PoliticsRe: Maiduguri, North East Standing Still For Buhari by EzeUchenna: 9:43pm On Mar 06, 2011

You all have a lot to learn. GEJ is going to win and win for one main reason. No matter what you all say, the United States supports his candidacy. And what the U.S. wants, they will get. Even if it goes against the people.

Not saying that it is right, but they would rather see a Niger Deltan as president to protect their economic interest in the region.

Wadeoye:
When you add the north to even only half of the South West , who cares about SS and SE?  Even if everybody in the SS and SE vote for GEJ, that will only amount to 14 million votes. This will not deny Buhari presidency come April 9.
You do know many in the SS or SE are in other regions? Including the North and SW. That can put a damper on your expectations.

Sorry, but GEJ has been ordained to win this election. It is his election to lose.

I didnt ask anyone to take my analogy "as is". That was not my intention.[/quote]Maybe you should read about Herbert Macaulay. I am not going to insult you with this post, but Herbert Macaulay, was truly a Nationalist. He was a good Yoruba man who loved all Nigerians no matter where they hailed from. His protoge Nnamdi Azikiwe tried to take up his mantle.
PoliticsRe: Maiduguri, North East Standing Still For Buhari by EzeUchenna: 9:13pm On Mar 06, 2011
He has a massive following in the North. That is where the core of his support comes from. Why wouldn't he have big crowds in this region? Just, because the North supports him does not mean Nigeria supports him.

The SS and the South-East does not support him.

I don't know about the South-West or Middle Belt though.

Iran is not a unified country. Some people enjoy their theocracy and their particular democracy works for them. The small urban dwellers want a revolution, but the rural countryside support the Ayatollahs and President Ahmedinijad.

Beaf,

So I am traitor for not supporting military action against Cameroon?  huh

But you support self-determination? Make up your mind. You rather this colonial made country wage war against our cousins to the East?

That is like saying a Hausa from Nigeria going to war with a Hausa from Niger. They would never do that.

has nothing to do with growing up there or not. you act like you're the only one with family in the East.
do you really think I wanna hear stories about how my family has been slaughtered like mosquitoes all in the name of "freedom"
GET REAL!
My dear, you will understand that you going against the POV from the East. I was born and raised in the East. Grew up in Port Harcourt. You will not find much patriotism in the East. All you hear is grumbling and anger.

You would not understand. Heck some Igbos raised in Lagos would never understand either. These same people who mock the Igbo on these boards are the same one who smile in real life to their Igbo friends. They can turn on us in a second.

Well there are parallels between your views and Hitler's whether you acknowledge them or not.

1) Hitler an ethnic German hated being a citizen of the multi ethnic multicultural Austro-Hungarian empire

2) Hitler felt the Germans were victimised by the allies in the aftermath of the first world war

3) Hitler encouraged and violently agitated for self-determination of ethnic Germans throughout central Europe.
I see you know your history.  grin

1) You were right about HItler being an ethnic German, but was raised in Austria.
2) The Germans felt victimized, because they were victimized. The French made them pay huge sums for the war debt that the French accumulated. The allies did victimized Germany and many Germans wanted revenge.
3) Hitler did not come to power through violence, he was elected by the German people!

I am going to go easy on you cause you are a little cutie. If I don't care about my region, who will? You think the Igbos are joking about being marginalized. I can give you a tour of the East. Lets take a look at the lack of infrastructure. Let me take you to the creeks of the Niger Delta and see the pollution.

Yes, I support self-determination so you can go somewhere with your nonsense.

Yet Yet Yet. The point is perhaps unconsciously you sound more and more like Adolf Hitler when he wrote his famous Mein Kampf in the aftermath of the German defeat in the first world war.

You should be clever enough to realise though that such Hitlerite ideas have no place in the 21st century.
Are you trying to compare Biafra with Nazi Germany? Wow!  shocked

HItler hated the Jews, I don't hate anyone. I just believe in self-determination. My people have a right to vote to be out of this union. Is that so hard for you people to understand.

Nigeria cannot even protect the integrity of the East from CAMEROON! angry

Hey Mr EzeUchenna why don't you forget Biafra

Many lifes were lost because of it. sad

Besides I have many friends who are Northerners cheesy
So because you have northern friends, we should not have a Biafra?  huh

That is very selfish of you.

Lets see if your friends would be there for you if you are in the north and a riot starts. Lets see how fast Farouk or Ishmael be singing Allaha Akbar while they run after you.

@ Ezeuche

You should have used your ban as an opportunity to take time out of Nigerian politics and your pathological obsession with the Nigerian civil war.
Why be obsessed with the civil war, when my true objective is to have independence. The war happened in the past, I am looking for Biafra to rise from the ashes.

As much as you people want us Igbos to forget Biafra, we will NEVER! We tasted FREEDOM and it taste very good.

I will always support Biafra. If you have a problem with that, then you can go kick rocks. I am not looking to the past, I am looking to an independent Eastern Nigeria.
