Nonsense!

What's his motive?

Why should he be asking such question?

When we tell them to learn common etiquette , when we tell them to be morally sound, they'll say it doesn't matter and that it's old fashion!

Like must you even discuss sex-related topic even if you claim you're sociable?

Family / Re: Look At The Snake I Killed In My Living Room Just Now by Fab21: 3:40pm On Sep 27, 2023
@OP, Thank God for safety.

The funniest line was your wife shouting that you must kill that snake whereas, it's their first mother that's discussing with the snake back then and having a chit-chat with that crawling creature.

It's not easy to be a man ooo grin
Imaging your wife insisting you must kill the snake but fled with the kid.

Let me share my experience with a snake.

2 yrs ago, I came to visit a relative.
The environment was a little bit bushy, though. One fateful afternoon, I was outside receiving a call and suddenly, I saw that crawling creature; it's very big and thick. The snake was about to enter the house through the kitchen door but thank God it's locked at the moment. I was shouting from outside that non of them(the kids, wife and the husband) should come out.

I dropped my phone looking for a Stone.
Immediately the snake was trying to move and find its way to the bush, but by then , I'd gotten a stone.

I hit it with that big stone in its back. While I was doing that, a neighbour joined me used cutlass on it and eventually I find another stone and hit it again on its back before finally cutting off its head...

Another Experience was during my NYSC prog.
I was walking through the corper's Lodge that night when I saw that snake at the entrance of one of the rooms In the compound.

I beckoned my male colleagues shouting snake! Snake!
The funniest thing was that there's no tool to use to kill the snake. One of us quickly went inside and took his jungle boot and hit it with it.

I eventually found a little stone and swing stool that the kids do play with.
I hit it with it and it died.

The funniest part of it was that, none of the female corp members move closer to us. They're just screaming. There was a guy that's too scared and he's just staring at us. grin

Snakes are very cunny and sometimes when they're inside a house you won't even know for some months.

@Op, create a time and clean the house.
Atleast to clear all doubts.

Though not all snakes are venomous...

The most scary part of it is snake coming in through the Water Closet Pipe. If it's true, I don't want to experience that.

1Corithinthians 6:12

KJV:All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

ESV:“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.

NIV:“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.

AMP:Everything is permissible (allowable and lawful) for me; but not all things are helpful (good for me to do, expedient and profitable when considered with other things).

Everything is lawful for me, but I will not become the slave of anything or be brought under its power.

I think this discourse is about Christianity.
I could remember when Tope Alabi wore a trouser during her father's burial, people were castigating her because they believed she's a role model to Christians...

Does it mean wearing trouser as a female is a sin? No!

But there are some things in Christendom that requires wisdom.

As a pastor, there are things that should be more important to him than his dreadlocks and earrings.

He's a Pastor for Christ sake. Like what Apostle Paul explained in that verse above, He's the right to do anything but not everything is beneficial.

Wisdom is profitable to direct.

Politics / Re: Mohbad: Sympathisers ‘Dispersed With Teargas’ At Lekki Tollgate by Fab21: 9:21am On Sep 22, 2023
Too much of emotions and lack of objectivity.

It's insane and a misplaced priority.

The question is, what exactly was their motive?

If the news is true, why Lekki Toll Gate again?

People are dying on a daily basis. I lost my uncle yesterday while some Nigerians have died through accidents, kidnapping & robbery. But no body is protesting against such demonic acts.

See people protesting and constituting nuisance because of a celebrity who don't even know you when he's alive...

Maybe if they've diverted the energy to the present State of the Nation it would've been better even though PROTEST have never worked out in 9ja without being hijacked.

Allow the Police to do their proper investigation.
Do the procession In peace and go back home.

9ja has been damaged seriously; very serious issues affecting the nation.

Don't wreak havoc in the name of procession.

Going through same thing, here.

Atleast you've something that's coming in for you.

It's not easy bro especially if you're a Nigerian and you're not from a rich family, or relatives that can support you.

You'll need to build from the scratch; which comes with rejection, hardwork, insults, frustration, depression and ignominy.
I've gone through this. Just keep on pushing you'll get there.

Atleast you got to medical stage. You'll definitely get something meaningful.

5 months after NYSC, I got a job at one Microfinance in Lagos. I needed to secure an accommodation in Lagos State because of the job, but to no avail. Eventually, someone linked me to a Church where I can manage...

I started the job Jan this year but it's not easy for me coming from work and sleeping inside a church.

Lagos Mosquitoes drilled me by sucking my skin & the blood simultaneously; well, it's their work, so they're delighted in doing that.

The work was rigorous and it's target-related work. Sometimes after a stressful day at work, I don't always feel happy going home because there's no time to rest in church, always lonely. ..
Once I got to the church to rest, there's always an evening service during the week & before you know it, it's already morning again.

The team lead at work would talk to you anyhow if you're behind target. They'll Drill you emotionally and mentally to the extent that you won't even be able to think about your personal life again.

I presume my Adversity Quotient was low then. So, I quit the job after 2 months. Coming back to my base, "You look so lean" that's the voices of people welcoming me.

Since then, I've not gotten any opportunity.
The Freelancing work comes once in a while and not frequent...

A coursemate called me last night asking for financial help but I couldn't help. I wish I can..

It's crazy I must say.
If you don't have a stable income, you'll look so stupid..

I wish job seekers success..

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Is GNLD/NEOLIFE Officially A Scam? by Fab21: 10:43am On Sep 16, 2023
Neolife/GNLD isn't a scam as erroneously thought. It's a network marketing. However, people/the team you join use different strategy to make people join their network business.

Depending on the team you join, because there are different teams scattered all over the nation; some might want to extort you through manipulative words to lure you and collect money from you for the registration. Or tell you to market products.

If you're fortunate to join a good team like I've said, the first level is a distributor if I'm not mistaken. And your team might work with you through sealing of appointments in churches, mosques, CDA, or any places that comprise a group of people.

During the presentations at the aforementioned places, you'll definitely see people among the audience/congregants that will show interest in doing medical test.

They'll do the test for the people that showed interest and also analyze the test results for them and fortunately, there's tendency the patient /the person being tested will pick some products which are in various amounts.

If your team work with you atleast for a month, you'll get your money for the registration through what I've explained above.

During their presentations, what they actually talk about is based on health talk which includes: our diet, chronic infection and exercise.

Basically they use Quantum Magnetic Resonance Machine for doing the test and it will check the 25-parametres of your body system; very effective machine.

Like I've said earlier, depending on the team you're fortunate to join, not all of them do these health presentations.

Some will even tell you that they'll teach you some digital marketing skills for free. And explained to you that , why you're making money online through neolife, you can also make money online through those Digital skills you'll learn.

After you might have registered, you'll still need to bring in people to your business to make it grow. They call them Downlines.

The more products you're able to sell, the more your PV-Point value increases.

These are some of the levels in the Network Marketing. Pls note, they're not arranged based on their hierarchy as listed below.

From distributor to Manager, Qualified Senior Manager, Executive Manager , Director , Sapphire, Diamond, Rubby and like that.

They use different strategies.

If you think you can't use your own personal money for the registration, then the team can work with you to get the funds through Presentation.

Pls don't let anybody use motivational talks to collect your money from you.
Be wise and I don't think it's by force to join.

The more reason why you see them posting job adverts like: 'workers urgently needed' is because they need Downlines that will join their business.. Those Downlines will register under them to increase their status.

It's just like a CHAIN. That's why it's called Network Marketing...

Note: They sell supplements. Those supplements are effective but expensive.

The choice is yours. Don't allow anyone to manipulate you.

Romance / Re: 16 Year Student Has A Crush On Me by Fab21: 6:03pm On Sep 14, 2023
@OP, it's normal.
It's called [b]proximity Bug[/b

During my service year, there's this JSS2 student that's so much attracted to me. I knew it from the onset. She's good looking and super intelligent more than her age. She got so attracted to me.. I was very observant. I knew her thoughts; I can read it. There's a time she got a phone. She collected my contact and started calling me often. But I tried to maintain teacher-to-students relationship with her.

I told my fianceé about her; I carried her along.
Even most of her classmates already knew that she's my favourite student..

The day i was going for my POP, she's crying profusely and weeping like a baby. I needed to take my time to calm her down ...

We're very close, then. She's emotionally attached with me ...

But after my service, I tried to cut the relationship off gradually and eventually, I was able to cut it off.. I do chat her once in a while on Facebook.

I'm certain by now, that feelings and emotional attachment would've reduce drastically.

@OP, I'll advise you to explain things to her based on her own understanding.
Let her know your stand. Tell her to focus on her academics and future. Pls don't take advantage of her and if you've a friend either male or female that you can trust, you can carry them along to be on a safer side ...

And probably , you should always try to conduct the lesson in an open place. Peradventure you've been chatting on social media, narrow it down to the ' Guitar Lesson's alone. If she try to deviate to sex, relationship or any other things that can trigger your emotions, pls stop immediately. Just try to avoid anything that can lead to emotional Progression between you.

Since you said the lesson pays you good money, I'll not advice you to quit. But be careful.
