Where you quiet? Second richest state for where, were do you put Akwa ibom and Rivers State..... If you see the monthly Allocation of Delta State you will wept for the state, you can't compare Delta to Ebonyi talk less of Rivers state or the might Akwa ibom state[/quote]Why should he keep quiet? Is he not saying the truth. The below statistics is for 2020. If you have to weep is because PDP in Delta has mortgaged the state over the years Characteristic Funds in billion Naira Delta 186.8 Akwa Ibom. 146.3 Rivers 141.2 Bayelsa 116.4 Lagos 115.9 Kano 81.3 Kaduna 63.1 Katsina 61.4 Borno 60.1 Edo 58.4 Jigawa 56.4 Imo 55.7 Niger 54.6 In 2020, the Nigerian government allocated the highest disbursements to Delta, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa, and Lagos. It's only the gullible one that will believe all that is written up there. He's showing us a stadium picture that has been worked on graphically. Another case study is Agbarho/Orherhe bridge project. The so call "Agbarho/Orherhe bridge" that he mentioned, come and see what they did. The road itself is from Agbarho through Orherhe to Otokutu at the other end. The government started the road construction but commissioned from Agbarho end. From Orherhe community which has about 2 bridges sections through to Otokutu was abandoned. This part of road is a very very bad shape. Now you can see a whole Governor counting Agbarho/Orherhe bridge as a completed project. When he was the one who commissioned the road. This is state funds, not from is pocket. Most of the stuff he wrote there are lies. I dey warri. We dey see and hear every every. E body dey ginger because he's a now VP aspirant. It is well SARSCoV2: Same Okowa.
Mod’s should please move this thread to jokes section.
Okowa that is just a sitting furniture in government house.
Even Deltans know that their state does not have a governor |

Ryan materials canadadream2019@yahoo.com vicnoshon: Thanks boco2126 for this detailed write-up. Pls send me the materia-l vicnoshon@gmail.com
[quqote author=boco2126 post=73293040]On this IELTS issue...my two cents.
1. Stick to a FEW practice materials! The number of materials for IELTS that we see on a daily on this thread can be overwhelming. Try out only a few and stick to the one that resonates with you. Don't use ieltsliz, Jay, Cambridge, ieltsadvantage, road2ielts etc at the same time (some of these peope don't agree on the same approach and reading all can get really confusing). If you try one and it sits well with you, ditch others. Focus on that one and be a master of it. I almost got overwhelmed at some point, because l wanted to open every link or try every material l saw here. But l had to give myself brain oh.
2. Practise everyday. No excuses. Create the time. Even at work, you can use your lunch break to practise. Instead of listening to music or radio on your way to work, listen to your downloaded tips on writing, speaking, reading, listening. When walking down the streets, have an earpiece on (l hate this, but we can make sacrifices for one month abi?) and keep LISTENING. At weekends, practice speaking with your wife/husband, friend, son/daughter etc. Write out questions and tell them to ask you (under exam conditions). I finished a WHOLE 30 leaves notebook for listening practice (yeah l work an 8 to 5 and live on the mainland with my office on the island -remember, no excuses!). Always check your wrong answers and replay those portions and find out what you didn't hear properly. I used youtube for listening/speaking/reading.
3. There's this ielts expert too, one Ryan (cannot remember his surname) that l think is underrated. I used his tips for writing. He talks about 15 sentences max for writing. 3 paragraphs with 4 sentences and the closing paragraph should have 3 sentences. This keeps you in check and you already know what to write before the exam, all you will be waiting for on the ielts day is the topic given! I can share his materials if you drop your email address. For writing, write letter and essays! Don't read what someone else wrote. Write yours too. Some people practise writing by reading another's work -WRONG! write yours too and compare. Minimum letters to write on different topics - 10. Minimum essays - 20. Revise your work and look for better ways to reconstruct your sentences. I suggest you write with pencil on your exam day so you can erase if need be.
4. For reading - use youtube. It also has a timer, so practice using the time and don't stop the timer or pause the video. The easiest comprehension in reading are the first two. Spend less time there. Say 5 mins tops for each. You do not need to UNDERSTAND nada. Just look at the instructions (very important), then the questions, then scroll through the passages for the answers. You need all your time for the last two passages. They are more technical.
5. For speaking - Be confident, relaxed and know your basic english and introduction (see ieltsliz). See this as an interview. We all attend interviews don't we? I got a list of 42 likely cue cards from ieltsliz blog (l think she said they change it every 3 months but she always update the cue card questions) and l practiced the 42 different topics and l always set my two minutes timer with my phone. You can be in the BRT or your car and practice this one, or when walking down the street or whilst doing chores at home, or lying down in your bed doing nothing (l did this. Some days, people will think you are going crazy because you are talking to yourself, but...who no go no know). One of the 42 questions l practiced was my cue card during my speaking test -something on my pet animal (l was wondering "madam why me? Animal kwa?" but because l had practised earlier, the examiner had to cut me off when it was two minutes. I just went on and on.
4. Lastly and certainly not the least...the place of PRAYER. I'm catholic, so when l saw the prayer to St. Joseph of Cupertino here, l made a mental note to say it. I started saying it every day from September till i wrote my exam on the 1st of November. I even added a 9 days St. Joseph of Cupertino novena with prayer and fasting which ended on the 31st of October (l'm that extra oh. I left no chances). I asked my family to add me in their prayers too. So, pray, pray and pray. Whatever works for you. Someone dropped one St. prayer here on financial assistance for POF, best believe l'll look for that prayer and do it too!
5. People have done it, you too can. Don't be discouraged if you have tried more than once. We don't give up on this thread oh. Being here has taught me a different level of selflessness and never say never spirit. People you don't even know are quick to help and empathise and l am still in awe of you guys.
6. Please drop your email address so l can send the Ryan materials to you.
This too shall pass!
All the best everyone and my apologies for the long post. |

Good morning all and Happy New Year once more.
Please I want to know if both the husband and wife need to write IELTS/PTE as in the case of Canada PR to boost points?
If each needs to write separately, can each of them write different exams? ie husband writes IELTS and wife write PTE
Thanks |

Thanks. Nickoko: Australia have 2 occupational List which are SOL and Csol. Csol is the state occupational list while SOL is the federal occupational list. You are expected to check both list and see where your nominated occupation falls into. SOL nomination does not require POF while more States requires you to provide evidence of settlement proof of fund before been nominated. |

Good day Mr. Bellong,
Please help me on this. I studied Mechanical Engineering at HND level, PGD - Production Engineerring, MSc - Engineering Management. I have 9 years working experience as Safety Officer.
Do I evaluate with Engineer Australia or VETASSES? Which one of them is supposed to handle my case.
Thanks |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Fabulousfinite: 8:59pm On Dec 29, 2016 |
Good day Dupyshoo, Please just want to get little clarifications. 1.From Australia site, it states that POF is part of the requirement. From your post, on what ground would one not provide POF while applying for PR to Australia. 2. I also discovered that one drops point considerably when you clock 40 year of age. From 25pts to 15pts dupyshoo: Yeah, they both have their pros and cons. These are what I have been able to gather from the 2 systems.
Australia Pros 1. POF not require 2. Age does not drop points significantly 3. BSc and Msc. get the same point 4. It takes roughly about 1 month to get PPR after AOR 5. You can get ITA with zero work experience (especially for Engineers) 6. It favours those with high number of years of work experience 7. It favours Engineers as most Engineers have their job code under SOL List and CSOL list and Engineer Australia can be very fast to evaluate qualifications 8. You can decide to write PTE instead of IELTS. People say PTE is easier
Cons 1. Application fee is about 3 times that of Canada 2. You will not only evaluate your certificate, you will have to evaluate your work experience as well if you plan to claim points for work experience 3. No of years of work experience are often reduced after evaluation 4. It can take ages to get work experience evaluated 5. You only get points at all if you have 3 or more years of work experience 6. You need all 7s in IELTS to get 10 points for language and all 8s to get 20 points 7. if your occupation is not under SOL list or CSOL list, it is nearly impossible to get PR 8. It is nearly impossible for Medical doctors, lawyers, etc for to get PR as they will need to pass their professional exams first before applying 9. Work experience must be in the same NOC as your academic qualification for it to count.
Canada Pros 1. Application fee is reasonable 2. You do not need to evaluate work experience 3. Good for Medical doctors and others in regulated professions 3. You just need to target 8.5,8,7.5 and 7.5 in LRSW 4. There is no SOL/CSOL List. You will qualify once your NOC code is under 0,A or B 5. Work experience does not have to be in the same NOC as your academic qualification for it to count. 6. You just need 3 year work experience for you to get maximum score under work experience
Cons 1. POF is required 2. Without MSc or a "professional" qualification, you will have to rely on PNP to get above 450 3. PNP is very difficult to get 4. Age has a huge impact on your score 5. Work experience does not count after 3 years 6. It takes about 6 months after AOR to get PPR. 7. You will need the combination of this 3 to get above 450: good IELTS score, 3 year work experience, MSc/2 or more qualifications/regulated professions
Please be free to add more to allow people to decide on which route to pursue. |
