Chyz*:It seems like they will accept this treatment, which is even more disheartening. |
Boko Haram: Police beef up security in 7 states By KINGSLEY OMONOBI ABUJA-TO thwart any possible attack by the Boko Haram sect, the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Hafiz Ringim, has beefed up security in about seven states including Borno, Bauchi, Kaduna, Niger, Plateau and Kano. Ringim, also said yesterday that the post-election violence which engulfed parts of the country could not have been avoided. Fielding questions from newsmen at the post-election debriefing of DIGs, AIGs and Commissioners of Police at the force headquarters, Ringim explained that the tactics of massively deploying police personnel for the conduct of the elections which resulted in its success will be replicated in dealing with the Boko Haram problem. Ringim stated that the violence which led to the killing of nine NYSC members was spontaneous hence could not have been prevented. He, however, pointed out that the swift response by security agencies was what matters under such circumstances as incidents like that occur over of the world. Ringim added that police personnel were part of the society and deserved to be encouraged when they perform creditably. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/05/boko-haram-police-beef-up-security-in-7-states/ |
Calculia:There shall not be any unity in Nigeria. If it hasn't happened in 50 years, why expect it to happen now. Worry about your own people before worrying about another group. Put Igboland first. |
Ileke-IdI:No one is whining. It is more anger. Do not mistake anger for whining. anger: –noun 1. a strong feeling of displeasure and belligerence aroused by a wrong; wrath; ire. whine: -noun 1. a feeble, peevish complaint. |
I was the first Ndigbo on NL to criticize Jonathan a year ago. My brother on NL silenced me and wanted me to join their cause. In April, I directed my anger at Igbo leaders for their support of Jonathan. I was silenced again. Then I became optimistic of Jonathan. I should have went with my INSTINCTS. My threads from last year can be seen. My April thread can be seen NOW! |
Chyz*:I weep my brother. These Igbo men are not fit to be called men. Our beloved ancestors would weep. Igbo women have more strength than these men. |
bk.babe97y:And you need to stop bending over for random akata DL men who pound you in your arse. |
alexleo:I saw the big picture a year ago, when Jonathan said he would run. The biggest losers are the Ndigbo. I don't care what anyone says. . . And any Igbo who is foolish enough to not think so, is just as foolish as our leaders. Some Igbos are too dumb for politics. |
Calculia:Yes, it is very simple. Let GEJ fend for himself. I am sure OBJ will lead him in the "right" direction. |
apoti:I am always willing to roll the dice. The world is very different from 40 years ago. |
Sometimes I feel like Okonkwo. When my people should be outraged, many are fine with what happened. "Okonkwo stood looking at the dead man. He knew that Umuofia would not go to war. He knew because they had let the other messengers escape. They had broken into tumult instead of action. He discerned fright in that tumult. He heard voices asking: 'Why did he do it?'" -Chinua Achebe, Things Fall Apart, Ch. 24 |
SEE the reality table below: 1st: President 2nd: Vice President 3rd: Senate President 4th: Speaker of the House 5th: THE office of the Chief Justice Nigeria (CJN) 6 7 8 9 . . . . . 50th . . . . . . . 101st:, S. G. F. It is as simple as that. The writing is on the wall. |
I pray that Igbos will rise up again like we did before. It has only been 40 years since our last uprising. |
OAM4J:There is no "partly' in it. It is either you identify with the Igbo SOLELY or you are not Igbo. |
OAM4J:That is not what we wanted. And they can take it back. . . ![]() |
dem_people:Your eyes are open. Spread the word to many of our brothers and sisters. The SE PDP needs to go. They are weak and do not serve our interest. |
dem_people:This was the ultimate betrayal in my eyes. Jonathan did not even fight for us. With his actions, all support from the Ndigbo populace has dried up. |
^^^ Now you see my anger. Oh Ibiam, oh Okpara, oh Wachuku, oh Osadebay, I miss thee! True Igbo leaders of a distant past. |
lepasharon:Which will sink into the sea, because of rising sea levels. Like we care. . . Enjoy that overglorified slum. |
Beaf:We, the Igbos of the SE are not amused by Jonathan's actions so far. A region that gave him the bulk of his votes and a people who are found all across Nigeria that voted for him in large numbers. Let me say it again, We are not amused. We do not want any ministerial position, in which he can discard us at any time. It is either the Speaker position, which we earned through our votes or Jonathan has shown that he has used us for our votes. It is a simple as that. And many of my brothers would agree. https://everyjoe.com/files/2008/09/we-are-not-amused.gif |
