No excuse for domestic violence against women

Pastor Dr Paul Enenche of Dunamis International Gospel Centre has released a video of what has actually transpired between him, the church and gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu.

In the 10 minute video, the man of God detailed how about 2 months ago, the singer complained of chest pain and after some scans were done and some treatments taken, she felt better.

However, according to the Pastor Enenche he was in far away Cameroon for a crusade when news broke of her passing.

Pastor Paul Enenche said that when he heard the sad news, and allegations of domestic abuse by Peter Nwachukwu (the husband) he immediately had a meeting with Osinachi Nwachukwu's sister and asked her if the stories were true which she affirmed.

Pastor Paul Enenche proceeded to ask why nothing was said to him as he was hearing these domestic violence allegations for the first time and the singer's sister said that the singer begged that no one should ever let Pastor Paul or his wife know about the situations surrounding her family.

Pastor Paul Enenche also contacted and visited the first son of the singer asking the same question and yet the same answer that the singer always said, no one should ever tell Pastor Paul that God would intervene soon....


Pastor Paul Enenche was shocked by all these and no longer had to hesitate to release the video where he said domestic violence is not condoned by him or the church he oversees.

He referenced his other preachings on relationship and marriage where he mentioned that no one should ensure marriage or be a victim of domestic violence.

My mum told us a story where she was in Murtala Muhammed airport in Lagos and when she landed from Dubai, the immigration woman assigned to her was unusually soo difficult and arrogant. The woman refused to clear her bag and insisted on 50k for a bag of clothes o! My mum begged and begged and even when she discovered she was Igbo, used Igbo to still beg but this woman adamantly refused. My mum said, "you will meet me one day and beg like this"

About 2 years later, they both jammed in another state and my mum said, "you work in immigration right? You remembered when I kept begging you and you still extorted me?"

The woman was just looking at my mum, it was like pure movie and at that point she desperately needed my mum's help.

My mum still helped her sha and told her, "you don't own tomorrow, you never know who you would need help from" the woman was speechless all through and finally thanked her profusely at the end

Some eyes are cleared now

I saw this on Facebook and I couldn't help but recall how good friends could become bitter political enemies with their supporters fighting among themselves online. Lol

I've always doubted reports of Nigerians living up to 100+ because of the life expectancy stats published by international organizations. The record of the oldest person in the world is 118 years and if this woman is at least 107 and she isn't even regarded as the oldest Nigerian then low rate of violent crimes and good record keeping Nigerians may compete for the crown.

I felt before the Nigerian match, the Super Eagles players should have at least showed solidarity and support by a one minute silence or by wearing a black armband in honour to the victims of the Kaduna Train Attack
