The merit plan is 3,000 naira for 3GB during the day time, and unlimited browsing throughout the night from 11PM - 8AM.
Validity is 1 month.

Validity is 2 weeks actually.

Jst 99% sure. Cos we wil b gettin a mail jst for D... nt M. U wil b given medical form afta succesful documentation. Again, historically, D mail usually gives less dan a week notice. Thirdly, he's d only one sayin he got a mail.
I stand to be corrected o

I also haven’t gotten a mail too. If they have started sending the mails out, I’m sure a lot of people would’ve come here to say this and not just one person coming on here to state this.

Job security

You get to take some professional courses online for free, and if you take the courses religiously, you'd stand a chance to take premium courses (online or offline) in some of the best business schools in the world.

I can't name-drop everything right now. You'd know the others when you're eventually in the system.

I agree with you on the job security aspect and the allowances (13th month salary and other bonuses).

that part that referred to successful candidates still being contacted, should give hope to those that were not sent the last mails.

Or what did you make of it

Based on this statement “While the candidates who were successful in their Assessment Centre are still being contacted by the Bank in phases for on-boarding and Training School, the on-boarding for those who are yet to be invited will resume in due course.”, I feel people are still gonna be contacted for other batches. The people who got the first mails stating that they’ll be contacted for the next batch, in my opinion would most likely be called for the next batch. Then people who haven’t gotten any mails at all but are already shortlisted by FBN would get mails for the next batch after this coming one.

Just my thoughts. These are not facts.

It’s nice that they’re giving us some reassurance that we’ve not been forgotten.

If only they could just send a reassurance mail or possibly a scheduling mail
It is well

Very soon bruv..... be patient. Just have it at the back of your mind that training school is 3 months and they’ll be in the 3rd month of training school next month (September). That should give you some reassurance.

Like the next batch starts immediately after this outgoing batch?

It’s just an unproved assumption. Not sure about the plans FBN has for we in the next batch.

Training school people have spent a month now, meaning this time next month we would be preparing for the pre-training school formalities.

Hope you guys are having fun at the training school?

Quite cool though but as a piece of advice, if you're not so busy now, spend ample time in reading up on macro economics, financial accounting, introduction to banking, banking regulations in Nigeria, communication skills, treasury, customer relationship management, etc. ICAN study packs and some other handouts can be so instrumental in this regard.

It's best you get ready now because there'd not be much spare time when you resume

Thanks for this..... also wanted to ask, how have the various tests and exams within the training school been?

While we're waiting for the TS mail to drop, I'll like to share a link to a thread that I stumbled on here on Nairaland. Its very insightful and its just 9 pages.

https://www.nairaland.com/2643185/bankers-ex-bankers-bankers/1

Thanks for this. Mine is too work in the banking sector for a few years and jet out. Unlike where i am currently, the IT department in a bank would give me exposure to more things than what I’m currently being exposed to over here.

O.P do you know that according to Forbes, Otedola isn't a Billionare, let that sink into your poorly informed mind.. Femi Otedola is not a billionaire.. Nigeria has only 3 billionaires and even Otedola isn't one.

If you see a Nigerian worth more than 15million USD, you're already talking a rare member of the 1% of Nigerians. let me spell this clearly for y'all in the back, worth is measured in UNITED STATES DOLLARS ($) no matter the billions of naira a man has, if it does equal a BILLION DOLLAR, bro.. he's not a billionaire, he's a wealthy man, but not a billionaire.
..

Chairman, you deserve a resounding round of applause. I tell a lotta people, most of these people they’re calling billionaires are NAIRA BILLIONAIRES and not DOLLAR BILLIONAIRES.

Car Talk / Is There A Law That Says It’s A Crime To Use Google Maps In Your Car In Nigeria? by ezzylee(m): 9:01am On May 19, 2019
A friend of mine said she was stopped by an FRSC official in Abuja because she was using google maps at a traffic light stop. She wasn’t holding on to the phone, the phone was located in the compartment just below the A/C controls. The man let her go because she mentioned she’s related to a BIG INDIVIDUAL in Abuja.

My question is, is it in the law that using google maps in your car is a crime because there’s no difference between using google maps and using the NAVIGATION SCREEN (if available) of your car.

Thanks.
