True, I did not see any mention of South East in the article.
PoliticsRe: Who Is A Lagosian ? by EzeUche2(m): 5:35pm On May 18, 2011
Anyone can be a Lagosian. It is a neutral city. grin

I hear more pidgin English than I hear Yoruba when I am in Lagos.

Technically, I want a split North/South country. I rather have a country with 70 million people and growing instead of 150 million with an Islamic terrorist menace growing in the North. We are already looking like Pakistan.

Because of patriotism and a shared history of struggle.

In Nigeria, only certain groups have struggled.

What I googled on the internet  tongue

Anyhoo, why are u doing an MBA without even working or anything for some time. Kind of seems weird. No wonder you have too much time on your hands.
Who said I am not working?  tongue All I do is look at spreadsheets each day. It can get quite tedious, so NL is a nice outlet that I use to let off some steam.

I was surprised to hear that it cost N400 per bag in China. One importer Mr Iweta lamented the monoploy being enjoyed by dangote as killing the competition. He said he can sell at a lower price if allowed to import into Nigeria.
That is probably right. We know how Nigeria likes to protect Dangote's industries, but allow other industries in certain sectors to compete with suppliers from other countries, mainly China.
PoliticsRe: Cement Decrease Very Difficult - Dangote by EzeUche2(m): 2:46pm On May 18, 2011
How can you ask a public company to lower their prices? Dangote has to pass on the operating cost to the customers in order to make a profit. Asking him to lower the price will cut into the bottom line.

Companies are here to make money.

We Igbos are bragging about building up Lagos, but charity begins at home. What stops some of you from investing in Enugu, Owerri, Onitsha, Nnewi, Aba and other cities in Igboland? There is so much potential in Igboland, people just have to tap into it. . .

I am the pessimist amongst my Igbo brothers. I have no problem with the optimism, but it should be guarded.

Yes, I would like investments in Alaigbo. Igbos need to look to our homeland. Industrialization of the East is the only way forward. Onitsha and Aba must be made into commercial titans in not only Nigeria, but West Africa in general.

Whats up with the calabar port?
Is it meant for import or export?
Why use pristine Calabar like that, when there is Port Harcourt? Port Harcourt is more of a commercial city than Calabar will ever be.

My brothers say otherwise. undecided Anyway, until I see tangible change instead of just words, I will take a wait and see approach.

In addition, I see no mention of the South East specifically in this article.

Nwanne, it has started.

I know you've been disappointed by the political intrigues in Abuja but realistically, Ndigbo want a powerful regional economic hub.

I see this guy fulfilling the initiatives to that effect. He has his sights set. He knows what's up. Calm down, we're almost there. You will smile soon.

SE, here I come. I must be part of this industrial age and transformation.  I must relocate the HQ of my company from London to Alaigbo. cool
The Ndigbo need people like me who will remain watchful of those who do not have the Igbo best interest at heart.

As long OBJ is around Jonathan, I will be wary of their plans for the Ndigbo. . .

However, I do hope to find industrialization of the East. Especially in Abia, the commercial heartland.

It shall come to pass. I know GEJ got a big plan for the South East. I hope his reign will signal the end of FG's absence in Igboland.
Let us just wait and see before we make such proclamations.

These numbers are quite appalling for the North. We all know who are bringing Nigeria down.
