Submitted new POF to the University in order to meet a Visa Compliance Check condition due to the visa refusal received in Aug – Oct 27th

Biometrics – Nov 9th

NSF Mail – Nov 12th

CAS Used Update – Nov 17th

Paid Email – Nov 19th

Application moved to VAC – Nov 22nd

Collection Mail – Nov 22nd

Passport received with Vignette – Nov 23rd

 

I will never forget when I received the last refusal on the 10th of August. I was devastated, depressed, and pressed down. It seemed over for me at the time but God said He was just getting started with me. A number of friends I’d made during my biometrics in July at the time traveled to the UK and this made me sadder because I felt left behind. Few of them stood with me and kept monitoring my progress, just to ensure that I didn’t give up and I am glad I didn’t. I dare say that GOD CAME THROUGH FOR ME!

There is nothing like leniency with immigration rules, it’s all about meeting the requirement. Check everything I stated above, I am no longer in Nigeria, I hv paid for my accommodation, flight and other stuffs while in the UK so my maintenance fee is not longer expected to be part of my family application.

Hello my people… I just have time to read Nairaland now, finding feet in this UK is interesting and demanding. I think it will be selfish of me if I couldn’t contribute my own quota of information I got concerning this issue.

Once you indicate that your dependants are coming with you whether now or later you must show proof of funds to cover for everyone. If you go ahead and apply with your POF alone because they are not coming immediately, you will be given visa o but when your dependants will apply later is when jungle will mature. This is very dicey, the main applicant shouldn't have transferred any money especially the 5M out of that account. The home office may think the 5m transferred is what the dependant is using as POF. Not looking good at all in my opinion though I stand to be corrected. Let's just hope for the best.

Lesson to others: please apply together with POF for your entire family at once even if you are going separately.

I have been confused for a while now when I saw some posts from people whose spouse has already gotten visa been rejected. For me , my wife already had gotten hers 2 weeks ago but I and the spouse did not apply together. We intend to apply in the coming weeks. What could be the reason for the rejection? Is there anything they didn’t do well? For us we wrote in my wife application that I will be applying alongside the kids and that the POF for ours will be in my account. Should we go ahead and apply or wait for her to enter Uk first before applying ? Who has ever applied after his spouse for a visa and got visa
