The Acts Of Apostle Suleman BY RUDOLF OKONKWOMAR 20, 2017 “Few days after he was born, some Prophets came from Warri to Benin (the place of his birth) with a message from God. When his parents desired to know what the message was, they said God told them “a prophet who would minister in God’s presence has been born.” His parents refused to listen further because they were Muslims and did not see the possibility of their son leaving their fold.” From Apostle Suleman’s website biography. Just like Prophet T.B. Joshua and other self-styled church leaders of their kind, little is known about the life of Apostle Suleman. The biography on his church's website simply proclaimed how he was born in a Muslim household and some prophets came and declared that the child would be a prophet. As he grew up, he battled with the prophesy; he read the Bible three times and one day he read Acts of Apostle 10: 38 and his eyes were opened, and he saw his mandate. There is no record of where he went to school and what he studied. And there is no record of where he worked before he joined the vineyard. Like Jesus, he disappeared at a certain age and reemerged a preacher. Apostle Suleman founded Omega Fire Ministry in 2004 in Auchi, Edo State and today it has over 40 branches across the world. The church is currently building an auditorium that can take 70,000 people. It also has a vibrant television station, Celebration TV, from where his message is heard across the world. He would've had his own private jet if not that he rejected one that was given to him as a gift. These are classic steps in the making of modern day prosperity preachers. To break out of the multitude of them, Apostle Suleman used his yearly prophecies to make himself famous. He dished them out at the beginning of each year, and because nobody goes back to check their accuracies at the end of the year, the more brazen the prophecies were, the bigger the newspaper headlines. And the more newspaper front page he gets, the better it is for his church and his bottom line. Apostle Suleman was good at reading the trends and predicting what might happen. He was daring, like predicting someone’s death. Why not, when there are no consequences for failure. Apostle Suleman also stood out for the way he embraced Nollywood actors and actresses in his acts. He brought them to his church and gave out gifts to these big screens and big ego characters. They, in return, helped to cast him as a hip preacher who relates well across all classes of the society. Systematically, he blurred the lines between entertainment and religion. While his competitors only modeled their church after business franchises, he had an edge by integrating entertainment and Nollywood glitz to his repertoire. And how could we forget, he performs miracles, too. He does not perform small miracles like driving his car from Ore to Lagos with an empty fuel tank. He makes the cripple ‘walk’ and raises the ‘dead’ - classic miracles of Jesus days. And that is all you need to become anointed in Nigeria. And Apostle Suleman was anointed. Being anointed is like being a governor or a president in Nigeria -it grants you immunity against prosecution. Nobody can hold you accountable for your actions. It doesn’t matter how egregious the action is. For governors and presidents, the immunity ends when they leave office. For prophets, apostles and pastors, it is a lifetime privilege. All was well. Apostle Suleman was living his dream life, doing whatever he liked without any worry of potential consequences until he stepped into the political arena. His first adventure into politics occurred when Kaduna state government floated a bill that would demand registration of religious organizations in the state. Apostle Suleman fumed. He predicted that Gov. El-Rufai would die if he went ahead to sign the bill. He immediately got the attention of the nation. And as the Fulani herdsmen killings escalated, the Apostle jumped in. He spoke out in support of Christians, boasting that he had ordered his people to kill any Fulani Herdsman who mistakenly comes near his church. That was all that was needed for the internal demons that he has been dealing with to come out in the open. In his own words, “the marine spirits” came after him. Apostle Johnson SulemanIt was not that the married Apostle Suleman was having affairs with other women that was his undoing. Men do that every day. It’s not that he was denying it; men who do such thing deny it every day. It was not that he preached against such behavior yet partook in it; that is the stock in trade of self-righteous preachers all over time. It was not that he was throwing stones when he lived in a glass house. Apostle Suleman’s undoing was that he was throwing stones and hoping that his hands would not show. Verily, verily, I say unto you, something is wrong with a country that has more churches, mosques, and shrines than it has schools. Something is wrong with a country that has more pastors, imams, and chief priests than doctors and nurses. Something is wrong with a country that quotes more scriptures than science; embraces more superstition than rational thinking, and profess a better understanding of angels in heaven than the species of plants and animals in the forest next door. Something is wrong with a country where it is easier to hold a petty thief accountable than it is to hold a politician or a self-styled prophet or apostle accountable. Something is wrong with a country where the prophets and the politicians own more private jets than performers in business and in the arts. That is the world where the Founder and General Overseer of Omega Fire Church, Apostle Johnson Suleman comes from. It is a world that must pass away for a more useful nation to emerge. Saharareporters has confirmed from multiple sources that the house in front of which curvy Nollywood actress Daniella Okeke last year showcased on Instagram a Mercedes-Benz GL450 was, like the car, purchased for her by the controversial pastor. After buying it for N40m, the controversial ‘Man of God’ then spruced it up with N120million before handing it over to Ms. Okeke, who is one of the women romantically linked with him. The property, which has two duplexes, is located on Alaobi Street, off Okey Okeke Drive in Arowojobe Estate in the Mende-Maryland area of Lagos. It was initially owned by fashion designer Adedayo David Eweje, who owns fashion company “David Wej.” Saharareporters reached out to Mr. Eweje who admitted selling the duplex before 2013 but claimed he didn’t know to whom the house was sold or who the present occupant is. He said the transaction was handled by his lawyers, who are also in possession of the paperwork. Our sources, however, insisted Mr. Eweje was definitely aware that the front duplex was purchased by Apostle Suleman, as they did meet several times before the deal was completed. Our reporters visited the house yesterday but attempt to speak with the occupants were unfruitful as no one answered the door. When we attempted to get back in there early today, security at the entrance of the estate had been beefed up significantly, obviously to ward off media interest in the area. Security men stationed at the gate of the Arowojobe Estate location of the house said the only way to gain access is to get the occupant to fetch you from the gate. Shortly after we revealed that a Lagos State Motor Vehicle Registry had inadvertently revealed that Suleman registered the vehicle, the state-owned website curiously tried to scrub Apostle Suleman’s name off the website as the owner, but the original story was retrieved through a web archive search, which clearly maintained the ownership record of the car. Following the latest revelations in the public domain, Apostle Suleman has declared that he is taking the battle of his exposed infidelity to a “spiritual” realm. Daniella Okeke In a statement through Phrank Shuaibu, his spokesperson, the pastor asked members of his church to desist from engaging in a media war. This ceasefire is in stark difference to a fiery message he gave last Friday asking his followers to unfriend anyone on Facebook who might have a negative opinion about him. At that time, he also urged his church management to remove from its employment anyone caught sharing on social media any stories about his sex scandals. Saharareporters learnt that Apostle Suleman left Nigeria last night for Washington DC where he is billed to address a crusade for three days. The Suleman sex scandal became public two weeks ago when he colluded with some federal police officers to arrest a Canadian-based musician, Stephanie Otobo, with whom he had a romantic relationship. As soon as Saharareporters broke this story, the police hurriedly filed terrorism and blackmail charges against Ms. Otobo, entangling her in a protracted legal imbroglio that stalled her bail from prison for three days. When she regained freedom, Ms. Otobo took the time to explain in detail her sexual encounters with Apostle Suleman, detailing how the controversial pastor funded her lifestyle, including flying her to the United States, Europe, and Nigeria for sex, and promised to marry her. http://saharareporters.com/2017/03/13/how-apostle-suleman-bought-real-estate-nollywood-actress-daniella-okeke-lagos |
Johnson Suleman, the controversial Nigerian pastor at the center of an adultery scandal gave a $76,000 brand-new Mercedes-Benz 450 GL to Nollywood star Daniella Okeke in 2016, an official Lagos State website shows. Ms. Okeke was previously named by Stephanie Otobo, Apostle Suleman’s estranged lover, as being one of the other women in his life. For her part, the actress in 2016 proudly displayed the Mercedes-Benz SUV GL 450 on her Instagram page in front of a brand-new house where she parked it. After her name was revealed by Ms. Otobo at a press conference covered extensively by Saharareporters, some Nigerians invaded Ms. Okeke’s Instagram questioning the source of her wealth given that she has not featured in any prominent movies in recent years. The more inquisitive among them took advantage of a new website for vehicle registration in Lagos State which unveils the ownership of any vehicles by its number due to a bug on the webpage, and discovered that one of Ms. Okeke’s most prized possessions, the posh Mercedes-Benz car, is registered to “Apostle Suleman Johnson.” This discovery is the second window into the pastor’s private life following the one opened by Ms. Otobo, but he has vigorously denied the amorous relationship she claims to have had with him. Last week, Ms. Otobo was arrested and detained by Apostle Suleman, who procured some federal police officers to rough up the woman. She was behind bars for a few nights. Ms. Otobo had insisted that Apostle Suleman impregnated her following sex romps in Italy, New York and Nigeria. The pastor denied the allegations and threatened to sue SaharaReporters for reporting the story. On Thursday, he also threatened Festus Keyamo, whose law office in Lagos is representing Ms. Otobo, demanding an apology and the payment to him of N1bn for blackmail and injury. In a rebuttal on Friday, the law office denied that Mr. Keyamo, its Head of Chambers, was actively involved in the matter, as he has been in Abuja. http://saharareporters.com/2017/03/11/apostle-johnson-suleman-bought-mercedes-benz-450-gl-nollywood-actress-daniella-okeke |
The Canada-based lady involved in an alleged marriage scandal with the overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries, Johnson Suleman, has said that her affair with the cleric involved a lot of sex. Stephanie Otobo, speaking at a press conference in Lagos on Friday, said she spent time with Mr. Suleman in Naples, New York, and Lagos. “Most of the times we spent together, we had sex,” Ms. Otobo told journalists. “I refused to have a party with him because I’m not a lesbian and I don’t like women touching me. “He told me he did that with all his past girlfriends, that I was the only one (who refused), that it’s very rude that I can do that to him.” Ms. Otobo and Mr. Suleman (popularly known as Apostle Suleman) have been engaged in accusations and counter-accusations this week with the lady insisting the pastor reneged on a marriage promise made last year. Mr. Suleman denies the claims, insisting he never met the lady. On Thursday, the cleric threatened to sue Festus Keyamo, Ms. Otobo’s lawyer, demanding a retraction of his client’s allegation of forceful abortion of her pregnancy, among other allegations, and N1 billion as damages. ‘Sex, money’ During the week, Ms. Otobo, 23, had released explicit photographs of herself and Mr. Suleman in a phone conversation, a revelation her critics said was a photoshop. She also said the cleric had confided in her that sexual relations with his wife was virtually non-existent. On Friday, inside Mr. Keyamo’s Lagos office, journalists pressed her for more evidence – an incontrovertible one like bank statements, phone records, messages. After Ms. Otobo had said she had more explicit photos of Mr. Suleman, including one he was holding his penis, a reporter asked her the size of Mr. Suleman’s manhood and to rate his performance in bed. “Is it big? Is it small?” the reporter elucidated, about the size. “Well…it’s not very small, it’s an average size,” Ms. Otobo responded. “He’s very good (in bed), he likes to end it off on the back, on your back all the time, I don’t know why. “And also, even while sleeping, he doesn’t wanna stop, he’s dozing off he goes ‘continue,’ I go ‘Daddy, you’re sleeping.’ He doesn’t wanna stop; he wants to keep going while sleeping.” She also said Mr. Suleman hardly eats his meals. “I don’t really get into people that much, that don’t wanna talk, I focus more on him and me. If I’m poke-nosing, I don’t think I will last with him that long. “But I know he can’t eat, because I can say things that I saw when spending time with him. He has… I don’t know you know when a wicked brother when no one is pursuing them, he just can’t eat, he’s worried, he’s always worried. “He can’t eat, he wants me to pet him to eat, then I’ll beg him ‘Daddy please eat,’ and he goes ‘I love you so much.'” In his response to Ms. Otobo, whom he claimed was a self-confessed stripper based in Canada, Mr. Suleman denied ever having a physical contact with the lady, saying they only communicated via phone. But the lady said they had spent time in hotels in Naples, Italy; New York, and Lagos between June 2015 when they met and last year. “We were in New York together, two months after I left Napoli. Then he invited me to Nigeria. We were always having sex,” she said. “In Nigeria, we stayed at Protea Hotel in Ikeja. there’s another hotel after Airport Hotel; there’s a gas station, there’s a new hotel on your right, that’s where he gave me something to drink. I thought it was juice, he brought it, he said let’s drink together, and then he didn’t want to drink, he wanted to eat. [Apostle Johnson Suleman] “The night he gave me 8,000 Euros, he was trying to show me that this was real and it would never end, I think he was trying to capture me both physically, spiritually, and mentally. Giving somebody so much money, you’re trying to capture them so that without you, they cannot live, because you wanna make yourself their god, that’s what he was trying to do. “When he came, he was like, ‘this was all I realized today, here you go,’ on the table. Then he said this is how much I love you. After the three days crusade (in Naples), he collected all the money, I was inside, and said, ‘this is all I realized.’ He gave me everything. “He told me this was discreet, we couldn’t even call a taxi in the morning when he wanted to discharge me, he had to take a walk with me from his hotel by 4 a.m. to my hotel. I was worried because it could be dangerous, in a place where I don’t know, a new country and everything. He walked me to my hotel and stayed till 7 am and went back to his hotel. He said because we have to be discreet, we cannot call a taxi.” Ms. Otobo said she didn’t save up enough evidence because she didn’t know “all of these would be happening.” She also said most of her evidence were lost after her laptop was stolen on arrival at the Lagos airport last year. “I wanted to get rid of him and deleted his number, everything. It was when I suspected something was going on, last year, it was when I started gathering evidence. Police investigation The police, last Monday, arraigned Ms. Otobo before a Chief Magistrate Court in Lagos on a four-count charge of terrorism, fraud, and blackmail. She pleaded not guilty. At Friday’s press conference, Ms. Otobo called upon the police to check her bank records to see how Mr. Suleman sent her money directly from his bank account. “Apart from the cash that he gives me, like a lot of cash that he gives me. I’m not talking about 8,000 Euros, I’m not talking about 12,000 Dollars in two weeks,” she said. “If I was a cheap prostitute, how much do you send a cheap prostitute in Canada all the way from Nigeria. I’m based in Canada I’m sure there are a lot of women that needs money here in Nigeria, how many women or cheap prostitutes has he sent money here in Nigeria? “We are petitioning the police on that. And also the issue of photoshopping pictures, in between the photoshopped pictures there should be an original copy if the pictures were photoshopped, it must be photoshopped from something, he should provide that. Because I have the cell phones that I used to take the pictures, I still have every original pictures. Apostle Suleman Likes Too Much Sex, Threesomes & Once Gave Me Proceeds Of Crusades - Stephanie Otobo Apostle Suleman Sex Scandal “Also, the police should check my passport, he took me to Napoli, he had a program there, a conference for three days. The police should check his passport, the period it was stamped to Napoli and check my passport, the period I was stamped to Napoli if it was the same stamp, “He should wake up and face the truth. “I want the police to check on the issue when he gave me substance to drink and that almost cost me my life, this was one of the main reasons that really caused all of this. After I got pregnant, he gave me substance to drink, I started bleeding, stooling blood for over one year. I was so scared and I lost the baby.” Ms. Otobo demanded a public apology from Mr. Suleman. She also told him to publicly apologize to his congregation. “I want him to publicly accept his sins, and beg for forgiveness from God.” Saharareporters.com/2017/03/10/video-apostle-suleman-wanted-party- loves-too-much |

The Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun, Delta State has been included with other Nigerian institutions in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) admissions brochure. Gbenga Ojo reports. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has taken over the admissions procedure of the Petroleum Training Institute(PTI) and other special tertiary Institutions in Nigeria who were not conducting their admissions through JAMB. This, being a recent development, is a Federal Government directive in order to achieve uniformity and smooth admission processes in all the institutions of higher learning, according to the Public Relations Officer of the Institute, Mr. Brown Ukanefimone. The Petroleum Training Institute was established by Act No 37 of September 19, 1972, and subsequently amended by Act 52 of January 1, 1975. The Institute provides courses of Instruction, training and research in oil/gas technology and production of technologists and technicians and other such skilled personnel required for oil production and allied disciplines. PTI's vision is to become the leading oil and gas technological institute in Africa. While her mission is to provide competent technological manpower through quality training, research, and consultancy for the petroleum and allied industries. PTI awards National Diploma, Higher National Diploma and other certificate programmes such as General Welding and has been admitting applicants over the years through entrance examination tagged "PTI Entrance Exam". The exam is usually being conducted in eight ( states across Nigeria namely Delta, Lagos, Rivers, Enugu, Sokoto, Kaduna, Jigawa and Abuja. While Higher National Diploma (HND) applicants go through interviews conducted only in the Institute. With the current development, PTI National Diploma applicants will have to apply for admission through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board and must choose PTI as their first choice. However, those applying for Certificate and Higher National Diploma programmes will still undergo the PTI entrance examinations and interview procedures respectively for their admission. The student affairs Officer of the Institute Mr. Ajima Jackson told Campus Life that it is a welcome development, "though it will deny the Institute of some internal revenue but it will definitely expose PTI more to the world and also makes NYSC mobilization processes easier for the Institute" he added. The President of the Student Union Government, Comrade Theophilus Ukuyoma said "I don't welcome the idea, because it will kill the pride of the Institute. PTI is a special school that was established by an Act, and not like other institutions. I believe that PTI admission processes should be different from others." PTI Alumni General Secretary, Mr. Yahaya Moses said he will support the development only if other special Institutes truly joined the list as it was announced. "JAMB taking over PTI will be a great advantage and open doors to so many aspiring students, but Proper screening should be done after the JAMB in order to maintain the Institute's Glory and Standard." National Association of Yoruba Students PTI Chapter Aare (King), Oba Olumide Ajitowabaje told Campus Life. So many questions that linger on the lips of Nigerian students are, where does PTI now belong-- Oil and Gas sector or Ministry of Education? Will the Standard still remain? Is the Institute deviating from the purpose of which it was established? Mr. Brown Ukanefimone cleared the air when he stated that nothing has Changed about the Institute, and that her purpose still remain the same. "We are only following Federal Government instructions." He said. Safety students during fire drill demostration Ptitat..com.ng |

NNAMDI AZIKWE AIRPORT : US EMBASSY ISSUES SECURITY WARNING TO CITIZENS TRAVELLING WITHIN NIGERIA Nnamdi Azikwe Airport US Embassy issues security warning to citizens travelling within Nigeria Segun Akande The embassy advised citizens to consider their personal safety during trips as the FG plans to close down the Nnamdi Azikwe airport for repairs. The U.S mission to Nigeria has warned citizens and officials to show extra consideration for their personal safety and security as they travel within Nigeria. In a circular issued by the US Embassy on Tuesday, 24 January 2016, American officials were also reminded of existing restrictions on trips to Kaduna, Kano and Port Harcourt. This comes in response to recent announcements by the Federal Government regarding international air travel from the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. On January 5, the FG disclosed that the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja would be closed from March 8 to April 19, 2017, to repair the runway. During that period, local flights will be re-routed to the Kaduna airport while international airlines will suspend flights to Abuja in favour of the airports in Kano, Lagos and Port Harcourt. The United States Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria (Travel Agencies London) The increase in air traffic at the Kaduna airport raises the possibility of attacks and the government recognises this. There are reports of plans to increase police and military presence in and around the airport as well as the rail and road corridors linking Kaduna and Abuja. Still, the US mission acknowledges the threats that exist in high-risk areas such as Port Harcourt as well as Kaduna, where religious violence is making daily headlines. According to the circular, "U.S. officials and their families must receive advance clearance by the U.S. Mission for any travel to or from Kaduna, Kano, and Port Harcourt, including overland transit to airports outside Abuja". This warning further casts doubts on the general state of security as well as the government's efforts to inspire confidence in the safety of lives and property within the country. It also follows a trend of travel restrictions and warnings issued by the US embassy in recent times; the embassy's official site has a security warning advising citizens against travelling to 17 states, including Edo, Kebbi, Rivers and Yobe, due to the risk of armed robbery, attacks and kidnapping. |
