Good evening everyone,

For Canada express entry POF pls is micro finance bank accepted ? An agent told me is acceptable because am aware is not accepted for study visa.

I've heard of a few people who used them, but it's adviceable you use a regular bank to avoid stories that touch.

Please I need a walkthrough of US visa application; documents required, where and how to apply etc

Applying as a PR

Canada dey the title of this thread, you con dey find US data for here.

Check through the travel page, you'd see lots of US threads there.

Your question would be better answered on any of those US threads.

Hello my people,

Please what can someone do again, asides, calling IRCC customer service and sending webforms, AoR has been since 29th Nov 2023, no BIL or MEP yet?

Haaaa...... When you call them, what do they say is happening on your application?

What's your GCKey saying?

Have you ordered GCMS notes?

Hello everyone,

Got married after COPR and I'm aware that adding your spouse after receiving the COPR will result in the cancellation of the existing COPR, and the profile (including your spouse's) will be reviewed again.

Could anyone who has recently gone through this process share their timeline and how long it took for a new COPR to be issued?

Thanks.

Do you mind me asking when you are planning to leave Nigeria for Ontario? I just got my PPR, also through ontario nomination. It will be nice to connect with a fellow Nigerian leaving soon too.

Hi Rhoda,

I’m not sure when I’ll be leaving, but I’m leaning towards August.

I still have a lot of things to sort out before I leave, so August has not been confirmed yet.

When would you wanna leave too?

The official Canadian website that shows exchange rates for various currencies has been down since October/November last year. Currently, everyone uses either xe.com or oanda.

What I mean is delay in processing visa to Canada, can I make use of the money in my proof of funds and later return it back ? Is it going to affect me now that I have done my biometric since January?

Do not touch your POF for any reason. What if you get an ADR (Additional Documents Required) concerning your POF, how are you going to prove to your VO that the money is yours and not borrowed?

Please what's the minimum IELTS score for an express entry application?

This is already on page 1 of this thread.

A minimum of CLB7 in LRWS is required to qualify for FSW and set up an EE profile (for IELTS this is a LRWS 6/6/6/6). To get max CRS points for language (CLB10) you need IELTS LRWS 8.5/8/7.5/7.5, the step below that (CLB9) is LRWS 8/7/7/7.

Can someone please confirm if Deed of gift from parent is still a good and acceptable for POF? Like someone daddy deposit lumpsum into the applicants account to use as POF.

Yes, a deed of gift is still acceptable.

Make sure in the description, your dad puts “gift deed” there so that it reflects when you print out your statement of account.

Also, when submitting your application, include any of your dads signed means of ID (intl passport, Drivers license, etc) as part of the docs you’re submitting for POF.

All the best!!!

I have been wondering how to register an expression of interest for Ontario nominee program but I am a little confused on how to go about it.
When I submitted my profile in the express entry pool, I recall a section where I was asked about provinces that I will like to live in, and Ontario was one of the province I selected.
My question now is, does selecting Ontario as a province automatically mean that my Express entry profile will be considered when Ontario conducts it own draws? Or is there another way by which I can register an expression of interest?

As mentioned by someone earlier, it's not possible to register an expression of interest directly to Ontario. Instead, Ontario would express interest in your profile (NOI).

Given that you've chosen Ontario as one of the provinces you're interested in residing in, your profile will be considered for their HCP draws. If Ontario wasn't selected, your profile won't be considered for the Ontario HCP draws.

Good evening to the good people of this house.

I'm a software developer with a combined work experience of 4 years (not just software). I have BSC, no Masters. I just clocked 30,hence I've been wondering if I I've got a shot at this.

Are there special considerations/pathways for people in tech that'll improve my chances? Any tech people here who have emigrated recently who were in my shoes? Please put me through.

Thank you kindly.

Yes, there are special pathways for guys in the tech field.

There’s a STEM pathway, and various provinces have pathways for tech occupations too (I’m conversant with Ontarios own coz I got nominated by them).

Read and digest everything on page 1 then get into the pool as soon as possible.

All the best!!!!

Thank you Sir, now before you charge me for my laziness, i have gone over page 1 religiously but i still have 1 question. My profile is about to expire in a few days, how do i go about getting the NOI to the new profile?

You will have to create a new profile, send an email to OINP with your new EE number and job seeker code, ask them to transfer and update your nomination on the new profile.

Hello house,

I have receieved NOI from OINP for French.

All the documents required for submission are available on the OINP website.

Also, there's a Telegram group for OINP (I can add you to the main group then you would have to message one of the admins so they can add you to the OINP group. You'd have to show proof of getting the NOI to be added.)

Send an email so I can add you to the main group.

Thanks!! But again, the one having a sibling in Canada is age 34 and to be 35 next year, whereas the other is just 27 the golden age without a sibling. What about this?

My bad….. apologies. Skipped the ages when I was reading through. Someone has answered who’s in the best position.

Greetings guys!

Which profile do you think would stand more chance in the pool at all levels.

1) A woman with a sibling in Canada, has Bsc and Msc, age 34, max IELTS, 3years+ of working experience, she's gat 3kids as well.

2) A woman "without" a sibling in Canada, has Bsc and Msc, age 27, max Ielts, 3years+ of working experience and also has kids.

Which would be more favorable in the pool, for provinces,FSW, PNP, State, in all levels of canada application. I just need good advice on this, Thanks in anticipation!

Based on the facts stated above, the 1st woman stands a better chance. You get extra points for having a sibling in Canada.

Hello, I have a friend whose husband will be 42 this month. Studied French in his BSC and Masters. Has been a French teacher in a secondary school for about 10years. What are his chances of migrating through the Express Entry route without having to go through Provincial Nominee Program since they don't have anyone in Canada?
NB the wife is a nurse.

Cc @ GraciousWords

Not all Provincial Nominee Programs require that you have family in Canada (Ontarios PNP is a good example).

There’s an express entry stream for French speakers. So your friend can write TEF and hopefully qualify for that stream depending on IRCC’s mood.

"If you evaluate/complete an online course like CIMA, ACCA, BCS, indicate "distance learning" in CAPs, in bracket after your education and update location as your country of residence during course otherwise the system may automatically require a UK PCC."

I read the above statement from the first page.
Can someone throw more light on this, I'm a little confused.

As an illustration, consider the British Computer Society (BCS), an organization based in the UK. If you list a BCS certificate which you sat for in Nigeria, during the certificate evaluation process, it will indicate that the certificate was issued by a UK-based organization (That is if you specified UK as the location of the study). Consequently, the system may think that you took the exam in the UK, which would trigger a request for a police report.

To avoid this issue, when completing your EAPR, include "distance learning" in brackets after any certificate obtained in Nigeria but issued by a foreign organization.

Also, if like me you already made the mistake of putting UK as the location of study for a certificate you obtained via distance learning in Nigeria, you can write an LOE to back it up and attach proof too.

Hope this is helps.

Many advert you see online...learn tech 3 months( business analyst, cyber security etc) and earn 6 figure salary and it mostly new comers that fall victim...another modern day ripe off!!

lol… even here in Nigeria, lots of these bootcamps out there promise students that they’d get jobs (remote and local) right after they’re done with the program.
You’d now see lots of them being frustrated coz they’ve not gotten any jobs related to what they studied during the boot camp.
There are solid bootcamps out there, but you as a person have to put in the work too. Don’t depend solely on what they teach you in these bootcamps, you also have to go further by studying extra.

Anyhoo, all the best to them.

Please how many months bank statements does IRCc require?

My score is 475 and I am hopping, I will be picked by the next stem draw.

I want to pull all my money into one account and just live it there without making any transactions on that account. When I get ITA then I can print the bank statements. Please is this advisable

Why not do a gift deed?
