Hey guys, i was also sent an email telling me I’ve been shortlisted for the next stage. Got a call from the HCP people later in the day but couldn’t pick the call at first coz I was busy as at that time. I called some minutes after and the call went through and I was told that an email would be sent to me confirming the date, time and venue slot assigned to me.
I wish everyone success in the upcoming assessment center.

For people to have collected your number and all, means you really tried. Big ups.

Based on where you’re gonna play/have a gig, try and know before hand the sorta music the person that employed you likes and also try and know if the sorta people who are gonna be present at the party are all about street songs or other genres of music. This would help you prepare well. Also read your crowd too wink

There was a time a friend asked me to come play at his ogas child birthday party. Speakers, controller, amp and all were provided. I just had to take my laptop. There was another Dj on ground. He had more experience than I did and he was already playing before I got there.

When I was given a chance to play (I’m not a fan of street songs too), I was playing more of the Mr eazi, maleek berry typo songs and people weren’t really gingered and all. I’m a big fan of South African beats (house) and you know a lotta our street songs copied their beats from these South African songs (penalty was copied from Zenze). I switched up to those South African songs and I could see people moving their bodies now and all.

So what I was doing was switching between a South African beat and another Nigerian beat which was similar to the South African beat. For me, I was giving these listeners a taste of different worlds. And I always didn’t play a street song for Long sha but the SA beats always played longer than the street songs. The Dj on ground commended me and even collected my folder for my SA songs.

All in all, always be prepared to switch when the crowd isn’t feeling what you’re playing and at times, you gotta give the crowd what they want. If they want street, give them street (you can now infuse your own blend of other songs which you wanna put in like I did with the SA songs) and don’t take all song requests, you can’t satisfy everyone and you’re the DJ so you should decide if you wanna play or not play a song. No ones to decide for you.

Benz actually copied BMW.

BMW came out with the X6 back in 07 or 08 and they were successful with it. Then benz came to copy.

Exaclty..... they think bigger/more pixels equates to better image quality.

All these things all have to do with how the hardware and software have been optimised to perform.

I seriously don't understand something o.. Tecno and infinix always have 13mp 16mp even 21megapixel cameras. Yet this phone has 8/12mp..is camera quality measured differently.

Bigger megapixels doesn't always equate to better camera quality.

I think the htc m7 or m8 didn't have as much pixels as most other phones in it's range as at when it was released but it performed better than most of them with bigger pixel counts.

They all think that once you see a big battery capacity, it automatically means it'll last long.
So many things come into play with battery usage.

Thats 3850mah might even be better(last longer) than a phone with 4000mah or higher.
This would be because of the architecture used in designing the phone and also how the hardware components make use of the battery.

The ML naming convention has been stopped and GLE naming convention is whats been adopted. So the ML 350 is now a GLE 350.

ML is a series that started from mseries in 90's and ended 2016 bro.

The ML naming convention ended in 2015 and they adopted the GLE naming convention in 2016.

Most of my posts on instagram show me driving. So someone slid into my dms asking me about the traffic laws and stuff.

Here are some rules I’ve figured out so far.

On the highway, the most important law is “go with the flow of traffic”. Everyone can’t be going at 60mph and you’re driving at 20mph, you will be pulled over by the cops.
On 3 or 4 lane highways, the lane on the left is reserved for passing (overtaking), you cannot drive slow on that lane.
Similarily, the lane on the right is for slower driving cars
If you notice people slowing down, slow down too. Chances are there’s a cop hidden somewhere waiting to pull you over.

Concerning your education stuff, if you feel starting again is too much stress for you, you could try out IT. Most especially software development. There are various coding bootcamps available over there.
Just a suggestion if you have any interest in IT and starting again would be stressful.

I looked at the course outline for nursing, it included anatomy and physiology 1 and 2. I asked if I could take a placement test for those at least, to take some credits, she declined. Even my GSTs from my first year in school, philosophy and logic, civic education etc etc, she said they can’t accept any of them.

I thanked her for her time, stood up and while walking out it dawned on me, I had wasted 6years of my life, studying in that school for nothing.
