our own? Enough is enough my brothers. We the Ndigbo must take our own destiny by the horns. Have we forgotten the bravery and courage of our great people? Have we forgotten the lessons our ancestors have taught us, which took a millennium to create. The time is now my brothers! We must rise up from our slumber and make sure that we will not be kicked around any longer. |
And like I said, the silence coming from the so called 'South-South' is starting to piss me off. When we lent our support to one of their own brothers, they now support people who did not support their own brother. We acted like friends to these people only for them to stab us in the back. Now it is time for us to put these ungratedful bastardds in their place and start claiming what is our own. We the Ndigbo own half of the Niger Delta. The 'South-South' is majority Igbo. And we shall not allow for the balkanization of our people to happen any longer. We tried to be diplomatic wit these people. We tried to be friendly with these people, and now look at them. It is Igbo first and Igbo only. If you have a problem with that, then go drown yourself in sorrow. |
I am playing the same politics that my predecessors wouldn't. Nnamdi Azikiwe and Aguiyi-Ironsi refuse to play the tribal politics game and we the, Ndigbo, lost out. And are still suffering for their optimism. I only care about my people. I should have never had changed my views on this fisherman. I knew from the beginning he would betray us. And now we have some foolish Igbos on this thread who continue to have a nationalistic view. How dare you tell us true Igbo sons and daughters that we are being tribalistic, when other regions practice it more than us. I also think it is hypocritical for the Ndi Yoruba to concern themselves with our issues. Stay in the damn s/west and allow us Igbos to sort out our own affairs. That is a WARNING. |
I really hope these so called Igbo leaders do decamp to APGA. And by one insult, the Ndigbo will make PDP a minority party. Brilliant! ![]() |
Beaf, as long as OBJ continues to be involved in PDP and has Jonathan's ear, we the Ndigbo will not be respected. Jonathan has chosen to side with OBJ, and therefore must suffer the consequences from his betrayal. And there is nothing wrong with being the underdog. Watch out for our uppercut. https://www.poyi.org/61/11/photos/01.jpg |
